Big things come in small packages for World of Tanks Console as Toy Tanks Mode returns

Christmas comes early for World of Tanks Console with the return of Toy Tank Mode. Kicking off December 22 until January 1, players will be transported into a miniature festive wonderland, where they can discover tons of bonuses in addition to naughty or nice loot drops and can even claim a free tank from the recently released Swedish line.

Starting December 13, there are tons of festive treats waiting for players, including Tanksmas Challenge Earn Ops and 12 Days of Tanksmas operations to get even more presents or grab one of the various Tanksmas Bundles available.

World of Tanks Blitz gets festive with Blitz Fair

One of the biggest game events in the history of World of Tanks Blitz is back: Blitz Fair. Split into two stages, the first part takes place in-game, where players can earn awards and Tickets for completing tasks, which they can then use in the fair to get awesome rewards.

The second stage takes place on the World of Tanks Blitz portal. There is a ton of stuff to do including an auction with rare items—some available only once or twice in the game’s history. So don’t miss your chance to get the IS-3 Defender and other unique tanks this holiday season.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Out Now

December 14, 2017 – Dome wasn’t built in a day, but today Paradox and Haemimont have new details about the progress being made in Surviving Mars, the colony-builder-survival game coming out next year. Mountain High Announces Santa Sunday Fundraiser Event

Wrightwood, Calif. – Dec. 13, 2017 – Skiers and snowboarders dressed in Santa Claus costumes are invited to Mountain High on Sunday, December 17 to participate in the third annual Santa Sunday. This holiday event serves as a fundraiser for Protect Our Winters (POW), a climate change advocacy group for the snow sports community.

“We created Santa Sunday two years ago to raise awareness and funds for Protect Our Winters, a cause that’s deeply personal to all of us here,” said John McColly, Mountain High chief marketing officer. “Climate change continues to have a significant impact on winter resorts and we are doing what we can to help.”

Protect Our Winters, a nonprofit charity, seeks to engage and mobilize the snow sports community to lead the fight against climate change through educational initiatives, advocacy and community-based activism.

“We’re very happy to be part of this event for the third-consecutive year,” said Torrey Udall, Protect Our Winters managing director. “Aside from creating a lot of holiday cheer, it provides us with resources to protect the winter season that we all depend on. We are thankful to Mountain High for supporting us with this Christmas time fundraiser.”

To take part in Santa Sunday, guests are asked to pre-register for the event and donate a minimum of $20 to Protect Our Winters. Quantities are limited to the first 100 Santas. Receipts for online donation must be presented at registration to claim a day ticket (an 8-hour ticket is regularly $79).

Once a skier or snowboarder has successfully registered, including making his/her donation, that participant must wear a Santa suit complete with hat, beard, coat, belt and pants to Mountain High on December 17. Participants must pick up their tickets, sign liability forms and be at the Snowflake chairlift at 9:15 a.m. to participate in the Santa Sunday group ride.

Santa Sunday Schedule:

  •          8:00 a.m. – Arrive early, pick up ticket in Big Pines base lodge. Bring POW donation receipt, photo ID and completed Santa liability form.
  •          9:15 a.m. – Meet at the bottom of Snowflake chairlift for photos
  •          10:00 a.m. – Meet at the bottom of Blue Ridge Express for Santa Sunday group ride

Star Wars Battlefront II The Last Jedi Season Released

The Game Awards 2017 Triples Viewership

December 13, 2017 – Building on its success as a fully distributed, all digital awards show, The Game Awards today announced that its 2017 broadcast tripled its viewership to over 11.5 million global livestreams, up 202% from 2016’s record-setting performance of 3.8 million livestreams. Airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 7, The Game Awards posted significant increases in live viewership and engagement across all key distribution platforms.

“We are thrilled by the viewership, engagement and reaction to The Game Awards this year,” said Geoff Keighley, executive producer. “With triple-digit viewership gains across the board, plus record setting social media metrics, one thing is clear: video games and gamers continue to grow in importance and prominence on the pop culture landscape.”

On social platforms, The Game Awards posted double and triple digit gains in engagement – including on Twitter, where the number of people tweeting about Game Awards related-content doubled year over year, with #TheGameAwards hashtag usage up 2.7x compared to 2016 (Source: Twitter). This year, new interactive elements helped increase live engagement during the broadcast. On Twitch, The Game Awards Extension gave viewers a chance to interact with the show and predict winners in all the main show category. More than 70% of the Twitch audience interacted with the extension. On Steam, a “Game Awards Game Giveaway” during the live show helped drive record-setting live stream numbers, including an average watch time of 70 minutes per Steam viewer.

The Game Awards 2017 featured highlight moments such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild winning Game of the Year, pioneering female game designer Carol Shaw receiving the Industry Icon Award, and the world premiere of a new trailer for Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus’ new collaboration, Death Stranding. New game announcements included Bayonetta 3 from Nintendo and Platinum Games; From Software’s next project; In the Valley of Gods from Campo Santo; Soul Calibur VI from Bandai Namco; Witchfire from The Astronauts; GTFO from 10 Chambers Collective and more. The Game Awards aired globally across a record number of screens and digital platforms including Facebook Live, GameSpot, IGN, KakaoTV (South Korea), Live.Playstation, Mixer, NicoNico (Japan) PlayStation Store, Steam, Tencent (China) Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube in 4K UHD.

Specific viewership highlights include:

Titan Quest Announced for All Current-Gen Consoles in 2018
