Los Angeles – June 18, 2020 – Summer Game Fest, an all-digital multi-month global gaming festival, will host its first-ever Developer Showcase on Monday, June 22. Virtual doors will open at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT with the first live performance of the Outer Wilds’ soundtrack by composer, Andrew Prahlow and cellist, David Tangney, followed by exclusive game content kicking off at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT. Fans can tune in via all major streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer) and on IGN, GameSpot and summergamefest.com.

The Summer Game Fest Developer Showcase will spotlight a select group of upcoming indie and AAA video games, curated by the Day of the Devs team and Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards). The June showcase will feature games including: The Artful Escape (Beethoven & Dinosaur/Annapurna Interactive), Black Book (Morteshka), Drake Hollow (The Molasses Flood/Xbox Game Studios), The Eternal Cylinder (ACE Team/Good Shepherd Entertainment), Foregone (Big Blue Bubble), Haunted Garage (Games For Ghosts), Knuckle Sandwich (Andrew Brophy/SUPERHOT PRESENTS), Panzer Paladin (Tribute Games), Sea of Stars (Sabotage Studio), Skate Story (Sam Eng), Spinch (Akupara Games/Queen Bee Games/Jesse Jacobs), Starbase (Kowloon Nights/Frozenbyte), The Night is Grey (Whalestork Interactive) and Ynglet (Triple Topping Games/Nifflas), plus world exclusive debuts from Longhand Electric and thatgamecompany, and a surprise major AAA reveal hosted live on-air by Geoff Keighley.

In addition, for the fourth year in a row, the Day of the Devs team will spotlight games from the students at Gameheads. Gameheads provides tech training to low income students ages 15-25 using Video Game Design, Video Game Development and DevOps. Their vision is to develop diverse talent and bold new voices, train students for the tech ecosystem and prepare them for college, career and civic life.

Fans should stick around for a special musical performance by poet, rapper, singer and producer, Doseone (Sludge Life, Disc Room, Gang Beasts, Samurai Gunn 2), who will close out the showcase.

The Summer Game Fest Developer Showcase team will be hosting a second showcase in July which will include new content and debuts from Annapurna Interactive, MWM Interactive, Panic, Team17, ustwo games and many others. The Day of the Devs team is also continuing to accept submissions from indie developers for inclusion into the July showcase. Developers from all different backgrounds working on interesting and unique games are welcome to apply for consideration. More details to come soon.
