VAMPYR 55 Minutes of Gameplay

May 24, 2018 – Vampyr, the narrative-driven action-RPG from DONTNOD Entertainment, releases June 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Today, watch almost one hour of new gameplay footage taken from last week’s developer stream, as the developers discuss the game and answer questions direct from the community.

This gameplay, taken from around six hours into the story, shows off several of the deep systems that make up Vampyr’s citizen and district ecosystems. Players are free to kill (or spare) any and all of London’s citizens, using their blood to evolve deadly new powers. Protagonist Jonathan Reid is also a doctor, and can therefore choose to heal these same inhabitants by conducting examinations and crafting specific medicines. Curing illnesses improves the quality of life for each citizen and the district as a whole – but for players that only care about growing stronger, it also means their blood offers a larger, tastier boost in power!

Balancing the overall health of citizens with who you choose to kill is vital for players who want to keep districts from being lost. Each of the four main districts have their own health status gauge, which is affected by the number of dead, sick and healthy citizens in that area. As the gauge drops lower, shop prices will increase, citizens are more likely to get sick, and life there generally deteriorates. If the status drops below critical condition, then the entire district will be lost forever! This means all shops, citizen side quests and regular inhabitants in that district are permanently gone, taken over by deadly enemies. If this happens, it doesn’t mean game over! A player who loses all four districts can still complete Vampyr’s main story – though their recklessness will reward them with the ending they deserve.

Stay tuned for more live Vampyr gameplay, with another dev stream on June 4!

Agony to Feature Roguelite Survival Mode

WALNUT CREEK, CA – May 23, 2018 – Madmind Studio has revealed more information about a new survival-oriented mode for the highly-anticipated horror game Agony launching May 29th for PlayStation®4, Xbox One  and PC.

Agony Mode will grant players only one life as they explore procedurally generated, labyrinth-like chambers. These unpredictable mazes made of ice and walls of bone will encourage players to complete quests such as collecting 10 figurines spread throughout a level. Each Agony Mode session ends once a player is killed, and their score will be compared to the success of sinners worldwide via global leaderboards.

Once a labyrinth’s quest objectives are completed and players reach the mysterious Red Chamber, they can earn additional points by braving new stages or returning to a cleared maze to play as one of Agony’s notorious prowling Succubi. Agony Mode is the ultimate test of survival skills players formed while playing through the game’s core campaign, providing the perfect stage for players to showcase everything they’ve learned from pursuing the elusive Red Goddess.

Earthfall Release Date Announced

May 23, 2018 – Seattle-area developer Holospark announced today that they will release their multiplayer cooperative team-shooter, Earthfall, on July 13 digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam, with Gearbox Publishing distributing the game in physical boxed retail. Earthfall has players working together to fend off an alien invasion of the Pacific Northwest – using squad-tactics, portable heavy weaponry, “instant” walls, and more tools as they avoid swarms of horrific intergalactic invaders.

Earthfall will be available on July 13, 2018 for $29.99 USD, with a special Deluxe Edition also available for $39.99 USD, which will include exclusive character biohazard suits and weapon skins.

“We are excited to bring Earthfall to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 13. By partnering with Gearbox Publishing on a physical release, even more fans will be able to get their hands on Earthfall on launch day,” said Russell Williams, CEO of Holospark. “We’ve been hard at work on Earthfall since it first launched in Early Access last year, and we’re really proud of what the game has become. Our thanks to everyone that played Earthfall and shared their feedback, whether that was on Steam or in-person. You’ve helped make the game what is it today.”

“Once we got our hands on Earthfall, we couldn’t stop playing it! It’s the modern co-op horde shooter we’ve been missing for so long,” said Brad Schliesser, director of sales at Gearbox. “We knew Earthfall was the perfect addition to our growing publishing efforts at Gearbox.”

“We are excited to be working with Holospark’s talented group of veteran developers to bring the amazing co-op experience of Earthfall to retail this summer,” added Steve Gibson, head of Gearbox Publishing.

In Earthfall, aliens have invaded the Pacific Northwest – and it’s up to you and your friends to fight back! In this co-operative shooter for up to four, players must use team-based tactics to fortify holdouts and complete mission objectives. With an arsenal of 3D-printed weaponry, portable barricades and heavy turrets, players must work together to drive back the alien menace.

Earthfall will feature ten missions across two campaigns, with diverse environments and deadly aliens to battle. As players fight waves of drones and towering monsters, they’ll discover the story behind the cataclysmic alien invasion – and exactly what horrible secrets the invaders are hiding.

