The F-16C is a single-seat, single-engine multirole fighter that was developed in the 1970s. More than 4,500 units were manufactured and are operated today by 26 countries where the aircraft performs numerous missions that include air superiority, close air support, precision bombing, air defense suppression, reconnaissance and more. Few other aircraft can match its versatility, maneuverability, firepower, and huge production numbers.

Nicknamed the Viper by its pilots, the F-16 was designed with a reclined seating position for high G tolerance and a single-piece bubble canopy for exceptional visibility and comfort. Its lightweight and powerful F-110-GE-129 engines provide a greater than 1:1 thrust ratio. Housed in the nose of the Viper is a multifunction APG-68(V)5 radar. The aircraft can also be equipped with multiple sensors such as the LITENING targeting pod and HARM Targeting System (HTS).

The Viper is armed for air-to-air combat with Sidewinders, AMRAAMs, and an internal 20mm 6-barrel Gatling gun. It can also be loaded with a wide range of air-to-ground weapons that include general-purpose bombs, rockets, canister munition, Mavericks, laser- and GPS-guided bombs, and more. July 25, 2019 – What if humanity suddenly encounters extraterrestrial intelligence on Earth? Bohemia Interactive is proud to announce today’s worldwide release of the much-anticipated Arma 3 Contact spin-off expansion for its military simulation game, Arma 3. The new expansion is introduced in a launch trailer.

Declassified just a few weeks ago (watch announcement trailer), Arma 3 Contact delivers a military science fiction singleplayer campaign, in which you play as a NATO drone operator deployed to the (fictional) Eastern European country of Livonia. After the discovery of an unknown subsurface object and the sudden arrival of a massive alien vessel, you are sent out on a reconnaissance mission to investigate the extraterrestrial presence. The priority: to learn who they are and find out why they are here. However, amid all the tension and chaos, armed conflict inevitably unfolds.

Over the course of the “First Contact” campaign, players are expected to run into infantry combat encounters, but a significant portion of the campaign also features non-shooting gameplay. This involves studying strange alien anomalies by operating a mini UGV with an onboard sampling laser and biopsy probe, as well as taking control over the electromagnetic spectrum with the Spectrum Device. This tool serves as the player’s weapon of choice when it comes to electronic warfare, and can be used for gathering intel, jamming, and transmitting misinformation.

On top of the singleplayer campaign, the Arma 3 Contact expansion brings with it many additions to the wider Arma 3 platform (watch sandbox trailer). The biggest of all is a new 163 square kilometer terrain, which covers the militarized and partly abandoned Nadbór region inside the Polish-speaking country of Livonia. This temperate summer environment is composed of forests, farmland, towns, railroads, the Biela river, and various special landmarks such as an old munitions factory, an abandoned radar station, and several World War II bunkers.

Other highlights are the additional armed forces, namely the Livonian Defense Force and Russian Spetsnaz, five weapons, two vehicles, various gear, and a range of free bonus content for all Arma 3 players, including more than one hundred new decorative props and terrain objects for content creators to use in their projects. Furthermore, many of Arma 3’s official multiplayer modes can be played on the expansion’s Livonia terrain as well with new scenarios for Zeus Game Master, Combat Patrol, and Warlords.

“Looking back at Contact’s concept phase, I’m very proud of how we managed to convert the many ideas into the original experience we’re releasing today. It tackles the ‘first contact’ premise in a way not yet seen in other games, while also showcasing the diversity of the Arma 3 platform,” said Arma 3 Contact Project Lead, Joris-Jan van ‘t Land. “Beyond the campaign experience, we’re also glad to be expanding the traditional Arma 3 sandbox with loads of cool content. Cyberpunk 2077 Coming to Gamescom with Contest and More

July 25, 2019 – CD PROJEKT RED announces plans on Cyberpunk 2077’s presence at this year’s gamescom, taking place August 20th – 24th in Cologne, Germany.

Entertainment area pass holders will be able to watch Cyberpunk 2077 being played live by members of the development team at the game’s booth located in Hall 6, Stand C049. These presentations will take place Wednesday, August 21st through Saturday, August 24th. The studio’s business booth in Hall 4.1, Stand C041/D050 will host behind-closed-doors gameplay showings for media and trade visitors from Tuesday, August 20th. These will continue up to and including Thursday, August 22nd.

This year’s gamescom will also play host to the first offline qualifier of the official Cyberpunk 2077 Cosplay Contest. The event will take place on Friday, August 23rd, and will see participants compete for the title of the most authentic Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay. First place prize will include $2000, Cyberpunk 2077-inspired merchandise, as well as a spot in the Cosplay Contest Grand Finale sporting a $30,000 prize pool.

