Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator Environments Trailer

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator revealed as Urban Venture in March 2022, gets a name overhaul and joins Nacon’s “Life” family. With a hip new name and a reinvigorated trailer displaying cinematic in-game footage of the city of Barcelona, Taxi Life by Simteract is raring to go. Passengers, get in the back seat and admire the view of Barna in this city driving simulator.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator was previously announced as an early access title coming to PC later this year. Thanks to the newly signed partnership with Nacon, Simteract adjusted the development plans to release the game on PC and consoles straight into 1.0 version in 2023, dropping the early access model entirely.

In Taxi Life, players will take on the role of a taxi driver working in the Spanish metropolis. Like in real life, stuff happens: traffic jams, harsh weather, bumpy roads, impatient passengers, and the occasional accident. In this driving simulation game, you take control behind the wheel to fulfill ride-hailing jobs around the city, taking passengers to their final destination safely and on time. What’s more, while managing your own taxi company, you will be responsible for paying your fines and bills, fixing your car, and eventually hiring and managing a crew of professional drivers.

The game’s rebranding and publishing contract couldn’t come at a better time now that Simteract and Nacon are readying to launch Train Life: A Railway Simulator later this month. The arrival of Taxi Life in Nacon’s catalog expands the publisher’s “Life” series, including Hotel Life, Chef Life, and others to come.

The “Life” series invites fans of profession simulators into a universe of fulfilling, stress-free induction on several careers they’d love to explore but never had a chance in the real world. Not only that, but Life games aspire to show the business management aspect of the profession, teaching you how to grow a company through a simplification of the real world.

Nacon’s Head of Marketing, David Talmat, explains taking in Taxi Life as an easy decision, “a great concept we know gamers will love, a great city to explore, and this concept of driving but also managing your company. This is exactly what we look to deliver in Life games.”

“We realized we had an ambitious project at hand and turn to Nacon as we worked very well together on Train Life. Our goal with Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is to show the skills of our talented team, building a representation of Barcelona on a 1:1 scale that truly feels real; a chance for people to get a one-of-a-kind city driving sim experience,” explains Marcin Jaśkiewicz, CEO of Simteract.

Taxi Life is coming to Steam and consoles in 2023. Make sure to wishlist the game on Steam, and join the conversation on Discord, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

The Fridge is Red Release Date Trailer

The Fridge is Red, the first-person horror anthology series with retro-inspired visuals from developer 5WORD Team and publisher tinyBuild, haunts Steam on Thursday, September 27, 2022.

Day in and day out — the same monotonous dread on constant repeat. When Frank’s dead-end job can’t keep up with his ever-growing pile of unpaid bills, he takes up a side gig fixing household appliances for his neighbors. When one client drops off a strange red fridge, Frank finds himself perplexed and unable to fix it. He leaves it in his basement, where it exudes an evil, oddly life-like energy.

Step into Frank’s shoes in different locales twisted by the evil creeping into his life and unravel the mystery of the red fridge. Working in the same office building can feel endless. No meaningful changes, no way out. What can be an everyday, droll location in someone’s life can become a personal hell for another. Explore mundanities gone mad, such as the local church, a holy place of prayer meant to make a person feel safe and cleansed, now a sanctuary violated.

Explore six episodes filled with terrifying locations including abandoned hospital hallways, a frozen remote highway, a dreadful cemetery, and a cursed elevator descending to the true depths of hell. Survive the wrath of spirits, unearthly monsters, and one’s worst nightmares wielding modern gameplay mechanics in an understated lo-fi PlayStation 1 aesthetic.

Shuddering 3D models and pixelated, muted textures weave a delightfully horrific atmosphere. Embrace an era of games where imagination filled in the blanks, accentuating each scare by making them feel personal. An eerie soundtrack and ominous sounds enhance the edge-of-your-seat dread in The Fridge is Red’s panic-inducing environments.

“With all the positive feedback we’ve received from audiences, we are motivated now more than ever to fully realize The Fridge is Red,” said Artem Kudriashov, lead designer, 5WORD Team. “We will continue to polish and finely tune this new entry in the horror genre to bring a new mysterious twist to players looking for a thriller experience.”

