Dotemu (MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, Absolum) today dropped a gameplay video overview of Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, the strategic adaptation of the iconic sci-fi series that challenges you to save a ragtag fleet from all but certain extinction.
The video demonstrates how developer Alt Shift has built Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes as an enthralling, narratively driven journey where evading the pursuit of the series’ merciless sentient robots, the Cylons, is a cutthroat balance of scavenging supplies and making the most of imperfect situations.
Watch the video now for an early glimpse at your future duties as commander, where you’ll keep the peace as best you can while protecting your forces from decimation – as well as imposters among your ranks.
The cursed burial grounds of Haunted Lands beckon you, as the demo is available now on Steam! Choose from six unique character classes that each suit a different playstyle, from mystical mages to ferocious beasts, acquire powerful artifacts to enhance your power tenfold, and slash your way through hordes of undead, twisted foes in this retro-inspired platformer developed by Alevgor and published by Alawar.
Hellish creatures lurk within the Haunted Lands, and only you can protect the sanctity of these burial grounds. Players can choose from a variety of different classes; Beast class is perfect for players who want to get up close and personal with foes, and spirit slayers who prefer to demolish from a distance may choose the Gunner class. Wish to wield both offensive spells and healing scrolls? The Mage class may be for you! Explore ancient crypts and tombs, and decimate the demons, cultists and more that stand in your way. The further you venture, the more intense bosses you’ll encounter.
Megapop, the studio behind the upcoming underwater city builder Life Below, has released a new developer video digging into one of its core questions: how do you turn real marine science into something that’s actually fun to play?
The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the team translated real-world marine biology into the core foundation of the game, how its difficulty responds to different playstyles, and why realism alone was never the goal.
Set in a fragile underwater ecosystem, Life Below challenges players to design and manage thriving sub-aquatic settlements while balancing growth, resource management, and the health of the surrounding reef.
“We brought in marine biologists who helped us out with some workshops where we got to ask a lot of stupid questions,” explains Lise Hagen Lie, Game Director with Megapop.
Those lessons shaped Life Below’s core systems, from reef construction to water parameters. But Megapop admit that in-game behaviour isn’t all true to science and that there needed to be a balance for entertainment sake. Hagen Lie explains, “For example, PH doesn’t work in reality, the way that we have it in our game. We had to gamify it a little bit”.
The development team goes on to discuss how fish were simulated, how they interact with each other and also how Life Below challenges different types of players.
“We designed the game in a way that can be played in different ways depending on your playstyle. If you’re a player that likes to take their time and sit back and relax, the experience in turn will be a little easier. But if you’re a player looking for more of a challenge, then you’d be developing your reef quicker and running into various difficulties and challenges much faster,” said Thor Palsson, Senior Game Designer.
Life Below is currently in development for PC. Players can watch the full developer video now and follow the project for future updates as development continues.

Forge your legend in a world in decline
The story of GreedFall: The Dying World begins three years before the events of the first game, at the dawn of the Malichor plague, a mysterious illness that is gradually corrupting the Old Continent of Gacane. This time, you play as a native of the island of Teer Fradee, recently discovered by the colonists of Gacane, destined to become a Doneigad: a guardian of knowledge and Nature. Your initiation is barely complete when your destiny is overturned as you are taken prisoner by soldiers who forcibly take you to the Old Continent.
Your quest to regain your freedom plunges you into the heart of a vast conspiracy: it’s up to you to forge your destiny in the hope of saving not only your island but the entire continent.
It’s dangerous to go alone…
During your journey, you get to meet new allies ready to join your cause: recruit up to eight companions, each with their own story, beliefs, and secrets. Their presence in your party allows you to obtain information, defuse tricky situations, or sometimes make them worse… It’s up to you to develop your relationships with your companions, to make them brothers-in-arms, rivals, friends, or even soulmates!
Master the art of combat
While cunning or diplomacy can get you out of many situations, you can also resort to force to confront the many enemies on your path in intense combat sequences. Thanks to the tactical pause, you can coordinate your actions and those of your companions to exploit enemy weaknesses and unleash devastating skills. But if you wish to stay in the heat of the action, you can also focus on the character of your choice and let the rest of the group act on its own. Numerous options will allow you to adapt the combat style to your preferences!
Discover a fascinating world
Aboard your ship, the Constanzia, you will explore the vast continent of Gacane, a land divided by conflicts between factions. This is your opportunity to travel through majestic cities and lands with unique landscapes! Uncover their mysteries, discover their treasures, and face the many dangers they hold. Watch the world evolve according to your decisions: they will shape your reputation, your alliances, and they will decide the fate of your adventure.

Notorious Studios is pleased to announce that its debut title, extraction-RPG Eldegarde, is out now on Steam, bringing dynamic fantasy combat and RPG mechanics to players on PC.
Eldegarde launches today following a successful period in Steam Early Access, receiving over 3,000 Mostly Positive reviews, and building a dedicated community of players who have supplied the development team with invaluable feedback in the lead up to launch.
Players are able to pick from a selection of iconic fantasy classes, including classics like Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, and Priest, as well as the newly added Paladin. Eldegarde’s 1.0 launch also introduces a PvE mode, allowing newcomers to learn the game’s maps and combat mechanics at their own pace, playing the game in a whole new way, safe from the flagship full loot PvP extraction experience.
Eldegarde has been created by Notorious Studios, a team composed mostly of Blizzard veterans and led by former World of Warcraft Game Designer Chris Kaleiki.
“Eldegarde is a game that raises the bar on so many stagnant RPG systems like class design, combat, PvP and progression found in many RPGs and MMOs” said Chris Kaleiki, Founder of Notorious Studios. “Extraction has really taken off recently with Arc Raiders. Eldegarde is really the Fantasy RPG version of that experience, so we feel it has a ton of potential. This genre is still very much in its infancy.”
Eldegarde is available now on Steam priced at $24.99 / €24.99 / £21.99.
