Shuttle Releases H3 6700G Intel Core i5 Gaming Rig

Shuttle has announced the availability of its latest Intel Core i5 pc – the Shuttle H3 6700G. With a starting price of $1,035 Dollars, the PC comes stock with a 3.3GHz Intel Core i5 and 4GB of DDR3 memory. The rig can be upgraded with features such as their I.C.E. II liquid cooling kit and an Nvidia GTX 580 GPU.

“H3 delivers a whole lot of performance — all the while staying ‘green’,” said Nicolas Villalobos, Director at Shuttle Computer, North America.  “Even with a Core i7 2600K processor, GTX 560 graphics, and up to 16GB of memory, the standard 300W power supply is all that is needed.  For those looking for more, an upgrade to the 500W power supply all that is needed for a GTX 580 card.  That really speaks to how well engineered the thermals are on the H3 6700G.”

Gamers Digital Announces Jessica’s Bow Wow Bistro

Gamers Digital has announced Jessica’s Bow Wow Bistro, an upcoming kids puzzle title. Available now from Gamers Digital, the title will also be due out on July 13 via other digital retailers. Bow Wow Bistro offers players the chance to run their own canine eatery over 50 levels of play.

Jessica’s BowWow Bistro is a filling game that will satisfyingly satiate even the most sizeable of gamer appetites. It offers more than 50 levels of off-the-leash fun that mixes in a variety of upgrades and power-ups as well as other features that fans have come to love in time management franchise’s first game, Jessica’s Cupcake Café,” said Scott Zerby, president of Gamers Digital.

Warner Bros. Announces “Key Party”, War in the North Event

If you are heading to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con like we are later this month, you may be interested to know that Warner Bros. has announced a “key party”, whereby they will be releasing 40,000 specially-themed hotel room keys to various top hotels around the Comic-Con zone in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. The key cards will feature shows like Smallville and even upcoming WB video games like The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

Speaking of War in the North, there will be a special event featuring demos of the game in action AND MORE for the general public on the evening of Saturday, July 23. The event will take place at 8:00 pm in the Gaslamp District at 5th and J street. Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters Announced with First Screens

Koch Media has resurrected the long-dead Jane’s flight sim brand by announcing Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters, which is an arcade flight-sim aimed at online multiplayer matches. The game is due out on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC platforms this fall.

While this could indeed be a fun title, the flight simmer in me fondly remember’s the more serious Jane’s sims like F-15 and F/A-18

Batman: Arkham City Box Art Unveiled


Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has unveiled the official box art for its upcoming Batman: Arkham City, which is due out on October 18th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC platforms.

Dead Block Release Date Announced

Candygun Games has announced that their upcoming zombie defense game, Dead Block, will be released on July 6 for the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and July 20 for the PlayStation Network. The game puts players into the shoes of various 1950’s characters as they do their best to trap, kill, and fend of waves of the undead.

“We’re a huge fan of zombies, but we’re even bigger fans of finding the most creative ways of disposing of the undead buggers,” said Balazs Horvath, Director of Publishing of Digital Reality. “Dead Block has been a dream project of ours, and we’re elated to finally unleash it upon the world.”

DiRT 3 Monte Carlo DLC Pack Launch Screenshots

Codemasters has released some launch screens for its newly-released Monte Carlo track pack for DiRT 3. The new track pack features eight new rally stages with various weather and terrain conditions. The Monte Carlo track pack retails for 800 Microsoft Points on the Games for Windows LIVE and Xbox LIVE Marketplaces, and for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network.

World of Tanks Update Brings American Tank Destroyers

Wargaming.net has announced a new update for their popular online actioner, World of Tanks, which adds the US Army Tank Destroyer vehicle line. Aside from the new vehicle line, the update brings two new premium light tanks as well as replaces the M26 Pershing tanks with the M46 Patton.

“We constantly keep polishing the game balance, and updating World of Tanks to 6.5 is yet another important step in this direction,” said Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi. “That’s just the first of the two American TDs branches we’ll be implementing, so we will bring even more strategic satisfaction to our players in the nearest future.”

World of Warcraft Goes Partially Free to Play

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that its highly-popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, has gone somewhat free-to-play. As it stands now, any person with a Battle.net account can download the “Starter Edition” of WoW and play any character up to level 20.

The following restrictions are placed on all Starter Edition Accounts:

– A level cap of 20.
– A maximum of 10 gold.
– Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
– Unable to trade via the Auction House, mailbox, or player-to-player.
– In-game access to public chat channels unavailable. Players are limited to communicating using only say, party, or whisper.
– Characters will be unable to create or join guilds.
– Characters are not able to send whispers to other characters unless they have been added to the characters’ friends lists or have received a whisper from a character first.
– Characters will not be able to invite other players into a party.
– Characters will not be able to join parties with other characters above level 20.
– Voice chat disabled on Starter Edition accounts.
– Realms experiencing login queues will prioritize players who have full, paid accounts.
– Starter Edition accounts are not eligible for character transfers
RealID features are disabled on all Starter Edition Accounts.
