DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH arrived onto PlayStation 5 one-year ago. To celebrate the one-year launch anniversary, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS recently announced that Hideo Kojima’s epic is on sale now! For the first time, Porters-to-be can now purchase DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH for PC at a 20% discount on Steam for a limited time. DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is also available on PS5 through the PlayStation Store at a discounted rate – you can also subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium to play a 5-hour full game trial.

Nominated seven times at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards and winner of the Artistic Achievement award, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is a standalone sequel to DEATH STRANDING, in which you step into the boots of Sam and his companions as they journey across Australia on a new mission to save humanity from extinction and discover the answer to the haunting question:

Should we have connected?

Surrounded by enemies, Sam can shoot, sneak, and sprint his way out of trouble whilst surviving the natural disasters wreaking havoc upon the world. Sam must brave earthquakes, sandstorms and forest fires, as well as the ruinous Timefall as he strives to save humanity from extinction once again. Throughout Sam’s journey the Social Strand System connects players from around the globe, allowing you to shape someone else’s world, and have their actions shape yours.

DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH sees Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker return to Hideo Kojima’s genre defying universe. They are joined by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning film director George Miller.

The PC edition of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is Steam Deck Verified, and thanks to our friends at Nixxes Software, contains additional features, such as full integration with Nvidia’s DLSS, AMD’s FSR and Intel’s XeSS and upscaling and frame generation technologies as well as uncapped frame rates in gameplay and customised graphical settings ¹, super-ultrawide (32:9) support for gameplay, with standard ultrawide (21:9) support for in-game cut scenes ², full mouse and keyboard support with custom keybind mapping, full DualSense controller integration, with haptic feedback, adaptive trigger functionality ³, and Spatial Sound Support ⁴.
