Pillars of Eternity: Lords of the Eastern Reach Card Game Announced

IRVINE, CA –May 28, 2015 ­­– Obsidian Entertainment, the developer of Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and the Kickstarter funded Pillars of Eternity, announced today they are entering into a partnership with Zero Radius Games to launch the upcoming card game, Pillars of Eternity – Lords of the Eastern Reach.

Developed by Zero Radius Games, Pillars of Eternity – Lords of the Eastern Reach, is a multi-player card game designed by veteran game designer Chris Taylor (Lead Designer Fallout 1) along with Obsidian’s own Scott Everts and John Lewis.  Featuring characters, locations, and items from the popular Pillars of Eternity computer RPG,Lords of the Eastern Reach if a fast competitive game set in the unique world of Eora.

“We are hugely excited to bring Pillars of Eternity to board and card gamers like us” said CEO Feargus Urquhart.  “Using Kickstarter to fund the Pillars of Eternity computer game has allowed us not only to deliver an amazing electronic experience, but now let’s us expand the Pillars of Eternity universe with new and different games.”

EA Sports FIFA 16 to Feature 12 Women’s National Teams

(NASDAQ: EA) today announced that EA SPORTS™ FIFA 16 will feature 12 Women’s National Teams for the first time in franchise history when it launches starting on September 22, 2015 in North America. Women’s National Teams from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America will all represent their respective federations in several FIFA 16 game modes including Kick Off, an Offline Tournament, as well as Online* Friendly Matches. From all new player movement and likeness, to realistic animations and attributes, the FIFA development team have authentically recreated 12 of the top-ranked teams in the world. Capturing all new player movement was done with meticulous detail and supported by a motion capture session at EA Canada with four top players from United States Women’s National Team:  Sydney Leroux, Abby Wambach, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe. The players’ movements helped to build new locomotion for women in FIFA 16 including new walks, runs, sprints, and horizontal movement. Soccer Canada also visited EA to provide full-player references captured using the 360 degree body scanning rig – the references were then used to develop new player models. And the mobile headscanning unit travelled to a variety of tournaments and events around the world to capture facial features including hairstyles to ensure players look as realistic as possible inFIFA 16. Players in the game will look and move in game like they do on the pitch when representing their country.

“I honestly can’t believe all of the science and technology behind the game itself, let alone getting us into the motion capture suits and eventually into the game,” said Abby Wambach, world record holder for International goals scored and forward, United States Women’s National Team. “We’re all excited to see ourselves in the game, but even more excited to see the reaction from all of the fans, including the fans of our team that maybe wouldn’t be expecting something like this from EA SPORTS.”

Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Studios today unveiled the Mad Max Savage Road Trailer, showing Max who is left for dead as his cherished Interceptor is stolen by the merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus and his warboys. Max must rebuild a powerful new war machine to escape the deadly Wasteland and can only do that with the aid of his quirky sidekick and expert mechanic, Chumbucket. Mad Max will be released on Sept. 1, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Remastered Resident Evil 0 Announced #ResidentEvil

Capcom has announced via video that Resident Evil 0, a remastered version of the popular prequel to the original title in the Resident Evil series, is currently in development. The game is planned for release on PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC in early 2016.

The Great Horror Campout Announces June 5 and June 6 Event Details

The 12-hour, overnight, interactive “choose your own adventure” horror camping experience will return bigger than ever with all new creatures and features. Compete for the coveted title of “Hellmaster” in this year’s all new immersive Hell Hunt, where SCAG (Shit Campers All Get) will be rewarded rather than found. Face the hordes of monsters, solve puzzles and compete in physical challenges in order to stay in the game. Expect to get entombed in a mass grave, be the hunter and/or the hunted in the latest evolution of Blood Tag.  Prepare to use creative thinking and problem solving to survive the night and much more.

This year, the “Game has Changed,” as campers will receive a superpower based on four stereotypical horror archetypes: the Jock, who will receive physical advantages; the Nerd, who gains intellectual help; the Cheerleader who’s been endowed with distraction abilities; and the Virgin, who possesses survival skills.

The Great Horror Campout offers campers a choice to sleep in two- or four-person tents.  Campers can choose their level of engagement when they choose their activities and tent zone.  The experience can be an extreme horror adventure or a more mild horror adventure based on preference.

“Campers can turn down the level of scare by booking in the Yellow Tent Section, the Chicken Zone, which is a safe zone.  They can venture out into the activities and challenges and turn up the volume on the experience by engaging in the more extreme activities or continue to play it safe with the safe zone activities.  And when all else fails, any camper can use the safe phrase “I want my mommy” to stop the action at any time,” says Carbone.
