Features of First Contact include*:
New Origins:
Broken Shackles:You didn’t take to the stars; you were taken to the stars as an alien captive! Now, you and your fellow prisoners have overtaken the ship and found yourselves banding together to survive and thrive as a diverse new community. Can you rise to greatness from this humble origin… and will your former captors take notice?
Payback: No one would have believed your world was being watched keenly by intelligences greater than your own – until they actually showed up. But you did not go quietly into the night! Fear of the Dark: As you’ve explored your home system, you’ve always suspected you weren’t alone in the galaxy… especially when one of your planets suddenly suffered an “incident” a while back. A very large faction of your own people have long advocated against tempting fate out in the dark abyss of the unknown. What path will you choose as you find yourself needing room to grow?
New Pre-FTL Interaction Options: What will your role be when the next member of the galactic community tells their origin story? New mechanics allow for a broader range of interactions with pre-FTL civilizations, depending on their level of technology and their awareness of your presence. Will your arrival be celebrated, or met with violent panic?
Cloaking Technology: Nobody saw this feature coming! Equip your ships with cloaking devices to survey in secret or catch a foe unaware; keep subtle tabs on your pre-FTL neighbors with cloaked observation posts. Just be sure your own scanners and intel are strong… you never know which of your neighbors might be lurking in the shadows!
SEGA Europe Limited and The Creative Assembly Limited, have today announced the Forge of The Chaos Dwarfs Campaign Pack for Total War: WARHAMMER III, releasing on April 13th. Expand, exploit, and dominate the WARHAMMER World as Astragoth Ironhand, Drazhoath the Ashen, and Zhatan the Black, collectively boasting unique campaign mechanics, objectives, and units that only the corrupted minds of the Chaos Dwarfs could forge.
Three Foul Legendary Lords:
The Chaos Dwarfs are an industrious, dark-souled and merciless warrior race of Dwarf Daemonsmiths, subjugators and brutal killers. Three of their most brutal Legendary Lords will be yours to command:
Astragoth Ironhand, High Priest of Hashut, is the most potent Chaos Dwarf Sorcerer-Prophet. However, his body has begun to petrify, confining him to near-living entombment within a powerful mech-suit.
Drazhoath the Ashen, Sorcerer Prophet of Hashut, is the Lord of the Black Fortress and commander of the fell Legion of Azgorh. Exiled by Astragoth, Drazhoath’s mastery of magic and engineering has only grown stronger, as has his thirst for revenge.
Zhatan the Black is the commander of the Tower of Zharr. His unmatched battle prowess has left the hell forges struggling to keep up with his insatiable demand for weapons and munitions.
A Blood-Fuelled Ancestral Feud:
The Chaos Dwarfs seek an unimaginable power to conquer the known world, the Blood of Hashut – a powerful being emblematic of fire, greed, and tyranny. To gain this, they must construct the Great Drill of Hashut to burrow through the very fabric of reality to breach its domain. This can only be done by corrupting precious relics from their ancestral enemies, the Dwarfs. But the Dwarfs hold grudges, seeking revenge for the tainting of their ancient heirlooms.
A Legion Of Infernal Warriors:
The Chaos Dwarfs ranks are a diverse mix of iron clad warriors and hellish beasts from the Infernal Guard and Bull Centaurs to daemon-infused monsters such as K’daai Fireborn. Yet the true might of the Chaos Dwarfs comes from their diabolical war machines which range from Magma Cannons and Skullcrackers to the hellish Dreadquake Mortar and the colossal K’daai Destroyer.
Alongside these, the Hobgoblin Chieftain turned Chaos Dwarf enforcer, Gorduz Backstabber will be a recruitable Legendary Hero. Having outlived most of his fellow tribal leaders, his naturally distrustful disposition and lashings of cunning make him an enduring talent for survival. Watch your back.
Merciless Campaign Mechanics:
To maximize the potential of your Chaos Dwarf empire you must mercilessly exploit four unique campaign mechanics:
The Hell Forge allows the infernal Chaos Dwarf legions to grow mightier by developing special schematics forged in fire, each of which grants hellish battle bonuses.
The Tower of Zharr sees the Chaos Dwarfs (un)diplomatically vie for ownership of special Seats within this mighty council, granting unique faction rewards upon promotion.
Convoys allow the trading of war tools in return for a variety of resources, whilst engaging in battles and exchanging labourers along the way, ensuring the rewards keep flowing.
The Economy requires a multi-layered approach to the subjugation and management of labourers to keep the forges fuelled, construct advanced buildings, and expand the empire.
Free Content:
Available to unlock for all owners of Total War: WARHAMMER III for both Kislev and The Empire will be the Legendary Hero Ulrika Magdova. Unique amongst her brethren, Magdova is a vampire who excels at hybrid melee and ranged combat, as well as spellcasting from the Lore of Shadows.
Pre-order Forge Of The Chaos Dwarfs before release to receive 10% off. For further information about the product please visit the Total War blog.
Scarlet Moon is pleased to present the Stories of Fallout: Miami (Original Game Soundtrack) and Songs of Miami Wave Radio. Combined, they total nearly 100 tracks in what is one of the biggest soundtracks for a community-made mod to date. The Stories of Fallout: Miami Original Game Soundtrack features 80 tracks covering a diverse collection of ambient and combat compositions crafted by a team of composers from all around the globe. Gaining inspiration from the music of Mark Morgan and Inon Zur while subtly introducing newer, reimagined elements of surf rock and synth music of the 1980s so often associated with Florida, they have created unique orchestral and electronic soundscapes to help immerse you in the vibrant world of Miami.
Stories of Fallout: Miami – Miami Wave Radio contains a collection of charming and catchy tunes often heard on the waves of the Vacation Wasteland’s most popular radio station – Miami Wave Radio! The album presents a rich array of genres ranging from crooner, orchestra-accompanied jazz ballads to fiery, sun baked surf rock sensations guaranteed to get those hips moving. Soulful and powerful singing voices, catchy melodies and vibrantly-played instruments are heard throughout:
“We’ve been working on this project for about four years now,” reflects Music Lead Sergey Neiss. “Early iterations of the soundtrack were written even before the final vision of the project was established, and the scope has changed over time. Featured composers come from all over the world and with different musical backgrounds, working tirelessly over the course of the pandemic. The unique setting of the mod offered us many opportunities to elaborate on the base game’s score and to include original timbral touches where appropriate to reflect certain unmistakable cultural and musical characteristics of Miami and the Sunshine state. Another striking feature of the original game’s aesthetic is the grotesque use of often happy-sounding old-timey popular songs in a post-apocalyptic setting of burnt-out wastelands. Songs of Miami Wave Radio features diverse-sounding tunes referencing the tropes of a variety of genres: classy traditional pop of the 1940s, big band, swing, flirty pop of the 1960s, surf rock, calypso, blues, and jazz, to name a few. I could talk about our influences and sources of inspiration for a while, but words won’t describe what the sounds of music can, so it’s best you dive right into the soundtrack!”
Fallout: Miami is an upcoming DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 with an original setting, complete with its own engrossing main quest, interesting side quests and characters, including new companions. Once a popular tourist destination, the Vacation Wasteland of Miami now plays host to an eclectic assortment of factions and societies. The once-great slaver kingdom of Sunshine Cove has recently come under threat by a horde of automobile-worshipping nomads calling themselves the Nuclear Patriots. While Miami’s various factions vie for control over the Vacation Wasteland, a long-forgotten remnant of the old world slumbers beneath the waves, waiting for an opportunity to reclaim America once again.
