April 18, 2017 – The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will introduce a powerful new class to ESO on June 6 – the nature-based Warden – and we’re excited to showcase the class’ unique abilities in the new gameplay trailer and screenshots below.
Revealing themselves to the world for the first time, Wardens possess a wide assortment of abilities to help defend the wilds and people of Tamriel. With the versatility to act as a damage dealer, a healer, or protector (or any combination in between) the Warden’s powerful and unique nature-based magic brings an entirely new element to ESO. The Warden can be fully customized based on your choices and your playstyle — summon the fearsome War Bear, encase yourself in rock-solid ice, or conjure healing plants from the soil.

February 6, 2017 – Today PC/Mac players of The Elder Scrolls Online receive the first major DLC of 2017 – Homestead – a free update that will allow them to buy apartments, homes, manors – and even an island – in Tamriel. Available for both in-game Gold and through the Crown Store, homes can be customized with more than 2,000 decorating items, including furniture, décor, books, barrels and a whole lot more.
Homestead will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 21.
Tons of Homes!
Homestead releases with nearly 40 instanced homes to choose from, each styled after one of the game’s 10 playable races. Anyone who would like to grab their own Tamriel digs can get one for free through an initial tutorial quest. Once that introductory quest is completed, players can move on and up, owning multiple homes of various sizes that can be shared across all of their in-game characters.
Not Your Friend’s House
Owning a house is only the beginning of Homestead – it’s not truly a home until you decorate it. Players can make their new residences truly unique by acquiring and placing more than 2,000 items with the game’s new Housing Editor. Furniture and other décor are available through in-game vendors and the Crown Store, but players can also craft their own using existing crafting skills. Available décor includes tables, chairs, chests, beds, bars, counters as well as decorating items like books, food, barrels, paintings, light fixtures, plants, trees, and more. Looking for more utility? Players can also place items like combat dummies, crafting tables and assistants in their homes.

Haven’t played ESO in a while? The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a great chance to jump back in with your existing characters, or with a completely new one. Because ESO has no required subscription, you can just reinstall the game, log in, and start playing again.
RETURN TO MORROWIND
Vvardenfell is the largest zone added to The Elder Scrolls Online since launch and utilizes the same geographic footprint as The Elder Scrolls III, including all key points of interest from the classic game. Players will embark on a dangerous journey through legendary locales in Vvardenfell, 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls III, from the docks of Seyda Neen, to the volcanic Ashlands, to dense, mushroom-filled forests, and through the glory of Vivec City, still under construction in this time period.
NEW CLASS – THE WARDEN
Players will harness nature-based magic to master the powerful new character class – The Warden. The Warden is the first new class since launch of ESO and true to ESO and the Elder Scrolls franchise, the player will have the freedom to select from a number of abilities that enable a variety of play styles. The Warden also introduces a devastating new combat ally – the War Bear – a ferocious fighter will stay by the Warden’s side through the most intense battles.
AN INCREDIBLE ELDER SCROLLS STORY
Set roughly 700 years prior to the events of The Elder Scrolls III, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will take gamers on a sweeping adventure through the legendary Vvardenfell, featuring iconic locations, characters, and storylines that will instill nostalgia with longtime Elder Scrolls fans and extend ESO’s narrative into a new chapter. Morrowind is in dire peril and it’s up to player heroes to help Vivec, the legendary warrior-poet and Guardian of Vvardenfell, solve the mystery of his mysterious illness, regain his strength – and save the world from ultimate destruction.
NEW PvP MODE — BATTLEGROUNDS
The Elder Scrolls Online is renowned for open world PvP battles, pitting hundreds of players in a massive battle for supremacy in Cyrodiil. The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will introduce a new PvP mode – Battlegrounds – intense 4v4v4 battles in arena-like environments. Players take the battle to the Ashlands to claim their place among the fiercest and most accomplished combat veterans in Tamriel.

