Men of War II Release Date Trailer

Fulqrum Publishing and Ukrainian studio Best Way are today thrilled to announce that the highly-anticipated next instalment in the beloved strategy franchise, Men of War II is coming to PC on September 20th, 2023 via Steam, Epic Games Store and other digital store fronts. Along with the release date, a new trailer unveils a plethora of never before disclosed content; even more, including gameplay features highly requested by fans of the previous Men of War games, will be showcased soon.

Epic Narrative Campaigns

At launch, the game will feature three huge single-player narrative campaigns, which will guide the player through explosive fictional stories set against a historically accurate background. Featuring plotlines from three global powers – the Americans, Soviets and Germans – players will utilise military strategy to lay waste to their adversaries and fulfil various tactical objectives.

The American campaign, ‘The Falaise Pocket’, sees players taking on the role of Allied troops facing the task of eliminating German forces west of the Seine.

‘Thwarted Blitzkrieg’ is the Soviet campaign, and follows an almost hopeless situation for the USSR, as they struggle to slow the encroaching German tank forces.

In the German campaign, ‘On Their Own Soil’, players act as an old soldier amidst the collapse of the Third Reich, following the difficult road of retreat and loss, in a war that was never truly his own.

Each story chronicles the breadth of struggle and conflict from the historical backdrops that they are set upon, giving the player a realistic experience with intense real-time battle action.

Alongside these heart-stopping narrative battles, six further bonus standalone missions provide players with even more heart-stopping action.

Historical Campaigns

In addition to the narrative campaigns, players will be given the ability to dive deeper into true historical operations with American ‘Operation Overlord’, the Allied operation into Western Europe and Soviet ‘Operation Bagration’, a large-scale Soviet offensive against Nazi Germany, through a series of related missions.

These historical campaigns offer the player more dynamic choices when choosing their battalions and units to defeat the enemy threat.

Raids and Conquest

Two further campaign modes offer even more variety. The first being Raids, which are a series of 16 randomly generated battles, where players progress by conquering their opponents and upgrading their battalions with currency won in each subsequent round of combat.

Conquest offers a truly dynamic campaign in which the player chooses a path for their army, in an attempt to conquer territory. These attempts are challenged by AI battalions, who will be consistently counter-attacking in an intense fight to capture it back. This advanced AI can also be utilised in any map or multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer Mobilised!

Men of War II will also showcase over 20 hand-crafted multiplayer maps, 5 dedicated PVE game modes, and 13 game modes for PVP.

Regarding PVE experiences, all single-player content will also be playable in co-op with up to 4 other players, bringing a true Allied experience as players join forces with friends to ambush their adversaries.

Robust Mod Support

Action never stops thanks to a significantly redesigned and modified GEM RTS engine, with a comprehensive editor and full mod support at launch, Men of War II is primed to keep growing with community-created content for years to come.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition Announcement Trailer

Outright Games, the leading global publisher of family-friendly interactive entertainment, has announced TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition, an all-new action packed, single player TRANSFORMERS video game that is being developed in partnership with Hasbro, a global leader in play. This is the first game inspired by the original animated series TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK that premiered globally November 2022. TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition will introduce a new generation of video game fans to an all-new generation of Earthborn TRANSFORMERS bots when it launches later this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition puts fans behind the wheel of the iconic hero Bumblebee, as he drifts, drives, and fights his way across a new but familiar world. The game aims to faithfully recreate the environment and feel of the ground-breaking animated series, as Bumblebee sets off on his own adventure to face a mysterious threat from his past and stop the series villain Dr. Meridian, aka “Mandroid”, from recovering missing pieces of an ancient technology.

As part of this action-packed journey, players will be able to freely explore three massive biomes and complete quests from their Terran allies, the first TRANSFORMERS robots to be born on Earth, and new original characters from the TV series. To complete his mission Bumblebee will also fight against and alongside fan-favorite legacy TRANSFORMERS bots including Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Skullcruncher, Nova Storm, and Skywarp.

Deep levels of exploration and combat reward players for undertaking multiple playthroughs as they unlock a diverse range of upgrades and abilities that allow access to previous locations, and to discover secrets in previously inaccessible areas. Unlock the skills needed to take down Decepticons with spectacular ultimate attacks and customize Bumblebee by selecting a variety of engine energy trails when in vehicle mode.

The game has been designed to be accessible for fans of all ages, with detailed analysis given to different scenarios allowing freedom of exploration, text legibility, control setups and difficulty curves ensuring it is playable by younger gamers. Variable difficulty options are included that allow the game to be played according to individual ability, alongside mechanics that mitigate frustration in combat, such as directional warnings to help players identify incoming threats more easily. An assisted driving system has also been included which provides an easier control scheme when in vehicle mode, as well as the option to enable automatic camera so players can focus their full attention on exploring, driving, and battling enemies.

