EVGA Precision Update Released

Gaming hardware maker, EVGA, has revealed a new version of its Precision GPU-tuning software. You can checkout the release notes below or download the latest version at EVGA’s website.

  • Updated EVGA Voltage Tuner:
    • Added auto detection for GTX 580 cards
    • Updated spelling
  • EVGA On-Screen Display server has been upgraded to version 4.2.4. New version gives you the following improvements:
    • Added power user oriented application profile setting allowing EVGA On-Screen Display Server to detect runtime function offsets dynamically on each 3D application startup. This provides On-Screen Display functionality support in applications using modified Direct3D runtime libraries (e.g. FXAA injection Direct3D runtimes)
    • Updated profiles list

DS Unlocked Goes Live

The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game Announced

Activision has announced The Amazing Spider-Man, a video game due out in the Summer of 2012. Set in New York City, The Amazing Spider-Man game is being developed as an epilogue story set after the events of the upcoming SONY film of the same name. Fans can check out the WORLD PREMIERE EXCLUSIVE TRAILER for The Amazing Spider-Man video game during Spike TV’s Video Game Awards, airing live on Saturday, December 10 at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT.

New Auto Club Revolution Content Update Screens

Eutechnyx has released a ton of new screenshots from the Closed Beta Test phase of free-to-play online racing game and car community, Auto Club Revolution. Available today, the update includes 14 new cars to drive, 3 new race tracks and sees the introduction of the performance upgrade shop.

Executive Producer, Doug Wolff said, “The core philosophy of Auto Club Revolution’s design is the ability to allow players to customise their experience, so the release of the performance upgrade shop into the closed beta is particularly exciting for the team.  In addition to the release of this feature, we’ve also unveiled more new cars and tracks which allows us to expand the scale of this phase of the beta test.”

X3: Albion Prelude to be Released in One Week

Deep Silver and Egosoft have, in a surprise announcement, said that “X3: Albion Prelude”, the bridge between the “old X Universe and new X Universe”, will be released on December 15th, 2011 for Windows PCs. It will also be released on Mac PCs sometime after.

RAGE Demo Now Out on the PSN

Bethesda Softworks has announced that the demo for their popular shooter, RAGE, is now available on the PlayStation Network in North America and will hit European PSN customers later today.

Turtle Beach is the Official Headset of the VGAs

Turtle Beach has announced that they have been named the “Official Headset of Spike TV’s 2011 Video Game Awards”. The Video Game Awards airs on Spike TV this Saturday – December 10th, 2011. Turtle Beach and its products will be integrated into all the category nominee pages that tie back to gaming audio. These include Best Song in a Game, Best Shooter and Best Original Score.

“The Spike TV Video Game Awards showcases the best and the brightest advancements of the gaming industry,” said Bob Picunko, Turtle Beach’s Chief Marketing Officer. “As audio plays an increasingly important role in video games, from game audio design and soundtracks, to communication during online play, it was natural that as a gaming audio pioneer, Turtle Beach would support the recognition of the industry’s best.”
