Today, 2K announced the Icon Edition and Deluxe Edition of WWE® 2K23, the newest installment of the flagship WWE video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts, are available now worldwide for PlayStation® 5 (PS5™), PlayStation®4 (PS4™), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The Standard Edition and Cross-Gen will be available on Friday, March 17, 2023. All editions feature different images of 16-time World Champion, Hollywood icon, record-setting philanthropist, and WWE 2K23 Executive Soundtrack Producer, John Cena.

“With each iteration of the WWE 2K franchise, our team strives to add and improve features that players will love,” said Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts. “We’re very proud of the work that we’ve done on WWE 2K23 and the ‘You Can’t Beat Me’ Showcase, WarGames, enhancements to existing modes, and general look and feel of the game. WWE 2K23 features an array of new features and improvements on existing fan-favorites:

  • WarGames: The much-requested, chaotic and action-packed WarGames makes its debut in WWE 2K23 and delivers heart-pounding 3v3 and 4v4 single player or multiplayer mayhem inside two side-by-side rings, surrounded by a double-steel cage;
  • “You Can’t Beat Me” 2K Showcase Starring John Cena: Conquering John Cena in the ring is an accolade few Superstars can claim. In an unprecedented twist on the 2K Showcase, players will step into the boots of several of Cena’s toughest competitors with one goal in mind: defeat the man who will “Never Give Up.” Spanning his 20-year WWE career and narrated by Cena himself, this interactive sports entertainment documentary uses 2K’s unique Slingshot Tech for a seamless transition from gameplay to live-action footage to bring pivotal moments in each match to life. Custom arenas are now playable online, and advanced customization has been added to created entrances, as well as visual improvements to Create-a-Superstar models and hundreds of new parts;

NCSOFT Unveils New RTS Project G

NCSOFT, a global premier game developer and publisher, today debuted the first trailer for the company’s new mobile and PC title, ‘Project G,’ on its official YouTube channel.

Project G is the company’s first real-time strategy (RTS) game, coming to global players. This brand-new IP is currently under development as a strategy game set in a massive-scale war. Each player will expand by accumulating limited resources and will also make use of different tactics in territory conquests between guilds.

The trailer features 100% real gameplay scenes with high-quality graphics currently under development, built on Unreal Engine. It showcases various game system details, including unique characters of different races, strategic combats executed with melee and ranged units, and tactical maneuvers of ‘Dragons’ and ‘Strategic Arms’ in objective and territory conquest wars. It also reveals in-game footage where battles between individual forces expand into massive warfare.

Project Director Minseok Seo said, “Building an RTS title upon NCSOFT’s advanced technology accumulated with MMO-based massive-scale battle system, we aim to create unprecedented scale and quality that have not been witnessed in any other strategy games.” He also added, “Players will be able to experience the quintessence of strategy games, coupled with various units and worlds unique to Project G, making the gameplay itself the fun factor for the players.”

NCSOFT unveils new projects of various genres in development as part of NCing, the company’s open R&D initiative. The Kindeman Remedy is a dark and twisted story-driven psycho-horror management game that puts players in the shoes of Doctor Carl Kindeman, a disgraced physician whose unethical practices banished him from his medical society, and Sister Anna, a promiscuous nun with a special taste for fresh blood and a knack for secretly administering poison.

With the aim of restoring his lost reputation by creating the perfect anesthesia, Kindeman accepts a job in a rough and stranded prison, where he may conduct his questionable experiments away from the spotlight. Survival-Horror Game Shame Legacy Announced

Destructive Creations, publisher of the popular action-horror Daymare: 1998, announced today that Shame Legacy, a first-person survival-horror developed by Fairyship Games and Revenant Games, will launch on PC and consoles on May 30, 2023. Barotrauma Official Launch Trailer

After almost four successful years in Early Access, the sci-fi submarine sim Barotrauma is ready to take on its biggest mission yet: full launch. The game is available today on Steam from 5PM GMT/6PM CET.

To celebrate this momentous occasion and immerse players in the depths of Europa, publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developers FakeFish and Undertow Games have released a new video for Barotrauma.