Stephanie Malham, COO of Outright Games said, “We’re very excited to be working with our long-term licensing partner Hasbro once again on a Transformers title that pushes the boundaries of what video games can bring to a long standing, hugely popular franchise. They have done an incredible job modernizing and reinventing what Transformers means for a new generation through TV series, blockbuster movies, and working with the best partners on streaming platforms. We’re delighted to bring our expertise to the table and help compliment this strategy through the creation of video games for younger fans.”

TRANSFORMERS started life as a toy-line in 1984 and has gone on to depict the epic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons across movies, TV shows, comic books, innovative toys, and digital media. The TRANSFORMERS franchise is a global powerhouse spanning generations that has produced over 10 feature films and countless video games, making it a household name around the world.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition will launch in 2023 across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Six Days in Fallujah Now in Steam Early Access

After 18 years, some of Sgt. Eddie Garcia’s Marine memories in Fallujah can now be experienced by others through Steam’s Early Access program. The release of the first-person tactical shooter Six Days in Fallujah by Victura and Highwire Games features the most realistic simulation of urban combat to date.

Garcia approached game developers almost two decades ago with the idea of giving others a better perspective on what Marines and civilians experience during combat. Along with Garcia, Six Days in Fallujah was developed with help from more than 100 Marines and Soldiers who served in the Second Battle of Fallujah, as well as more than two dozen Iraqi civilians and soldiers.

Based on true stories from the battle, Six Days in Fallujah requires players to overcome real-world scenarios with their fire team by using real-life military tactics.

These missions are set in urban maps that are generated procedurally every time the game is played to recreate the uncertainty of combat along with unlimited replayability. The game is available on Steam today for $39.99.

“Everyone has an opinion about war but very few people have fought in one and truly understand the experience,” says Sgt. Garcia, who was wounded during the Second Battle of Fallujah in 2004. “Six Days in Fallujah will provide a window into what it feels like, the enormous responsibility every young Marine experiences as they enter combat, and the visceral terror and human cost of combat.”

“When we got home, we felt the love, but people didn’t have the knowledge – about Fallujah, or about combat,” Sgt. Garcia continued. “Perhaps participating in these real events through this highly realistic videogame will give people a new perspective on something most of us will always struggle to understand.”

In Early Access, Six Days in Fallujah focuses initially on the experiences of U.S. Marine fire teams on the first day of the battle. As Early Access develops, players will also choose to play cooperatively as special operations, or as Iraqi soldiers fighting alongside coalition forces. Players will also begin to encounter civilians as the battle progresses. Victura also plans to release additional co-operative missions, as well as story campaign missions recreating real stories from the Second Battle of Fallujah from the perspective of both coalition forces and Iraqi civilians.

In the coming months, additional features and content will be introduced, including:

  • Night-time Missions – Knowing what lies around the next corner is hard enough during daylight hours. Gameplay evolves with even more tension with the addition of night-time missions, as more are added throughout Early Access.
  • Weather variation – While night-time missions will add to the procedural architecture, weather variation will challenge players and add to the complexity of missions.
  • “Go” Command – Later this year, take control of your AI teammates with unique tactical control, drawing inspiration from real-life tactics.
  • Single-Player Missions – Specific moments from the second battle of Fallujah from those who were there, including Special Operations Missions, Civilians and more.

Six Days introduces many new technologies that make combat more realistic:

  • Procedural Architecture re-shapes the inside and outside of every building each time the game is played. Just like the real battle, players never know what to expect.
  • Block-scale AI is a dramatic new approach to AI based on insurgent tactics from the battle. Unlike games in which AI is constrained to move in very small areas, AI enemies in Six Days can go anywhere on the battlefield, and they will stalk, flank, and ambush players while coordinating their attacks with each other and luring players into difficult situations.
  • Global Dynamic Lighting simulates real weather and lighting effects dynamically, so visibility shapes gameplay, especially as players move between blindingly bright outdoors and terrifyingly dark indoors. Realistic smoke, dust, and weather effects complicate visibility in unpredictable ways.
  • Tactical Indoor/Outdoor Sandbox. Players — and their AI enemies — are free to approach challenges from any direction in Six Days in Fallujah Rather than breaching a house through a front door, for example, players might choose to climb to a rooftop, or cross rooftops on wooden planks, to attack from the top down.

