New Game+ Expo Digital Showcase Announced

May 20, 2020 – New Game+ Expo (NGPX), a collaborative initiative of 14 video game publishers based in North America and Japan, will host a digital presentation featuring dozens of games that includes new title announcements and live gameplay demos.

The showcase will be featured live exclusively on Twitch on June 23, 2020 at 8 AM PDT (5 PM CEST). A live broadcast will run from 9 AM to 4 PM PDT (6 PM to 1 AM CEST) featuring first looks, Q&A, and more on the NGPX Twitch channel. The full showcase, along with trailers and highlights, will be available to view after the livestream on NGPX’s YouTube channel.

“New Game+ Expo is a grassroots coalition of publishers and developers,” said Adam Johnson, producer of NGPX. “Organizing together for the first time, we hope fans have fun as we take a look at the combined upcoming lineup of games for 2020 and beyond!”

Phantasy Star Online 2 Gets North American Release Date

Tokyo, May 19, 2020 – SEGA announced today that their massively popular online action RPG from Japan, Phantasy Star Online 2, is coming to PC on the Microsoft Store. The free-to-play game will arrive for Windows 10 on May 27th in North America.

ARKS (soldiers of the Oracle colony fleet in the Phantasy Star Online 2 series) are invited to join together online to explore numerous worlds with friends and experience PSO2’s unparalleled action combat and character customization. Choosing from four unique races and nine classes, players can join forces with up to eleven other operatives at a time to experience unforgettable battles and boss fights.

“We’re thrilled to announce the long-awaited arrival on PC,” said Fred White, PSO2 TEAM North America’s Head of Marketing. “There’s a loud and passionate PC fanbase who has been patiently waiting for the North American version – we can’t wait to welcome them in. There will be login bonuses waiting for them with more surprises planned in the coming months.”

The North American version of Phantasy Star Online 2 includes fully localized text and character voices in English, spanning three years of content. In addition to the immersive original PSO2 story, the NA version also features the most-up-to-date balancing and quality-of-life improvements from the Japanese service. Players can choose from four races and nine classes while tackling various missions. They can also take a break from questing by playing one of the many Casino mini-games, chilling in the Alliance Quarters, competing in the new ARKS League or attending all-new live stage events. And for the first time they will be able to do all of this with friends on both PC and Xbox One thanks to cross-platform play.

SEGA also announced Phantasy Star Online 2’s first in-game collaboration to come to North America – Hatsune Miku! Special items are available starting today on Xbox One in the Scratch Ticket Terminal. Players can use Arks Cash Scratch Tickets to get stylish clothing and accessories. This AC Scratch features collaboration items from Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, as well as Kagamine Rin & Len. Represent at the main stage like never before with these unique outfits and get ready for the vocaloid performance of a lifetime!

Lesquin, France, May 18, 2020 – After revealing the new first-person camera and all teams available in the cycling simulation Tour de France 2020, NACON and Cyanide are pleased to unveil the new Time-Trial mode. This mode has been completely redesigned, something the developers have wanted to do for a long time after requests from players. The new mode features an actual time-trial stage of the real Tour de France, which has been delayed until the end of summer.

Achieving a good time in a time-trial stage requires excellent stamina management. Cyanide took this into account and included it in Tour de France 2020 with the ability to adopt a time-trial position: with your forearms resting on the bar extensions, you reduce air resistance and gain speed without increasing effort, at the expense of control of the bike. Watch out for tight turns, pick up speed by switching back to a classic stance and gain a few hundredths of a second to take first place!

With this time-trial position, you can also activate effort control. Adjust it correctly without overestimating your pace; otherwise you could end up exhausted too early.

In addition to the time-trial position, Tour de France 2020 lets you take an aerodynamic stance. Mostly useful while going down slopes, you’ll be able to rest a little and restore your stamina.

Multiple improvements and new features have been added to Tour de France 2020, including:

Liège-Bastogne-Liège (“The Old Lady”), a 266km race of steep climbs
A redesigned interface that provides better anticipation of the course and position of competitors
A deeper time-trial where posture and sprint management are crucial for success
A more realistic AI that grabs any attack opportunity

Tour de France 2020 will be available on June 4, 2020 on consoles (PlayStation®4 and Xbox One), and later on PC.

Players strategically place negotiator chips between the cards they want, using their alignment and position to determine who has the most influence over a desired card. Once all negotiators and tokens are placed, influence is calculated and the winners of each card are determined.

Each card represents a different component of the ark – modules and personnel – and players will find unique synergies between cards. Heavy Duty Challenge is a non-racing but heavily competitive motorsport game inspired by Europa Truck Trial Motorsport Championships. This real-life event with huge trucks and over 30-years of tradition is now taking place via the Internet for the first time in history due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Developers from Nano Games took this very seriously and are working to make Heavy Duty Challenge the best possible reflection of Europa Truck Trial.
