Burlingame, CA. – March 6, 2013 – Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, today revealed that their upcoming combat mech title, Carnage Heart EXA, has gone gold and will be launching on the PlayStation Network shortly. Carnage Heart EXA will be released for the PlayStation Portable and Vita via PSN on March 19th!

“We’ve still got a couple surprises in store for our fans before Carnage Heart’s release next month,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. “These plans include an exciting website where the developers and players can share their creations and battle prowess.”

Carnage Heart EXA is divided into two modes when playing: Plot sections, which advance the game’s story and give players insight into the characters, and Briefing sections, where goals are established and enemies fought.

Mixing high levels of customization via programming with a hardcore strategy RPG system, the game also allows players to save their battles as movie files, which they can then share over the Internet.  Natsume has already shown off several Carnage Heart EXA videos on YouTube.  Players can choose their mech’s hardware, including items like weapons, armor thickness, and plenty more.  Program your robo-battler’s software, change its coloring, add an emblem, and give it a unique name.  Don’t forget to snap a screenshot so you can share your creation with fellow bot builders!  Check out Natsume’s full Overkill Engine (OKE) programming tutorial on the Natsume Facebook located here.