The Fridge is Red releases on PC via Steam on September 27, 2022. It will support English, French, German, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Korean, and Simplified Chinese language text.

Cosmic Horror Game The Chant Gets New Trailer

Developer Brass Token and publisher Prime Matter have revealed a new trailer showcasing the dark sides of cultism and a glimpse into the unique spiritual melee combat of The Chant. Experience both in full when The Chant launches on Nov. 3, 2022.

The Chant is set on a remote island, the site of a spiritual retreat. However, when a ritual accidentally opens a rift unleashing occult nightmares upon the island, attendees will face both their darkest fears and a host of cosmic horrors. Today’s trailer reveals a glimpse of the melee combat system players will use to battle off the threatening mind-demons spawned by the other guest’s fears and insecurities.

This spiritual journey is already turning into a nightmare. What will you choose: fight or flight?

About The Chant:

Nothing is as it seems on idyllic and beautiful Glory Island. They say “open your mind to a whole new way of being and be ready to free your inner demons,” but with The Chant you need to be ready to jump headfirst into a not-so-peaceful dimension.

A cult has been performing dark rituals on the island since the 1970s, harnessing the collective energy of prisms to open up a spiritual portal to The Gloom. Their goal is to achieve spiritual enlightenment and be guided on what is meant to be a deep and liberating journey. The truth, however, hides a dark and complex story, one that drags you down a horrifying path as it chaotically unfolds in front of your eyes.

The dark truths discovered by the cult are about to be uncovered. Are you ready to face your inner demons?

The Chant is a cosmic horror action-adventure game developed by Brass Token and published by Prime Matter, launching on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on Nov. 3.

All-New Terror Tram Features Jordan Peele’s Nope and Us

This year’s iconic “Terror Tram” expands to include a cinematic twist on Jordan Peele’s blockbuster films in a crossover experience that reimagines Us, featuring The Tethered, a revolutionary army of vengeful doppelgangers, whose uprising invades the all-new Jupiter’s Claim set from the filmmaker’s latest pop nightmare, Nope, as part of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, which kicks off on Thursday, September 8.

The “Terror Tram” is unique to Universal Studios Hollywood, inviting guests to explore by foot parts of the famous movie studio backlot, home to some of the most notorious movie sets. Once guests disembark the Tram, the terror is unleashed. This year, the villainous Hollywood Harry unravels “Hollywood Harry’s Halloween,” a nightmarish spectacle with a demented cast of characters that winds past the iconic Psycho House then through Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds set.  As guests make their way through a choreographed massacre at the Jupiter’s Claim set from Nope, they will encounter The Tethered from Us in a frightening finale of epic proportions. After the success of the 2019 “Us” house, this experience will feature all-new choreography by conceptual artist and choreographer Madeline Hollander.

The madness continues with thrilling haunted house experiences. The full line-up follows:

  • “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” takes guests into the twisted mind of multi award-winning artist The Weeknd as they step into a surreal living nightmare filled with grotesque characters and themes inspired by his music and short films.
  • “Halloween” ventures back to where it all began in an eerily authentic haunted house that depicts the most chilling moments from the critically-acclaimed original film.
  • “The Horrors of Blumhouse” brings to life Blumhouse’s supernatural thriller The Black Phone and horror-comedy Freaky.
  • “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” expands on the thrilling legacy from Universal Pictures as the most notorious horror icons, The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, come together for the first time ever in an epic battle.
  • MGM’s “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” traps guests in a frightening funhouse of murderous clown-like creatures.
  • “La Llorona: The Weeping Woman” features the legend of La Llorona who comes to life to terrorize the living as she mourns the children she murdered.
  • “Scarecrow: The Reaping” finds that Mother Nature’s retribution against the homesteaders for their sins of the past will be carried out by the farmland’s scarecrows who have remained mute witnesses – and are now guardians of destruction for anyone who crosses their path.
  • “Universal Horror Hotel” lives ups to its reputation as the original owner, who was executed years ago for his dastardly deeds, continues to haunt the place today – and guests must escape his vengeful spirit or risk becoming a permanent resident.
  • Award-winning hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez brings an all-new, high-energy show nightly to this year’s event, featuring their gravity-defying dance moves, special effects and pulse-pounding music.

