A Pro Mouse That Fits: My In-Depth Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2c Gaming Mouse Review

Life at 30 is a balancing act. By day, I’m neck-deep in research papers and dissertation chapters. By night, I trade my academic cap for a headset, and my main source of stress relief comes from clicking heads in Valorant with friends. For years, my biggest frustration wasn’t a tough exam or a missed deadline; it was my gaming mouse. I have smaller hands, and every “top-tier” mouse felt like I was trying to palm a potato—a little too big, a little too clumsy. I loved the idea of the original Logitech G Pro X Superlight that all the pros used, but it just wasn’t built for me. When Logitech announced the Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2c gaming mouse, a compact version, I felt a glimmer of hope. After a few weeks of late-night gaming sessions, I can say this: they finally did it.

Pulling the Superlight 2c out of the box, the first thing I noticed was the weight, or rather, the lack of it. At just 51 grams, it feels almost ethereal. But the real magic happened when I gripped it. It’s exactly what I and so many others had been asking for: the same comfortable, safe shape of the original, just scaled down. It immediately felt like an extension of my hand rather than a tool I was holding.

That perfect fit translates directly into my gameplay. With the full-sized mice I used before, my grip always felt a bit strained. With the 2c, there’s extra room in my palm, which allows me to be far more nimble. Making those tiny, crucial micro-adjustments to land a shot feels more intuitive and less like a conscious effort. The flatter sides also support a more relaxed claw or fingertip grip, which adds to the comfort over a long session After a full day of typing, the last thing I want is more hand fatigue, and the 2c’s ergonomics are a massive relief.

As a grad student, my gaming time is precious. I don’t have the patience for gear that doesn’t perform. The Superlight 2c is packed with the same top-end technology as its bigger brother, and it shows. The HERO 2 sensor is flawless; my aim feels incredibly precise, with no weird acceleration or tracking errors to blame for my missed shots. The LIGHTSPEED wireless connection is rock-solid, and I’ve never experienced a moment of lag.

The main clicks, which use Logitech’s hybrid optical-mechanical switches, are crisp and responsive. The battery life is also a huge plus. Logitech claims up to 95 hours, and I believe it. I can go for over a week of nightly gaming without even thinking about plugging it in, which is great because, frankly, I have more important things to remember. When it does need a charge, the upgrade to a USB-C port is a welcome modern convenience.

Now for the reality check: the price. At $159.99, this mouse is a serious investment, especially on a student budget. It’s a tough pill to swallow when there are so many cheaper alternatives on the market. For that price, you’d expect perfection, and the Superlight 2c isn’t quite there.

My main complaints are carried over from previous models. The stock PTFE feet, or “skates,” on the bottom feel a bit scratchy and just aren’t as smooth as what you’d find on competing mice or aftermarket sets. It’s a small thing, but it’s noticeable. Many enthusiasts will tell you that replacing them is a must, which feels like an extra hidden cost. Additionally, the Superlight series has a history of issues with the scroll wheel encoder, with some users reporting “phantom scrolling” during intense moments. While my copy feels solid so far, it’s a lingering concern in the back of my mind.

So, is it worth it? For me, the answer is a resounding yes. Despite the steep price and the minor issues with the skates and scroll wheel, the Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2c solves the one problem I’ve had for years. It delivers elite, no-compromise performance in a shape that is, for my smaller hands, perfect. It makes my limited gaming time more comfortable and more enjoyable. If you’re like me—someone with smaller hands who has always felt that the iconic Superlight shape was just out of reach—this is the mouse you’ve been waiting for. It’s an expensive tool, but for a hobby that brings so much joy and relief, it’s an investment I’m happy I made.

Overall Score 4 out of 5

Pros:

  • Perfect fit for smaller hands
  • Extremely lightweight
  • Top-tier performance

Cons:

  • Premium price
  • Mushy side buttons

Celebrate 250 Years of the U.S. Navy With World of Warships

Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the leading historically accurate naval multiplayer game World of Warships, is commemorating 250 years since the birth of the US Navy. With the introduction of the limited-time event Liberty Harbor, players will be able to build their own naval base, earn rewards, and learn about the US Navy’s history since its inception. In addition, the October update sees the Dockyard welcome a new destroyer in the guise of Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B, and the Unity, Justice, Freedom Event Pass brings new rewards to unlock, alongside much more content.

Liberty Harbor brings the star-studded legacy of the US Navy to World of Warships

On October 13th, the US Navy will celebrate 250 years, and to mark the occasion, World of Warships is bringing a limited-time event known as Liberty Harbor to players. Starting on October 9th, players will uncover the story of a young naval officer, raised on the iconic stories of his father, who served in the US Navy as a naval base commander. Following the return to his childhood home, the young boy discovers his classic toy naval base, Liberty Harbor, where he recalls the stories and lessons taught by his father as he works to rebuild it to its former glory.

With the Liberty Harbor naval base, players will be able to construct four areas. Starting with Naval Commander, here, special combat missions for Random, Ranked, and Brawls can be completed. Moving onto Operational Command, players can conquer special combat missions for Operations, Co-op Battles, and temporary battle types. The Military Port will enable players to send their ships on Expeditions, and finally, Fuel Terminal allows players to tackle more missions in the other areas. By completing these missions and dispatching fleets on Expeditions, Naval Base Supplies can be earned, which can be exchanged to build and upgrade areas of Liberty Harbor.

Each location consists of three levels, with every upgrade boosting its visuals and functionality. As these are constructed, the event progress bar will fill up, offering rewards such as stories of past US Navy exploits. In-game rewards will also be available, including the Navy 250th anniversary flag; US Commander John Barry, the father of the U.S Navy; Blue, Gold, and White permanent camouflage; Battle Lines of the Pacific permanent camouflage for Tier X American battleship Montana; and the final reward will be Tier VIII American cruiser Bridgeport. To cap off the celebration, two dedicated ports in honor of the US Navy will also be available for players around the world to enjoy.

A new Pan-Asian destroyer moors in the Dockyard

The gates to the Dockyard have opened once again, and for the October update, it is welcoming Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B with 35 phases to complete. This black variant of the original Lüshun vessel comes equipped with four fast-reloading 130mm guns, packing high damage, alongside ten torpedo tubes that pack a powerful underwater punch. What she lacks in manoeuvrability, she makes up for with concealment, in addition to the Heavy Repair Team and Hydroacoustic Search consumables to assist in the heat of battle.

Celebrate Reunification Day with an all-new Event Pass

October 3rd marks 35 years since East and West Germany became one country again after being divided for decades. To coincide with this anniversary, the Unity, Justice, Freedom Event Pass brings a boatload of German-themed content to unlock. Across the progression line, Commander Goldelse, the Black, Red, and Gold permanent camouflage, and the Iron Cross permanent camouflage for F. Schultz will be available to earn. A second progression line can also be unlocked, granting immediate access to Commander Delphius Ora-cle as a bonus reward. Progressing further will unlock the Infernal permanent camouflage for Tier VIII and Tier X ships, as well as German Tier VI battleship Prinz Eitel Friedrich.

The October update for World of Warships concludes the continuation of 10th anniversary festivities, as the Grand Voyage event and temporary battle type, Blast from the Past, remain for players to enjoy. Finally, a new line of German Kriegsmarine cruisers joins Early Access, Brawls returns for another season, a new rare British aircraft carrier known as Ocean enters the Armory, and Battle Chat changes, along with various gameplay additions, round out a boat-filled update.
