Set in Ancient Rome, the new Peacock Original series Those About to Die takes audiences back to the origins of arena sports. To kick off this fortuitous moment and bridge live-action sports from the past with the present, Peacock and NBC will stunt the Opening Ceremony on Friday morning, July 26th with a public viewing using a 20×30 foot digital board to livestream Peacock’s feed. The excitement will kick off with an Ancient Roman-dressed band playing Olympic-inspired fanfare tunes marching through the Gaslamp District. The band will arrive at Peacock’s activation footprint, in front of the “Circus Maximus,” just in time for the Ceremony to begin, drawing in passersby along the way.