All-new scare zones will taunt and torment guests as they navigate the darkness from one terrifying house to the next:

  • “El Pueblo del Terror” is an extension of “La Llorona: The Weeping Woman” as the horror continues once guests exit the haunted house and discover there is no escaping the frightening legend along with other supernatural characters from Latin America’s most frightening myths.
  • “Sideshow Slaughterhouse” turns New York Street into a battle zone as the performers and workers from a seedy carnival sideshow are on a murderous rampage.
  • “Clownsawz” features a demonic troop of clowns who band together to terrorize guests with chainsaws as they enter the park.

Guests also can revel at select theme park attractions open during the run of event, including “Jurassic World—The Ride,” “Transformers™: The Ride-3D,” “Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride” and “The Simpsons Ride™.”

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” will also be open during Halloween Horror Nights, inviting guests to experience some of their favorite attractions, including “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” and “Flight of the Hippogriff™.” For the first time ever, Death Eaters™, a group of Voldemort’s most devoted followers, will roam Hogsmeade™ village, looking to find others willing to show loyalty to the Dark Lord’s cause.

Halloween Horror Nights tickets can be purchased online or at the Universal Studios Hollywood front gate, providing guests with Early Event Admission to select houses, beginning at 6pm each night of the event (subject to change). Train Sim World 3 First Dev Diary Talks Freedom

Dovetail Games, developer and publisher of authentic simulation titles, today released their first development diary video for Train Sim World 3, coming to PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on Sept. 6. This is the first of three videos focused on three topics core to Train Sim World 3: Freedom, power, and weather.

Freedom forms an important part of what sets Train Sim World 3 apart from previous releases. At the heart of this is the new Training Center where players can get to grips with the locomotive controls through a series of tutorials, and experienced players can experiment in a sandbox fashion. The Training Center area, effectively a whole new route, is inspired by a real-world test track in Germany with an area to explore at will in the cab of any of the game’s locomotives.

Training Center marks the beginning of an area of development in Train Sim World 3 that will ultimately ensure that future locomotive add-ons are not pinned to set routes, as they were in previous releases. In addition, all tutorials, regardless of where they are set, will be accessed through the Training Center interface giving players an easy place to navigate when learning the different modes of operation.

Outside of Training Center, players of Train Sim World 2 will be able to continue enjoying any previously purchased routes* in addition to the three routes new to Train Sim World 3: Kassel-Würzburg, Cajon Pass and the extended Southeastern Highspeed route.

Those purchasing Train Sim World 3: Deluxe Edition will also have the freedom of choosing steam, diesel or electric locomotives, with the addition of an upgraded version of the popular Spirit of Steam add-on.

Developed and published by Dovetail Games, Train Sim World 3 will release for Windows PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles on Sept. 6, 2022. The title is available for pre-purchase digitally now on Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation®Store, and Microsoft Store with a Deluxe Edition available for £49.99/€59.99/$59.99 and four ‘Starter Packs’ each available for £29.99/€35.99/$39.99. The ‘Deluxe Edition’ can be pre-ordered with a 10% discount and all pre-order purchases will grant a 4-day Early Access pass to the game, as well as a bonus decal pack to use within the livery editor to share on Creators Club, the home of player customization in Train Sim World.

For more information about Train Sim World 3 fans can visit www.trainsimworld.com, and follow along on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, Discord, YouTube, and Twitch.

*Routes and locomotives from Train Sim World 2, whilst compatible with Train Sim World 3, will not include the new features.

In addition, the in-game locations are all authentic recreated from the team visiting towns and landmarks in West Australia and taking photos, videos and audio recordings for it to be as true as possible . Furthermore, even the game’s atmospheric soundtrack composed by Tim Sunderland is composed with instruments constructed from everyday objects which brings a wholly unique and distinctive tone to the game.

“Versus Evil has a history of partnering with some of the best creatives in the industry and publishing highly engaging RPG titles enriched with deep narratives and killer visuals. Drop Bear Bytes have a clear vision and a collective talent that will bring an exciting addition to the Versus Evil RPG family of published titles and we look forward to sharing their passion project fans of the genre” Said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.
