BALTIMORE, MD – Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 – Stoic, an independent game development company, and Versus Evil, one of the leading independent video game publishers, today announced the release of an exciting new game mode for Banner Saga 2 owners – ‘Survival Mode’. Throwing down the ultimate challenge in turn based, combat battle tactics, Survival Mode pushes players to the limit as they try to survive 40 back to back combat levels.
“Survival Mode is something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while now,” commented John Watson, Technical Director at Stoic. “This is an entirely new experience within Banner Saga 2. Our goal was to create a fun, tactical game mode where fans can play from a different perspective which focuses on strategy and the hard cost of death in combat. We modified how the combat worked from the core game based on feedback from our community and put it through a closed beta to make sure that it was fun. Thanks again to our dedicated fans for their continued support.” he added.
In survival mode players have to assemble a ‘combat’ team from a wide range of existing Banner Saga heroes. Once their team is complete, combat begins, but beware, perma-death in battle is real and once lost, a hero can not be brought back. Each victory grants ‘Renown’ (one of the major currencies in the Banner Saga), which can be used to unlock more Heroes to replace ones that have fallen. Items now drop in combat, or can be purchased with Renown, so that you can constantly improve your combat team. A 30-second timer keeps the action moving and leaderboards track how each player ranks against others. All three difficulty levels are included in survival mode, so the hard core challenge is available to those who think they can make it all the way through.
“Although Stoic is a tiny indie studio and their time is precious, they have shown an unrelenting commitment to fans of the Banner Saga by producing more content for them to enjoy. ” said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil. ”The Banner Saga 2 just became a much bigger game with the core experience already lauded as one of 2016’s best games and now this new, free game mode included. We hope to get this update in the console launch later this Summer as well as make it a part of our mobile experience.” he concluded.
The FREE Survival Mode is available now for Banner Saga 2 owners (on PC and Mac). Banner Saga 2 is also currently available to buy on Steam, GOG, Humble Store, GreenMan Gaming, EA’s Origin and other digital PC and Mac stores.
The Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 which launched to much critical acclaim has received several awards and nominations, including winner of the 2014Geekie Awards for “Best Video Game”, winner of 2014 Game Developers Choice: “Best Debut” award, finalist placement for “Excellence in Visual Arts” category at the Independent Game Festival, 3 BAFTA Award Nominations, and winner of Pocket Gamer’s 2015 Best Adventure/RPG Game and Best Android Game of the Year. Banner Saga 2 is out now on PC/Mac and will be coming to consoles on July 26th 2016 and mobile devices later this summer.

June 23rd, Łódź, Poland. — It’s been just over a year since Out of Reach, an open-world MMO survival game from the Polish Space Boat Studios, debuted on Steam Early Access. Within that time the game has received 30 updates, over 1,000 user reviews (the majority of which are mostly positive), and countless “let’s play” videos on YouTube. The developers have managed to build a solid and constantly growing community that not only clearly enjoys playing the role of a castaway trying to survive on a desert island, but that is also helping to build the game by translating it into many languages, testing new features, and suggesting changes.
Not to disappoint the dedicated fan base, which just recently awarded the developers the Digital Dragons Indie Showcase Community Award, the team continues to listen to gamers’ feedback and is developing the game around it to make sure the final version of Out of Reach will meet all their expectations. To showcase everything that has been done with the game in the past year, Space Boat Studios has just released a brand new gameplay trailer that you can watch HERE.
Out of Reach is currently available on Steam Early Access (http://store.steampowered.
Those who say that a combination of thunder storms and sea rocks is the worst thing that can happen to sailors clearly haven’t had to deal with any of that. The real deal starts the morning after, when one wakes up on the beach wounded, wet, and hungry with no tools, shelter, or clothes. All that is left is an unfriendly environment, wild animals, and the will to survive – Anonymous Sailor.
Out of Reach is an open-world MMORPG focused on survival, exploration, and crafting. You’ll begin your journey as a castaway on one of the archipelago’s islands with worn-out shorts and sand in your mouth. What happens next is totally up to you. You can decide to stay, build a home, and make nature your servant, or try to escape by boat to other, more friendly islands with different weather and environmental conditions. Whatever you do, be aware that in order to survive in the wild, you’ll need to explore the plains, deserts, caves, and rainforests looking for food, shelter, and fire. More than once you’ll be forced to face wild animals as well as the islands’ inhabitants, who will not always be friendly.
OUT OF REACH’S MAIN FEATURES

June 23, 2016 — Nothing quite shocks the senses like the chilly winds and intense air-battles of 1940s southeast Asia. Today’s summery FTSOC Steam update not only improves multiplayer features, but also retrofits cockpit view/support, starting with a functional inside rendition of the RAF’s tropical Spitfire Mk. V. Furthermore, a pair of new fighters have been made available namely the Allied P-47D “Thunderbolt” and the Japanese Ki-44 Shoki “Toji”, each with a decent selection of skins and over-the-radio voice shouts in American, Chinese, Russian and Japanese languages.
Game Website: AirCombatAction.com
