Microsoft and Bungie have released a live action trailer for their upcoming HALO ODST which blew my socks right off. As if this was not enough, you can see an extended, two minutes and 30 seconds version of the short on September 7th at 10:30 PM ET/PT on SPIKE TV during Band of Brothers.

The much talked-about faction transfer service in World of Warcraft has gone live. For a scant $30 dollars, you can take your Horde character to the Alliance or vice versa. In our recent interview with World of Warcraft’s Greg Street, he told us that players would have to swicth races to one that had their class available if their current race/class combo was not allowed by the new faction.

The website for Funcom’s upcoming MMO, The Secret World, was just updated with a test to see what secret society you would be best suited for. It asks you a series of cryptic questions and then selects you as best for the Templar, Dragon, or Illuminati. After this, you can opt to be one of the three no matter your recommended results and also sign up to possibly win beta access as well as some other goodies.

Activision has released a new trailer for their newly-released Guitar Hero 5 featuring some skydiving would-be rockers. GH5 features over 80 tracks in the box as well as the ability to import your previous Guitar Hero game tracks. In case you dont have any of those games anymore, take heart, you can also purchase some of the over 150 downloadable tracks for the game as well. Thats a lot of rockin’.
Capcom has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Nintendo Wii title, Spyborgs. Due out on September 22nd the game promises fast and frenetic beat ’em up combat with cyborg secret agents. Spyborgs allows players to choose one of three characters for each of the game’s levels and supports two-player coop play.
505 Games and 1C Company have released the launch trailer to their upcoming console flight combat title, IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. The game is due out on September 8th on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Sony Online Entertainment has released some new screenshots from their upcoming super-hero MMO, DC Universe Online, showing the Green Lantern in action. DCUO technically has no set release date at the moment, although certain gaming retailers (such as Play.com) are listing it as coming out April 1st of 2010 on the PC and PS3 platforms.

Mark February 9th on your calendars, boys and girls, as Electronic Arts and the Dante Team have released the official release date trailer for the upcoming Dante’s Inferno. Okay, so the video says February 12th – pay no attention to that date, its for the Europeans. North Americans get it on February 9th.
Activision has released two new screenshots from their upcoming Guitar Hero 5 featuring the virtual representation of the late Kurt Cobain. Cobain, in case you are not aware, was the lead singer of the legendary grunge band: Nirvana. Guitar Hero 5 has a release date of September 1st in North America and September 11th in Europe.

Electronic Arts has released the new ‘Road America’ trailer as well as a bunch of screenshots showing off the various cars from their upcoming Need for Speed Shift. The game is due out September 22nd for all major platforms.
