Funcom Launches Biggest Update Yet for Dune: Awakening

Today, developer and publisher Funcom is proud to announce that the biggest free update yet to Dune: Awakening, Dune: Awakening, one of Steam’s highest-grossing new releases of 2025, is LIVE along with the paid Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC. The open world survival game inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune as well as Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment’s acclaimed blockbuster franchise, just got a whole lot bigger and better.

Chapter 3 Free Update: Bigger and Better Endgame

Chapter 3 delivers one of the most requested improvements: a bigger and better endgame. Once players reach Tier 6, progression has now been extended. Chapter 3 introduces new systems that let players continue to grow their power, refine their build, and define their role.

Importantly, players can now progress meaningfully through PVE-focused content.

• Expanded Endgame
Chapter 3 delivers a major endgame expansion built around a rebuilt Landsraad, deep new progression systems, and powerful gear customization.

• 10 New Locations to Explore
10 brand-new overland locations have been added, including open-area challenge zones and Imperial Testing Stations, designed for repeatable endgame play and escalating challenges.

• New Landsraad Missions
The Landsraad now has repeatable missions that increase Faction Rank, Great House Standing, and unlock exclusive rewards.

• Specialization Progression
Players can now shape their playstyle through five distinct progression paths: Crafting, Gathering, Exploration, Combat, and Sabotage.

• Augmentation System
Unique Tier 6 weapons and armor can now be enhanced with powerful Augments crafted at the new Augmentation Station. Augmented gear can be used by all players.

• No More Base Taxation
Base taxation on player-built bases has been fully removed; players no longer need to travel to the Social Hubs to pay their taxes and can save their precious Solaris for better investments.

• Returning Player Support
Introduces a returning player resource package designed to support inactive players re-entering the game. Eligible players who have been away for a set period will receive a resource bundle scaled to their progression in the Research tree, ensuring a smoother and more balanced return to play.

• Two new weapons and a rework

Two new weapons have been added: The Pyrocket and the Dual Blades. The Rapier has been completely reworked.

• New Story Chapter

For players eager to continue the journey, Chapter 3 picks up directly where Chapter 2 ended, delivering hours of new story reuniting the player with an old ally.

That’s far from an exhaustive list. A massive number of changes, improvements, and additions make Chapter 3 the biggest update to Dune: Awakening since launch. See the FULL overview here.

Raiders of the Broken Lands Paid DLC: More Stuff to Build With

Launching today alongside the free Chapter 3 update is Raiders of the Broken Lands, included at no extra cost with the Season Pass. Vampire Therapist Comes to Consoles Later This Month

Little Bat Games, in partnership with Ultimate Games S.A., is thrilled to announce that its BAFTA-nominated visual novel adventure through the (im)mortal mind, Vampire Therapist, is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch later this month, before arriving on Xbox in March.

Released on PC in 2024, Vampire Therapist sees players take on the role of a reformed Wild West gunslinger-slash-vampire, as they guide their fellow undead spawn through the twists and turns of an immortal existence. The world may not accept them, but perhaps they can learn to accept themselves.

The game has also been revamped with improved controller support, so console players can sink into their chaise longue (other sofa types are available) and enjoy Vampire Therapist in relaxed repose.

Vampire Therapist Features:

  • Real Therapy Concepts: You’ll learn and apply real cognitive behavioral therapy concepts vetted by licensed therapists. By challenging client statements that contain “cognitive distortions”, you’ll help vampires see where their thoughts don’t match reality.
  • A Comedic Look Through History: Meet emotionally damaged vampires from ancient Greece, Renaissance Italy, revolutionary France, Tudor England, and Iron Age Ireland.
  • An All-Star Voice Cast:  Featuring Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Baldur’s Gate 3), Francesca Meaux (Hades), Sarah Grayson (Gone Home, Hades II), Kylie Clark, and the game’s creator, Cyrus Nemati (Hades, Pyre).
  • Unique Setting: Vampire Therapist merges cozy self-introspection with a dark European goth vibe. In fact, the whole thing takes place above a goth club in Germany filled with willing necks to bite.
  • Minigames: Learn mindfulness meditation, safely and consensually bite sexy necks!

Vampire Therapist launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on 17 February 2026, before arriving on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on 5 March 2026.
