The Alters Official Release Date Trailer

What if survival meant facing the versions of yourself you never became? The version of you who chose family over going to college? The version of you who chased down your high school sweetheart and made her your wife or the version of you who lost her? In The Alters, the upcoming sci-fi game from 11 bit studios (makers of This War of Mine and Frostpunk), where survival has never been so personal, the path to salvation begins with a question as old as humanity: What if I had chosen differently?

Revealed today as part of the 2025 Triple-I Initiative, 11 bit studios announced that The Alters will launch on June 13, 2025, arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and day one on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Stranded on a hostile planet and racing against a deadly sunrise, Jan Dolski’s only chance of survival is to create “alters”—alternate versions of himself shaped by roads not taken. Each Jan comes with unique skills, personalities, and memories tied to a different life choice. But they also come with conflict, doubt, and emotional baggage.

Managing the mission means managing yourself—literally. Players must maintain a mobile base, make time-critical decisions, build relationships with their Alters, and confront the consequences of their own past lives.

And as a new element the trailer leans into, The Alters reveals the hardships of exploring the planet’s unique biomes, where deadly anomalies stand in your way. Levitating rocks and eerie distortions of reality catch your attention immediately, while other singularities remain invisible to the naked eye and require special tools to uncover. In every case, without a careful approach, you risk instant death, radiation-induced injuries, or even the disintegration of time and space itself. And you may want to avoid exploring at night, as the heightened radioactivity can eat right through your suit. These dangers add yet another layer to the survival experience, turning every expedition into a high-stakes puzzle.

Blending survival, base-building, exploration, and emotional storytelling, The Alters is a deeply personal sci-fi experience where every decision matters—and every version of you has something to say about it.

The game is set to launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

No More Room in Hell 2 REANIMATION Update Launch Date Revealed

Torn Banner Studios, the hit developer behind Chivalry 2, today announced that its next major update, REANIMATION, will arrive on April 15 for the eight-player, co-op horror shooter No More Room in Hell 2. A Free Weekend will also run April 17-21 on Steam. REANIMATION will be the most robust update since launch and will feature not one, but two new maps – a surprise for players that the size of the game which only launched with the original Power Plant map. Also coming in this update is a new radial inventory, a revamped combat system, a character roster and a host of other big items and impactful bug fixes across the entire game.

Pottsville, the first new map since launch, is a brooding suburban small town inspired by classic zombie movie settings, offering claustrophobic encounters with the undead at dawn. Smaller and more densely packed than the expansive rural map Power Plant, Pottsville features foggy alleyways, neighborhood houses and downtown buildings, creating a tense mix of suburbia and city environments. Players will navigate these areas as they uncover intel, head downtown to retrieve critical scientific research and extract from the rooftop under pressure. Alongside Pottsville, the new map Lewiston introduces a panicked city where responders must protect survivors and secure an escape. As the sun sets, responders must act fast to protect survivors and secure a way out. With one of two random evacuation routes, train or boat, players have to gather what they need quickly as survival is the only thing that matters.

The new radial inventory harkens back to the first No More Room in Hell, allowing players to move their mouse into quadrants of their screen to quickly select between inventory items. Now, new to No More Room in Hell 2’s inventory, there will be a weight system for items players pick up. The earlier inventory in the game was not weight-based but simply had a limited number of slots, regardless of the weight of things players were carrying. This new system will create a more fast-paced inventory experience while also forcing players to make more strategic decisions about what items they collect and use.

Combat also gets a major upgrade with the introduction of Combat 2.0. This revamped system is designed to make player interactions with zombies more dynamic and immersive. With improved mechanics for both ranged and melee combat, players can now slice off zombie limbs with left-to-right or right-to-left attacks, repeat input for a stronger attack, charge up for a heavier blow or kick zombies back to create breathing room even though it comes at a stamina cost. Combat 2.0 promises smoother, more intuitive controls that will help elevate the tension and excitement of every encounter.