Additional organizational details for the Cosplay Contest gamescom qualifiers, including exact time and location, will be revealed at a later date, prior to the event, via the game’s social media.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Delayed Now An Epic Games Store Exclusive

VANCOUVER – July 25, 2019 – Developer Piranha Games today announced that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, the classic series’ first single player campaign-focused entry in more than 17 years, will now drop into battle on December 10th exclusively on the Epic Games store. Community preorder pilots will be able to run practice missions in November via a closed beta ahead of the game’s full launch.

“Our partnership with the Epic Games store allows Piranha the opportunity to make sure MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries meets our internal goal of creating the best MechWarrior game possible,” said Russ Bullock, executive producer. “Since we announced the development of the first single-player MechWarrior game in 17 years, we have stated that our goal was to deliver to fans a MechWarrior: Mercenaries experience with true freedom of choice and to be able to share that experience in a coop setting.

Understandably some fans will be disappointed that they have to wait a short while longer for MechWarrior 5, but it’s important to Piranha Games that we absolutely get this right. We are happy to say that our new partnership with Epic Games store allows us the time and ability to accomplish our goals both in the games development and marketing efforts.”

Fans looking to obtain refunds from their preorder of any tier are able to do so by September 1st. Preorder refunds of any tier will be refunded in full. Additionally, fans seeking refunds will be able to keep all bonus MechWarrior Online content from the Standard, Collector and Ultimate Editions of the preorder, which amount to $100, $180, and $300 dollars worth of in-game currency and content for MechWarrior Online including all bonus items like XP, premium time, badges, decals, cockpit items and more, depending on which preorder tier they purchased. Refunded preorders will be unable to participate in the upcoming closed beta for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, now scheduled for November as well as lose the exclusive MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries DLC items.

Piranha Games will host two Town Hall sessions this week: The first begins tonight at 6:00 p.m. PT for fans located in North America, and the second Town Hall is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT tomorrow, July 26th, for fans located in Europe. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is modeled after the gameplay style from MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries, granting players the freedom to run their campaigns how they choose. In MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, pilots will build, manage, and guide their own mercenary unit through a multi-year campaign during the sprawling Third and Fourth Succession Wars enjoying by far the greatest amount of player freedom and choice compared to past titles.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space Announced for Halloween Horror Nights

(July 25, 2019) – Metro Goldwyn Mayer’s (MGM) “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” lands at this year’s “Halloween Horror Nights” in all-new chilling mazes at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort – bringing together the most twisted scenes and ghastly gags from the popular horror sci-fi film at the nation’s premier Halloween events.

Based on the cult 1980s film favorite, the “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” mazes will transport guests to the sleepy small town of Crescent Cove, taken over by a pack of murderous clown-like creatures. Guests will be lured by the sweet smell of cotton candy and ice-cream and find themselves in an otherworldly circus tent where they’ll come face-to-face with the crazed klowns and their sinister, side-splitting antics. As they make their way through the Big Top Space Ship, guests will witness diabolical klowns making cotton candy cocoons from unsuspecting victims and will realize the joke’s on them as they are next to become the gooey snack. From one shrieking klown to the next, the mazes will lead guests through the doomed community of Crescent Cove to an eerie amusement park closed for the season. Trapped in a terrifying funhouse full of killer klowns, guests will be left screaming as there’s no stopping this twisted three-ring circus.

Universal Studios’ “Halloween Horror Nights” is the ultimate Halloween event. For more than 25 years, guests from around the world have visited “Halloween Horror Nights” to become victims inside their own horror film. (Las Vegas, NV. . . July 20, 2019) Star Trek fans from around the world will be beamed to Las Vegas on July 31 – August 4 for the galaxy’s largest annual Official Star Trek Convention. Organizers anticipate that over 15,000 attendees will convene at this decade-long Las Vegas tradition at The Rio Suites Hotel.

This Official Star Trek Convention will be highlighted by special presentations including:

For cosplayers, Saturday is the day!  The Costume Competition with celebrity judges, special on-stage costume panels, the annual Costume Parade throughout the convention, and a number of cosplayer meet ups are all scheduled. Garak’s Tailor and Repair will be returning to handle any emergency costume repairs for free throughout the weekend.

Attendees can walk down the “Creation Promenade” and purchase photos in front of maximum-sized backdrops including The Original Series Transporter Pad and the Agonizer Booth from Star Trek: Discovery. They can also take photos and selfies in front of The Borg Regeneration Chambers.

Located just off the Promenade, the Jean-Luc Picard: The First Duty exhibition will showcase original props, costumes and other artifacts tracing Picard’s life and Starfleet career. Items on display include his cherished Ressikan flute, the legendary Picard family album, his Starfleet uniforms, models of the ships Picard captained and all that remains of the “Borg Queen.” The gallery will also feature exclusive first looks at costumes and other items featured in Star Trek: Picard.

Attendees will want to take a tour through the Roddenberry archive, in VR Nexus, courtesy of Sansar, as well as sign up to attend virtual meet and greets with Star Trek celebrities during the convention in the Tropical Room.

In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right.