Barotrauma is a sci-fi submarine simulator with both a single-player campaign as well as co-op modes with support for up to 16 players, who must navigate the depths of Jupiter’s frozen moon Europa and fulfill various missions. Together with their active and passionate community, developers FakeFish and Undertow Games have greatly expanded and improved the game since its Early Access launch in summer 2019. They completely overhauled the campaign and tutorials, added new monsters, missions and outposts, improved graphics and environments, implemented a scripted event system and much much more. All of this was only possible thanks to the feedback and support of more than 30,000 Discord members as well as 60,000 player-made entries on the Steam Workshop. To show the team’s devotion to their players and fanbase the developers even added a player-made submarine to the base game as part of a community competition.

Barotrauma’s thrilling and often hilarious chaos is both fun to play and watch, thanks to procedurally generated levels, ridiculous ragdoll physics and full mod support. But beware: some threats are closer than you think. Multiplayer’s traitor mode option may randomly assign players as secret conspirators, complete with their own individual missions like assassination and sabotage.

Introducing the vast and gruesome land of Gloomrot, where evil machinations have polluted the terrain, bringing forth untold horrors from the experiments that occurred there. Also included are juicy details on increased customization options when constructing castles and a confirmation of the much-coveted multiple tiered castles, allowing mansions to transform into masterfully-built fortresses. The Outlast Trials Early Access Date Revealed

Red Barrels, the independent game development studio based in Montréal, has officially announced the Early Access release date for The Outlast Trials, which will come to Steam and Epic Games Store on May 18, 2023.

Players were first granted access to Murkoff’s Sinyala Facility last Halloween for the Closed Beta experience. Running from Friday 28 October to Tuesday 1 November, almost 1 million players signed up for the terrifying challenge, with successful players racking up a total of 35 years of play time spent in the Closed Beta weekend.

“The Closed Beta was just a taste of what’s to come in The Outlast Trials,” said Philippe Morin, Co-Founder of Red Barrels. “Our first round of willing participants to take part in the trials provided us with some insightful feedback and very interesting data, which we have used to improve the experience.

“We received so many requests for the Closed Beta that we’re looking forward to welcoming even more players to The Outlast Trials when it comes to Early Access on May 18th.”

The Outlast Trials Closed Beta gameplay data:

A brand new take on the acclaimed Outlast survival horror series, The Outlast Trials is set in the same terrifying universe as the previous titles, only this time you can choose to play on your own or with friends in a team of up to four people.

Set in the height of the Cold War era, players take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. Imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility, players will be thrust into a series of physical and mental ordeals, tormented by iconic characters, and challenged alone or in teams to survive with their sanity intact.

Master of Magic Through the Myrror Update Out Now

The wizarding battlefields of Master of Magic have become even more spellbinding with today’s release of the free major update Through the Myrror on Steam, bringing a host of new content to the epic fantasy 4X game. Get ready to challenge both planes of existence with four new grand wizards, the new druidic and diminutive Goblins, new heroes and champions, as well as new skills, monsters, and spells.

Polish studio MuHa Games and strategy publisher Slitherine aim to constantly improve the recently launched Master of Magic, with Through the Myrror being the first of many updates, big and small, to come. Released in December 2022, Master of Magic has been popularly received by both newcomers and veterans of the timeless original from the 1990s.

Get ready for grand wizarding

In Master of Magic, players command one of 14 extraordinary and diverse grand wizards who, locked in spell-flinging competition, aim to dominate the magical worlds of Arcanus and Myrror. They lead fantastic armies of otherworldly creatures, from orcs to elves and dragons, and use potent spells based on a complex system of magic schools, dark rituals, research, and unique items. In the end, there can only be one Master of Magic.

Through the Myrror

The major update summons four new wizards, available to all players of Master of Magic for free. From the powerful Draconian Raa’ss, master of Chaos and Death, to Bianka, the Dwarven Runekeeper. A new faction, the tribal Goblins, can also be controlled. Their size might not impress, but these green-skinned druidic humanoids are supremely in touch with nature, fielding Boar Riders and Beastmasters to battle. Players will also be able to use new hero skills, from Summoning Fat Rats to becoming a Foodie, allowing them to relish the delectable, which in turn strengthens them in combat.

New Wizard traits provide even more personality and power to a player’s magic wielder, such as Fantastic Warlord, Lifebringer, or Nature Summoner. Last, new heroes and champions join the fray: the Goblin Toadsworth the Boartamer, Bjorn the Fireborn, and Jotun the Icetroll. Through the Myrror also brings a host of other updates for all to enjoy in Master of Magic, from new monsters (Boar and Fat Rats) to multi-hex road construction and remappable hotkeys.
