Rogue Waters Gamescom Announcement Trailer

Revealed during the Future Games Show as part of Gamescom 2024, Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that focuses on releasing great games from other independent studios, today revealed their publishing partnership with Ice Code Games to release Rogue Waters, an upcoming tactical turn-based rogue-lite sailing the high seas of a swashbuckling pirate world. Ice Code Games is an independent development studio based in Warsaw, Poland and is known most recently for developing the critically acclaimed Hard West 2, a turn-based tactics game set in the Wild West released in 2022. Rogue Waters is currently in development for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store and is available to pre-order now for an additional 20% discount ahead of its release on Sept. 30, 2024.

“Bringing Rogue Waters to life has been a real adventure,” said Mateusz Pilski, Vice President of Development at Ice Code Games. “Our goal in creating games is always to contribute to the genre in ways that bring players more satisfaction and fun in tackling tactical challenges. Dynamic melee combat which recreates the dance-like fencing bouts of boarding actions, combines immersion with thoughtful planning.”

Indie Studio, Raccoon Logic (previously Typhoon Studios), have announced their newest title, Revenge of the Savage Planet will crash land into a solar system near you in early-ish 2025 for PC and consoles. Revealed during both Opening Night Live and the Xbox Gamescom showcase, Revenge of the Savage Planet brings back everything you loved about the first game in the series, but bigger and better in every way, with more planets, gear, critters, laughs, satire, and this time, in third person.

Revenge of the Savage Planet will see you unceremoniously ousted from your mission to colonize space after the powers that be deemed space exploration far too costly and challenging, they ultimately made you redundant during your 80 years of cryosleep. So, stranded on an alien planet with nothing but your wits and whatever you can scavenge from the vibrant landscape, you’ll head out on an adventure to explore strange new lands, collecting and crafting new gear in an effort to make your way home.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage First Look Gameplay Trailer

DON’T NOD is proud to reveal the first gameplay trailer and official release dates for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. DON’T NOD Montréal’s eagerly awaited upcoming narrative adventure game will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2025, for Tape 1 and March 18, 2025, for Tape 2.

The First Look Gameplay trailer offers a look into the gameplay of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, including the navigation between the dual timelines of 1995 and 2022, using Swann’s camcorder to film her summer, and of course, making dialogue choices in the game. We see the dynamic dialogue system, which promises another level of immersion: it can change based on where you look and what you say, and players can choose to ignore and interrupt other characters, which makes conversations feel more real and choices more important than ever.

Animals get cuter, more varied and the weather more challenging: Showing off the upcoming agricultural sim at gamescom, publisher and developer GIANTS Software reveals new features for Farming Simulator 25. Attendees visiting the games fair in Cologne can play-test the game from August 21st to 25th in hall 6. GIANTS Software is also present in the business area (hall 4.2).

Weather Shift: Twisters with a Chance of Hail
When virtual farmers see darkening clouds in the sky, it could be a sign of some serious weather on the way. Expecting a light twister or hail to touch down in a few areas, they need to take precautions and secure any unroofed bales. While the skies will clear and the new weather events will pass, they always carry the chance of destroying a portion of fields and forests. Players can deactivate the destruction of crops if they like their yield untouched by the weather.

Cuteness Upgrade for Animal Husbandry
With water buffaloes and goats, new animal types fill the pens, producing new types of milk that can be processed and used in production chains to acquire and distribute fine cheeses. Increasing the cuteness factor and fluffiness of the fur, animals produce offspring. Wobbling on their tiny legs at first, animal farmers watch them grow into productive livestock.

Farming Simulator 25 will be released on PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 12th. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is just around the corner and this year’s event will be scarier than ever. Beginning on Thursday, September 5 and continuing on select nights through Sunday, November 3, guests are invited to step into the place where horror lives when they purchase available event tickets, including the popular Frequent Fear Pass and Ultimate Fear Pass, which they can purchase now to maximize their visits to Halloween Horror Nights and relive the terror over and over again.