In Early Access, Six Days in Fallujah will focus initially on the experiences of US Marine fireteams on the first day of the battle As Early Access develops, players can also choose to play cooperatively as special operations or Iraqi soldiers fighting alongside coalition forces, and players will begin to encounter civilians as the battle progresses.

Victura also plans to release additional co-operative missions, as well as story campaign missions recreating real stories from the Second Battle of Fallujah from the perspective of both coalition forces and Iraqi civilians.

The Second Battle of Fallujah began in November 2004 after Al Qaeda in Iraq seized control of the city of Fallujah. Six months later, Iraq’s prime minister ordered a military operation in which Iraqi soldiers fought alongside American and British forces to re-take the city. Within a few days it had become one of the world’s bloodiest battles in half a century.

Six Days in Fallujah began development 18 years ago, just months after the battle ended. Conceived by a Marine who was wounded during the battle, more than 100 Marines and Soldiers, along with more than two dozen Iraqis, have helped with its development. The game was canceled in 2009 by the game’s original publisher, Konami. Development restarted in 2017 when publisher, Victura, partnered with developer Highwire Games, a studio founded by many of the original Halo and Destiny leadership.

The PC version of Six Days in Fallujah will launch into Early Access on the Steam store on June 22, 2023 at a price of US$39.99. The full release of the game is expected to be available for both console and PC in 2024. More information about Six Days in Fallujah is available at www.sixdays.com. Six Days in Fallujah is also on Twitter (@VicturaGG), and YouTube.

DCS: F-15E Early Access Launch Trailer

Eagle Dynamics, together with RAZBAM Simulations is delighted to announce the Early Access release of the much-anticipated F-15E.

The F-15E, also affectionately known as the “Mud Hen”, was developed in the mid-80s as a true swing-role fighter bomber capable of performing all air-to-air and air-to-ground missions at low or high altitude, day or night, and in all weather. The F-15E is the USAF’s premier strike fighter in use today.

The 750-gallon Conformal Fuel Tanks give the F-15E a very large un-refuelled combat radius of 790 miles (1270km). In the air-to-ground, the F-15E can carry just about every weapon in the USAF inventory. Air-to-air, it can be armed with the latest generation AIM-9X Sidewinders and/or the formidable AIM-120C Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) and is additionally equipped with a 20mm cannon carrying 500 rounds.

This results is enhanced situational awareness, aircraft survivability and platform performance with lower workloads and higher target engagement numbers.

The Low-Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) gives the F-15E phenomenal accuracy in day/night, low altitude, and all-weather conditions, and enables it to attack ground targets with a variety of precision-guided and unguided weapons.

Bringing this all together and placing battlespace information at the hands of the crew, the F-15E is a weapon revered the world over.

Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening – Overview Trailer

Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Kou Shibusawa reveled the “Overview Trailer” for their upcoming historical simulation NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening. Additionally, the 16th entry in Kou Shibusawa’s famed franchise is now available to preorder on PlayStation®4 and PC Windows via Steam®, with preorders for Nintendo Switch™ to begin June 29. NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening will be available digitally July 20, 2023.

In NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, players will experience Japan’s chaotic Warring States Period by taking over the role of daimyō – a powerful Japanese feudal lord – and leading their own clan. In order to succeed in their quest to unify Japan, players can establish their “clan target”, allowing them to set a guideline for the administration of their clan. By achieving their objective, players obtain useful rewards, which will prove to be strategic to their quest of unification of the country – such as the ability to apply new policies, labor increase, and even gold acquisition. It’s up to players to start with an easy target, or aim for those that are more difficult and offer greater rewards.

By completing their “clan target”, players also earn “commendations”, which they can bestow to their retainers as “accolades”. Granting such rewards to their retainers not only strengthens their loyalty to the daimyō, but also allows them to gain aliases like “The Experience” or “The Statesman”, as well as improved abilities. In their quest, players are faced with choices, such as whether strengthening an experienced retainer who has already made many achievements to keep them in the front line, or giving that chance to a promising new retainer. As players make choices, retainers earn various achievements, which leads to their aliases to change as they enjoy more powerful benefits with new aliases like “The Veteran” or “The Humanitarian”.

Throughout the game, players also discover various famous temples and shrines like Atsuta Jingū, Tōdaiji, and Izumo Ōyashiro, scattered across the country. These temples and shrines are important strategic points called “landmarks”. By conquering a county with a landmark, players activate its effect bringing a variety of benefits to their clan, both civil and military. Players can strengthen the effect of a landmark by fulfilling certain conditions to level it up, which will not be without a significant gold cost. However, if an enemy takes control of a landmark, players will have to be prepared to fight an unexpectedly harsh battle.
