White Wolf and CCP Games have announced a year-long celebration of RPG Vampire: The Masquerade’s 20th anniversary, which will culminate in the release of a special edition sourcebook and mass gathering of fans in New Orleans. However, before any of that actually happens, it looks as though you will have to choose whether or not to pre-order this limited edition, $99 dollar book! According to official info (see below), the book will be available for pre-order until July 8th! After that, you will have to fight for them when they come out this October.

CCP Games | White Wolf is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Vampire: The Masquerade with an extremely special edition of the role-playing game’s rulebook — Vampire: The Masquerade – 20th Anniversary Edition.  The special edition is a limited run and will ONLY be made available to pre-order before July 8, 2011 at 5pm EST for $99.99.

The Vampire: The Masquerade – 20th Anniversary Edition release coincides with The Grand Masquerade 2011, a gala fan convention that blends together glamour and style with the historic intimacy of the world’s most iconic vampire epicenter, New Orleans French Quarter, September 15-18.  Events will include elaborate live action games, table top RPGs, the Vampire: the Eternal Struggle US Championship, special guests, lavish parties and the next look at the future of the World of Darkness MMO.

Additionally, customers who advance purchase a copy of Vampire: The Masquerade – 20th Anniversary Edition and attend The Grand Masquerade will have an exclusive cover treatment only available to Grand Masquerade attendees.

Vampire: The Masquerade – 20th Anniversary Edition will feature:

  • All thirteen original clans, clan variants and bloodlines, with their signature Disciplines
  • Rules for character creation and advancement from Neonate to Methuselah
  • All the Disciplines from level one through nine
  • Updated setting to the modern nights
  • New full color original art by Tim Bradstreet and other classic Masquerade artists
