Gotham City Imposters Announced

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced Gotham City Imposters, an upcoming FPS for the XBLA, Windows PC, and PSN platforms where players take on the role of an amateur vigilante or villain in a Gotham City overrun by imposters of Batman and the Joker.

“Gotham City Impostors blows apart expectations for superhero games with an exaggerated take on first person shooters, set in a part of the DC Universe players have never seen before,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Monolith is creating a game that turns Gotham City upside down and we think fans are going to have a blast with this creative twist on multiplayer heroism and anti-heroism as they play up the classic rivalry between Batman and The Joker.”

You can expect to see more of Gotham City Imposters at this year’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles.

Gears of War 3 Limited and Epic Editions Revealed

Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios have released the official Limited and Epic editions of their upcoming FPS, Gears of War 3. Including numerous extras such as a COG flag, art books, and more the two editions will retail for $79.99 and $149.99, respectively.

Franchise & Superstar Modes for Madden NFL 12 Revealed

EA Sports has revealed the new Franchise and Superstar modes for their upcoming Madden NFL 12. Franchise mode will see players take on the role of a team manager with the abilities to create their own rosters, trade and pick up players in the draft, scout rookies, not to mention numerous other options such as realistic injury frequency and an all-new salary system.

Superstar mode will allow players to take on the role of their very own NFL superstar as their career grows in the league. This new incarnation of Superstar mode will feature an all-new trait system, allow players to request trades, and even assign skill points to their character’s progression. Madden NFL 12 is due out August 30, 2011.

Unlock Exclusive Content for Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Facebook

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have announced a new program where they will unlock exclusive content based on the number of Facebook likes their profile gets. The content will include wallpapers, screenshots, icons, avatars, and more.

“Deus Ex has one of the most passionate, vocal and dedicated communities in all of video games, so offering a program that rewards that loyalty — even before the game is released — is a great way for us to give something back,” said Kyle Stallock, Community Manager, Eidos-Montreal.  “The Facebook community now has significant control over the release schedule for some of our favorite assets.  We have a ton of surprises and unlockables planned, so fans should invite their friends to ‘Like’ the page and start collecting these rewards.”

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is due out on August 23rd for the Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms.

Set in the rarely explored period of 1975-1985, Wargame: European Escalation pits NATO (USA and Western Europe) against the Warsaw Pact (Soviet and Eastern European countries) in battles that explore “what could have been.” The specter of nuclear warfare loomed large over the real Cold War, but this catastrophic outcome was the ultimate last resort as everyone knew that the first one to start nuclear hostilities would end up wiped out just the same. Large, armored offensives through Europe would certainly have been the core of this hypothetical war; and this is what the game’s explosive campaign takes you through!
