Sumthing Else Music Works has announced it will be bringing the soundtrack to Microsoft and Bungie’s Halo: ODST to retail outlets on September 22nd. In addition, the 2-CD soundtrack will be available on Sumthing Else Music Works’ online store, SumthingDigital as well as the iTunes Music Store.

Funcom has announced a deal with Geometrics to use their ‘Enlighten’ real-time lighting engine inside both MMOs: the Age of Conan and The Secret World. Enlighten allows lighting elements to be rendered in real-time as opposed to more traditional ‘pre-baked’ elements.

EA Sports has released the demo for their upcoming NBA LIVE 10 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Gold Members. If you are a Silver Member or Playstation 3 gamer, expect the demo on September 17th.
In the NBA LIVE 10 demo, players will choose either the Orlando Magic or LA Lakers in last year’s biggest NBA Final’s game. NBA LIVE 10 is expected to release on October 6th.
Activision has released the launch trailer for their upcoming Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. The game is due out September 15th and puts players in control of their favorite Marvel characters through both the Secret War and Civil War story plots.
Bethesda Softworks has released four new screenshots from their upcoming first-person shooter, BRINK. BRINK is due out in the Spring of 2010 and will feature coop and story gameplay modes. The game puts players on a small man-made structure in the middle of the ocean – the last place on Earth fit for human survival, if they don’t kill each other first.

Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for their upcoming Need for Speed Shift showing off the Renault Megane. The game is due out on September 15th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and mobile platforms.
Remember the live-action Halo: ODST trailer from the other day? Well, Microsoft and Bungie have released the full-length version for your drooling entertainment! It features a minute of additional footage well-worth the viewing.
While at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo, Activision released eight new screenshots from their upcoming racer: BLUR. BLUR is scheduled to release on November 3rd for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 platforms.

And the title for best trailer this week keeps getting passed around like a cheap hooker but, this time, I think we have found a winner! Microsoft and Bungie have released a live action trailer for their upcoming HALO ODST which blew my socks right off. As if this was not enough, you can see an extended, two minutes and 30 seconds version of the short on September 7th at 10:30 PM ET/PT on SPIKE TV during Band of Brothers.
The much talked-about faction transfer service in World of Warcraft has gone live. For a scant $30 dollars, you can take your Horde character to the Alliance or vice versa. In our recent interview with World of Warcraft’s Greg Street, he told us that players would have to swicth races to one that had their class available if their current race/class combo was not allowed by the new faction.