September 8, 2016 – Last night at the Sony PlayStation®4 Pro announcement event in New York City, it was revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online will be one of the first games to support the new Sony PlayStation 4 Pro at launch via free game update. We were excited to participate in the event and show off The Elder Scrolls Online running live in the arcade area in beautiful native 4K.
Today we’re releasing a gameplay trailer, showcasing The Elder Scrolls Online running in 4K on a Sony PlayStation 4 Pro. Please find the link to that trailer below.
When the PlayStation 4 Pro launches in November, The Elder Scrolls Online will be immediately playable in native 4K resolution, whether purchased new, or with existing game discs. Since the game was originally designed for a wide range of PC specifications, ZeniMax Online Studios was able to scale up the presentation alongside the scaled up power of the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro. For players, this means that if you play The Elder Scrolls Online on PlayStation 4 Pro with a 1080p HD television, you will experience increased graphical fidelity; if a player uses a 4K monitor, the game will automatically run in 4K.
April 25, 2016 – Today we released additional details for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited’s upcoming DLC game pack, Dark Brotherhood.
Dark Brotherhood will launch on May 31st for PC/Mac and June 14th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Dark Brotherhood is included with an active ESO Plus membership or will be available for 2,000 crowns via the ESO Crown Store.
With the return of the Dark Brotherhood, no one in Tamriel is safe. In Dark Brotherhood, the latest DLC game pack for the award-winning The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, join the infamous guild of assassins and return to the Gold Coast, a zone not seen since TES:IV Oblivion. Become the deadliest assassin with a new and exclusive passive skill-line, defend the Brotherhood against a mysterious foe in hours of new story content, prove your skill for homicide in new repeatable assassination quests, and more! Dripping with new content, one thing is certain in Dark Brotherhood: blood will flow.
PC Players can experience Dark Brotherhood prior to release on the ESO PTS (Public Test Server) beginning today.
Additional DLC Details:
A Covenant of Blood and Shadows
Join the merciless Dark Brotherhood of the Gold Coast, prowling in the shadows cast by the two great powers of the region. Though at the height of their power, the Dark Brotherhood faces a grave threat in the form of a mysterious black-armored warrior capable of bringing down their best agents. Venture forth for another exciting chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online as you carve a bloody swath across Tamriel in the name of the Dark Brotherhood!
Explore the Gold Coast
The westernmost region of Cyrodiil, the Gold Coast, was last seen by Elder Scrolls players in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Come explore the cities of Anvil and Kvatch during the Interregnum, when the region is awash in intrigue and deadly conspiracies!
Murder for Profit
Sometimes the best way to deal with a troublesome person is permanent removal. As a Dark Brotherhood assassin, you’ll be tasked to fill that need. From simple assassination contracts to killing sprees on the blood-soaked streets of Tamriel’s sprawling cities, carve your path into the good graces of the Dark Brotherhood. The truly skilled may engage in special missions at the behest of their dark masters and fulfill a Black Sacrament, slaying a victim named by the Night Mother herself.
New Assassins’ Passive Skills
This all-new skill line relates to murdering citizens and allowing the Shadows of Sithis to protect you from suffering consequences. Because those deaths were sanctioned by Sithis, you are the hand of the Void; you are the embodiment of death itself. The rules of Justice are for those bound by Nirn, not those who are directed by the ideals of Sithis.
Dark Brotherhood-Exclusive Rewards and Items Earn new items through in-game quests and browse Dark Brotherhood-themed items coming to the Crown Store soon.

May 8, 2014 — We’ve been grateful to our fans for the wonderful response to our recent launch of The Elder Scrolls Online for PC/Mac, but we know many of you are eagerly waiting to play the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
We continue to work on the console versions of ESO, and game development has been progressing steadily, but we are still working to solve a series of unique problems specific to those platforms. Integrating our systems with each console manufacturer’s networks — which are both different from the PC/Mac system as well as different from each other—has been a challenging process. It has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn’t going to be possible. Though we have made great progress, we have concluded that we’ll need about six months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve.
We know that the news of an ESO console delay is as disappointing to many of you as it is to us. We want to do what we can to make it up to our fans who want to start playing now, so we have worked out the following arrangement with Sony and Microsoft:
Via a special offer, anyone who purchases and plays the PC/Mac version of The Elder Scrolls Online by the end of June will have the opportunity to transfer their character(s) to either console version when they are released. The offer will allow you to begin playing immediately on the PC/Mac, and then add the PS4 or Xbox One version and transfer the character(s) you have created and developed. And, you don’t have to pay full price for the game twice. For $20, eligible PC and Mac players will have the option to add a full, digital version of ESO on either the PS4 or the Xbox One with your character transfer(s), and another 30 days of included game time.
Whether you decide to take advantage of this offer or not, we promise to do everything we can to get the game released on both consoles as quickly as we can. We will keep everyone updated with additional details regarding character transfers, specific offer dates, when you can expect console beta to start, and of course, when ESO on consoles will launch.
April 7th, 2014 — We’ve revealed the first piece of post-launch content – Craglorn – for The Elder Scrolls Online! Check out the recently posted video that highlights all the new content offered in this expansive Adventure Zone. Craglorn, which will be made available to all ESO subscribers later this month, will feature an intriguing new storyline and challenging gameplay designed especially for Veteran groups – from four-player quests up to new 12-player trials.