REANIMATION will also introduce a character roster that allows players to manage multiple permadeath characters at once. On the character tab, players will now have three character slots. If players prefer to leave a level 50 veteran back at base while they venture forth with a lower level responder, that is now an option. And with a new character re-roll option, players can spend in-game credits earned from matches to swap out their three character choices for a fresh set offering more flexibility and control over your squad. Torn Banner Studios plans to continue iterating on the character roster beyond this update.

The game makes its terrifyingly exciting Steam debut after reaching 50th most wishlisted game on the platform, with content updates planned every four to six weeks throughout Early Access.

Walton, Texas, 1980. Dealing with the sweltering summer heat isn’t easy. When a zombie outbreak erupts in the city, survival takes precedence over staying cool. With each passing day, the undead’s numbers increase, law and order slip away, and Walton’s remaining survivors must do everything possible to stay alive.

Lead a band of survivors driven by desperation and dwindling resources to survive the citywide nightmare and find a way out to safety. Upgrade shelters, seek allies, and sneak past hordes of horrors to find tools, food, and weapons – all while accepting that there’s not enough, there won’t be enough, and good neighbors are in short supply. Not all survivors are willing to negotiate, cooperate, or share.

Experience a thrilling survival experience blending horror with shelter management as survivors scavenge locations, choose whether to fight or avoid both zombie and human enemies, and investigate tenuous and dangerous escape plans. Overcome dynamic events that can lead to either catastrophe or salvation while balancing the needs of survivors against the backdrop of a deadly world. ASTROBOTANICA Kickstarter Launches with New Gameplay Trailer

Space Goblin Studio is thrilled to announce the Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming survival game ASTROBOTANICA is now live. Any keen gamer wanting to put their hands on the game ahead of release—slated for this Winter—is invited to support the project via the campaign. If funded, closed Alpha access will be granted to backers during the Summer. With a modest funding goal of £25,000 ($32,000), the campaign invites players to help bring this unique, botany-driven sci-fi survival adventure to life, and shape its future development by connecting directly with the development team.

To celebrate the launch of the campaign, and give the community a taste of what ASTROBOTANICA has in store, the team has also released a gameplay trailer, offering a fresh look at the game’s core design pillars: prehistoric botany, exploration and crafting, and connecting with Neanderthal tribes that inhabited Earth 300,000 years ago.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch this Kickstarter and—as promised—bring players into the development process,” said Arkadiusz Woźniak, Game Director of ASTROBOTANICA. “This crowdfunding campaign is all about sowing seeds of love for survival games, cultivating a potentially interesting project with the support of our community, and ultimately reaping what we hope will become a game everybody wants to play.”

ASTROBOTANICA is built on the foundation of core survival games but offers a more relaxed experience. While managing key resources is essential to the survival of your extraterrestrial protagonist, Xel, the game won’t rely on existential dread to hook players in. Instead, it will reward gamers for exploring, solving puzzles, experimenting, and collaborating with Primal Humans.

With Kickstarter backer support, the development team hopes to accelerate work, expand on core gameplay systems, introduce new environments, and refine mechanics with direct involvement of the community. Depending on the selected pledges, backers will receive access to a Closed Alpha this summer, and can opt for various Kickstarter-only add-ons such as their name in the credits, founders packs with exclusive items, digital copies of ASTROBOTANICA upon release, and even the opportunity to co-design in-game assets and locations. Regardless of pledge level, all gamers are also invited to connect with the Studio via forums and social accounts, to help shape the game ahead of its release this coming winter.

Additionally, Space Goblin has planned exciting stretch goals that will expand the scope of the game if funded beyond the initial goal, including:

  • New game mechanics such as fishing, swimming, using electricity, and combat.
  • Multiple biomes showcasing a greater variety of ecosystems.
  • New flora and fauna for players to scan, cultivate, and use in survival and research efforts.
  • Additional explorable locations filled with new mysteries to uncover.
