Razer Unveils New Orochi Mouse at IFA 2015

razer-orochi-2015

BERLIN (IFA), Germany – Razer™, a world leader in connected devices and software for gamers, today announced the complete re-design of the popular Razer Orochi notebook gaming mouse. The Razer Orochi features the world’s most precise mouse sensor for on-the-go gaming.
Retaining the name of its predecessor, the new Razer Orochi features the latest in sensor and battery technology to give gamers pinpoint accuracy and more than double the playing time in wireless mode. Complimenting this overhaul, Razer has also added Chroma lighting, dual mode connectivity and a completely re-engineered shell.

At the heart of the new Razer Orochi is a 4G, 8200 DPI laser sensor – the highest DPI sensor ever fit into a mobile gaming mouse. The result is pinpoint tracking for incredible accuracy and movement speeds of up to 210 inches per second with 50 G acceleration, making the Razer Orochi ideal for every game and play style, from fast reaction FPS gameplay to high-accuracy MOBAs.

By utilizing the latest in Bluetooth Low Energy technology, the new Razer Orochi has more than double the battery life with over 60 hours of continuous gaming use – or 7 months of normal use – from a single charge. It is ideal for wireless notebook use with a polling rate of 125 Hz, which increases to 1000 Hz when used in wired mode.

“With the recent advances in sensor and Bluetooth technology, it was time for us to bring the Orochi up to date, which involved a complete redesign of the entire mouse,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “We’ve retained the portable form factor and added rubberized side grips, but on the inside is where the big changes have happened. This is a whole new feature-packed mobile gaming mouse.”

The new Razer Orochi also features Razer’s industry leading Chroma lighting, giving users the choice of 16.8 million color options with which to customize their mouse. As with previous Chroma products, customizing the Razer Orochi is achieved within seconds through Razer Synapse, Razer’s cloud-based hardware configurator. The new Razer Orochi’s Chroma lighting effects are able to sync across other Razer Chroma peripherals, which include keyboards, a headset and a mouse mat.

By connecting the Razer Orochi with Razer Synapse, users are able to customize their lighting settings, calibrate their Razer Orochi to the surface they are using, assign macros and functions to the seven mouse buttons, and save all their settings to the cloud for use no matter where they are.

Phillips Showcases New Monitors at IFA 2015

phillips-curved

Amsterdam, September 4, 2015 – MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, is raising the stakes in display performance and clarity at IFA 2015. Visitors who want a one-stop encounter with display innovations for professional and leisure applications should make the Philips stand in Hall 22 a highlight on their tour of the event. IFA 2015 takes place from 4 to 9 September in Berlin.

One standout highlight is the new curved monitor, a Philips display first. This 34-inch display wraps around the user’s line of vision to create a truly immersive, focused experience. By placing the user at the center of the action, it creates more personal space and provides total focus on the task in hand. The edge-to-edge glass and ultra-narrow border enhance this seamless appearance and maximize the viewing area. Visuals are razor-sharp, thanks to the CrystalClear, UltraWide Quad HD resolution (3440 x 1440), AH-IPS LCD technology and a wide viewing angle to bring graphics and images to life.

Sound quality is equally amazing. Through accurate placement of audio cues, the display’s DTS Sound technology elevates the playback quality of music, movies, streaming and games to new levels. Users enjoy an immersive virtual surround sound experience, complete with rich bass and dialog enhancement and maximized volume levels free of any clipping or distortion.

Also on show is the new Philips 27-inch LCD monitor with UltraClear 5K resolution. With 14.7 million pixels (5,120 x 2,880), the latest 5K resolution technology packs four times more content per screen inch than Quad HD resolution, for more dazzling visuals than ever. The new display is also equipped with PerfectKolor Technology, which ensures factory-calibrated 99% AdobeRGB colour space and one billion colors. As well as brilliant color and resolution, the display is thoughtfully engineered to fit the way people work, with webcam, MultiView for dividing the display space into multiple partitions, built-in speakers for great sound, as well as a non-glare screen and Flicker-Free technology for reduced eye fatigue.

Taking color intensity to the max, a new 27-inch IPS-ADS Adobe RGB display with Quantum Dot Color IQ™ is also premiered at IFA 2015. This transformative technology delivers over 50% more color than traditional LEDs. It is also more affordable, costing a fraction of most color-critical technologies, and more energy-efficient: Quantum Dot Color IQ uses 25% less energy than comparable technologies.

IFA 2015 marks the European debut appearance of the Ambiglow Plus Base. Ambiglow technology creates a halo of light on and around the base that syncs with the display image to create a more immersive viewing experience. The light is still available even when the display is off so users can adjust color and brightness to create a unique room ambience. It is also possible to set the timer to wake up or fall asleep with light of a chosen color.

MMD is also rolling out its innovative SoftBlue technology to a 24-inch display, which will be on show at IFA 2015. SoftBlue technology protects eyes and reduces eye fatigue by mitigating the impact of blue-light exposure. It does this by eliminating blue light emissions at potentially harmful wavelengths, but without sacrificing the fidelity and quality of the original color. Users therefore enjoy well-being for their eyes as well as professional-grade color fidelity.

MMD will be showcasing these Philips displays and innovations at the Philips stand in Hall 22. Visitors will have plenty of opportunity to test the monitors and experience the viewing quality for themselves.

Burbank, Calif. – Sept. 1, 2015 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that Mad Max, the open world, third-person action game developed by Avalanche Studios and set in a post-apocalyptic setting, is now available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC.

The Mad Max video game introduces an original story set within the universe of Mad Max and features deep car customization that impacts its handling, metal-grinding vehicular action and gives players a vast arsenal of mobile weaponry within The Wasteland. Players become Max, the lone warrior who must fight to stay alive by engaging in vicious on-ground fighting, as well as physics-based vehicular combat, against savage factions who are fighting for domination and survival in this gritty, dynamic open-world.

“Mad Max is an iconic character, recently re-introduced to the world by the latest film, and now we’re introducing a new way for fans and gamers to experience the adventure-filled Wasteland universe in which he lives,” said Peter Wyse, Vice President, Group General Manager, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Gamers must endure the open-world, post-apocalyptic environment that features a huge variety of encounters in a host of different locations throughout The Wasteland, many of them remnants of the world before the apocalypse. Players brave the treacherous landscapes, hostile weather patterns and deadly marauders, while accumulating Max’s equipment and weapons to survive by combining melee combat, gunplay and tactical techniques.

Mad Max is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. For more information, visit www.madmaxgame.com, Facebook.com/MadMaxGame and Twitter.com/MadMaxGame.