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry Announced

Wiesbaden, May 23, 2018 – He’s back: Leisure Suit Larry will finally be back with his new adventure on PC and Mac starting in Fall 2018 – with questionable pickup lines and good old fashioned Point & Click entertainment.

In his new, completely hand-drawn adventure Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, Larry moves straight from the 80s into the 21st century. In times of #metoo and online dating via smartphone, Larry has to find his way around.

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry is developed by the German studio CrazyBunch from Hamburg and will be released in Fall 2018 for PC and Mac – and can now be pre-ordered on Steam! Pre-orderers can already enjoy a 15% discount on Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry digital soundtrack and an exclusive digital artbook!

Hey ladies, I’m back in business! My new adventure, Leisure Suit Larry – Wet dreams don’t dry, takes me – whatever the route or twist of fate – from the end of the ’80s directly to the 21st Century and wow, how the world has changed! While my view of the world and women from way back in the 1980s collides with modern reality harder than the breasts of a lusciously stacked blonde jogging along a beach, I’m all set to date my way across the modern world!

In a “point & click” adventure I’d call typical for the genre we mutually experience how I fall head-over-heels in love with Faith, the hot-to-trot assistant to the boss at Prune, a technology enterprise successful worldwide. Since even dating is done digitally nowadays, the first thing I have to do is to work on my score at Timber, the totally hip, can’t-get-anywhere-without-it dating app where I date women, satisfy their needs, and accordingly pick up points for my Timber profile. And whenever I get a chance in between, always briefly check out a few new bikini pix at Instacrap – the 21st century is gnarly smill!

Features:

  • Leisure Suit Larry is coming in the 21st century – and no, there’s no word missing here
  • Explore a lovingly designed, non-linear game world set in modern times with over 30 handdrawn venues
  • Use “Timber”, the ingame app, along with an innovative dating mechanism to date women, consequently improve your score at Timber, and ultimately clear the way to get to Faith, the women of your dreams
  • Solve true-blue puzzles and interact with over 30 handdrawn characters

Dauntless Intro Cinematic Released

May 22, 2018 – Phoenix Labs today unveiled the opening cinematic video for their free-to-play co-op action RPG, Dauntless, ahead of its official Open Beta launch this week.

The opening cinematic will launch in-game alongside the Open Beta on Thursday, May 24 and will introduce players to their story and the world of the Shattered Isles. Dauntless is a fresh take on the online co-op action RPG genre. Players take on the mantle of Slayers, brave warriors who fight ferocious beasts known as Behemoths threatening our survival. To overcome the odds, Slayers bring their hard-earned spoils to the city of Ramsgate between hunts to craft, enhance and customize their arsenal to take on the next challenging encounter. H1Z1: Battle Royale Open Beta Launch Trailer

SAN DIEGO – May 22, 2018 –  Daybreak Games® today announced that H1Z1®: Battle Royale, the original standalone battle royale game, is now available for free on PlayStation® 4. The battle royale shooter is currently in Open Beta with a full release scheduled for later this year. Watch the new trailer here:

H1Z1 has been redesigned specifically for PlayStation 4 players, with a larger weapon arsenal — six new weapons — and fully reworked UI among the new features. Matches are fast and frantic. The encroaching ring of toxic gas moves quickly while the new weapon progression system keeps players engaged with frequent, increasingly lucrative airdrops.

“We redesigned H1Z1 on the PlayStation 4 to cater to the action shooter fan. It’s fast-paced, intuitive, and its 15-minute matches make for fun, intense sessions,” said H1Z1 Producer Terrence Yee.  “We received fantastic feedback during Closed Beta and we are excited for all PlayStation 4 players to finally be able to experience the intense action of H1Z1: Battle Royale with this Open Beta release.”

H1Z1’s control system has been overhauled for maximum speed and mayhem on PS4. With a familiar radial weapon menu, players can quickly switch between their two weapons of choice: guns and grenades. The grab-and-go equipment system also makes it easier for players to collect loot on the run.

Airdrops have never been more important in H1Z1. As the primary way to find the best loot, players must strategically decide when to pursue a mass airdrop for higher-powered armor and better weapons. For more cautious players, special crates with similar high-level gear are hidden throughout the map — just listen for the radio chatter and signal beacon that sounds when they are nearby.

H1Z1: Battle Royale PS4 Bundle Packs
Three limited-edition bundles have been created for H1Z1’s PlayStation 4 Open Beta:

  • Starter Bundle ($4.99 USD)
  • Standard Bundle ($19.99 USD)
  • Deluxe Bundle ($49.99 USD)

PlayStation Plus Members receive one free bundle that includes two exclusive Nemesis Crate items –the tactical body armor and explorer backpack.
