EA SPORTS Announces First Ever EA SPORTS FC Team of The Year

Today, Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) unveiled the EA SPORTS FC™ Team of The Year (TOTY), including the first ever Women’s TOTY Final XI, honouring the very best players of 2023. Men’s and Women’s Attackers will be available in EA SPORTS FC 24 starting on January 19th, with Midfielders (Jan 21st), and Defenders & Goalkeepers (Jan 23rd) to follow.

“It’s an honour to be part of the Team of The Year Final XI alongside some incredible players,” said Manchester City forward Erling Haaland. “To win an award which is voted for by the fans means a lot, I really appreciate everyone who voted, thank you!”

“It’s incredible to be recognised by the fans and be amongst some of the best players in the world,” said two time Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Alexia Putellas. “Being part of the first women’s Team of The Year is a huge honour which I’m very proud of.”

The top voted players of the campaign were Alexia Putellas appearing in 84% of all Women’s teams submitted, and Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham appearing in 74% of all Men’s teams. Rounding out the top 3 were Kylian Mbappé (66%) and Virgil Van Dijk (66%) on the men’s side and Aitana Bonmatí (77%) and Caroline Graham Hansen (66%) for the women’s XI.

“A massive thank you to the fans for voting for me to be part of this year’s Team of The Year,” said Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham. “I know a lot of incredible players have been part of previous Team of The Year squads and it’s always an honour to be part of that list.”

Anshar Publishing and Tiny Trinket Games have just dropped a brand new trailer for their upcoming isometric RPG, Zoria: Age of Shattering -which is STILL set to launch on March 7, 2024 – and henceforth shall be known as “International Stop Playing Baldur’s Gate 3 Day.”

We realize that 1167 hours is a lot of time to keep busy… but you could always watch this great trailer around 50,000 times and you’d be covered… even less if you take time out for meals and the occasional nap.

Zoria is a single player tactical RPG with turn-based combat, and outpost and follower management, set in an expansive fantasy world. In Zoria, you’ll be tasked with gathering the best warriors and mages to form a team of four that will liberate the Kingdom of Zoria which has fallen prey to the hellspawn that roam its land. The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road – Cinematic Announcement Trailer

Coming this June, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, brings players 30 hours of new main quest content that takes them back to locations last seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and continues last year’s storyline that began in the Necrom Chapter. In Gold Road players must investigate Ithelia, a Daedric Prince never seen before in the Elder Scrolls series and it’s up to players to uncover the schemes of her most devoted followers. Adventurers will encounter opportunistic Wood Elves, and protect the people of West Weald from the chaos of the Forgotten Prince’s return.

As part of Gold Road, players will explore two new zones, battle new enemies, and pick up a new system – Scribing that adds even more customization to the player’s experience. With Scribing, players can collect and customize unique skills, letting players tailor their character’s playstyle by editing their primary, secondary, and tertiary effect – something players have never been able to do before in ESO, allowing them to truly play their way.

CCP Games Unveils 2024 Roadmap for EVE Online

Today, CCP Games released a 12-month development roadmap for spacefaring MMO EVE Online. Pilots can look forward to two astronomic EVE Online content expansions, the first of which will unlock the ability to capitalize on new resources in null security systems, design player-owned ship SKINs, experience enhanced Corporation Projects, and much more. CCP Games will also deploy a new map for EVE Vanguard in 2024, enabling Founders’ Access users the opportunity to explore uncharted territory.

“EVE Online continues to grow and thrive thanks to our dedicated community of capsuleers. 2024 promises to unveil never-before-seen frontiers for our pilots to pioneer,” said Snorri Árnason, Game Director for EVE Online. “Our players’ journeys into uncharted territories will echo across the stars and battlegrounds of New Eden. “This year, our focus is to expand the core foundations of EVE Online – conflict, identity, and community,” said Bergur Finnbogason, Creative Director for EVE Online. “With two expansions jam-packed with fresh features and mechanics, players can look forward to more options for personal expression, fortifying community ties, and collaborating with fellow EVE players to further shape New Eden.”

The first content expansion for 2024 will empower players to customize sovereign space through new technology, features, and mechanics. The expansion will also introduce ship customization via player-designed SKINs, building upon the SKINR system from the EVE Online: Viridian expansion. Pilots will have the opportunity to share their SKIN designs and to sell their custom-manufactured SKINs for PLEX. Additionally, Corporation Projects will be further elevated to a central role in corporate life within New Eden, introducing more diversified tasks, customizable goals, and deeper connections to ongoing events and the economy. Corporations will also be able to create tasks for non-members, providing a crucial recruitment avenue and opportunities for players to bolster confidence and earnings.

The expansion will also introduce a new map for EVE Vanguard, EVE Online’s integrated first-person shooter module currently in early development. The map will allow players to explore uncharted planetary surfaces and delve into industry-related gameplay, establishing the start of a symbiotic relationship between spacefaring and ground-based actions that promise to have far-reaching impacts on New Eden in the future.

With the first Steam Next Fest of 2024 rapidly approaching, Earl vs. the Mutants is revving up for its grisly playable debut. That’s right! On January 18, developer Falling State Inc. will be launching a demo for their new action roguelite. Steering the popular genre in a bold, blood-spattered direction, Earl vs. the Mutants swaps dusty dungeon-crawling for a rampaging road trip through infested wastelands.

Players can trade in those swords and spells for one of the many unique vehicles they’ll commandeer through a post-apocalyptic world overrun by menacing mutant hordes. With a more destructive, confrontational style of gameplay, players can plow their post-apocalyptic death machines through encroaching enemies for maximum carnage.

Designed for short bursts of heart-pounding, high-octane action, each run will help enhance the next as players continue to unlock a gnarly arsenal of modifications for their vehicles, allowing them to channel their inner Road Warrior as they tear through the wasteland, hunting down powerful mutant bosses, and experimenting with badass custom builds.

Timberborn Update 5 Trailer

The best-selling beaver citybuilder Timberborn receives its fifth major content update, introducing new ecological hazards to challenge even the most experienced players! Badwater addresses common feedback and reworks all maps to use new mechanics, while adding over 25 new buildings to the game.

“Adding Badwater deepens gameplay and answers recurring requests for more in-game seasons. With two different fluids competing for space, players must be far more creative with water physics and irrigation to avoid contamination,” added Mechanistry Communications Manager Michal Amielanczyk. Timberborn Update 5–Badwater is available in Early Access on PC and Mac via Steam, GOG, and Epic Game Store.

Badwater is polluted fluid waste leftover from human civilization that taints regular water sources, contaminates beavers, and kills crops. In addition to Badwater Sources that burst with waste during wet seasons, a new in-game season called Badtide enters the rotation of Droughts and Wet Seasons.

Update 5 comes with new faction-specific tools and buildings for tackling Badwater contamination–from contamination barriers to decontamination pods. The new hydroengineering tools compliment existing dams, floodgates, and pumps. With Badwater processed into the beneficial Extract, the beavers create new types of dynamite used in terraforming, supercharge their bots, and even mass produce new beavers.
