Disney Music Emporium Returns to D23 Expo 2019

BURBANK, Calif., June 20, 2019 – Disney Music Emporium, the online destination for collectible Disney music products, returns to D23 Expo 2019 with a pop-up store on the show floor. Over the three-day Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the Emporium will feature album signings by artists and award-winning composers. Limited quantities of a wide assortment of music products will be available, including new releases from Marvel and Lucasfilm, vinyl albums, die-cut picture disc vinyl, cassettes, Crosley turntables, cassette players, posters, and more. Album signings at the Disney Music Emporium shop include Oscar®- and Grammy®-winning composer and Disney Legend Randy Newman (Toy Story films, The Princess and the Frog, Cars films); composer Tyler Bates (Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1); actor Anthony Gonzalez (voice of Miguel from Coco); singer-songwriter, actor, and dancer Matthew Morrison (Glee); plus Hollywood Records artist JD McCrary (voice of young Simba in The Lion King). Randy Thornton, Disney Music Group’s Supervising Producer and Music Historian, will present “Great Moments with Walt Disney,” on Friday, August 23, at the Archives Stage from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Grammy-winning producer will present audio recordings of Walt Disney as he recalls developing the first cartoon with synchronized sound, creating Disney’s first hit song, and meeting Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Arma 3 Contact Sandbox Trailer

June 20, 2019 – Following its reveal in May, Bohemia Interactive today published a brand-new trailer (watch on YouTube) for the anticipated upcoming Arma 3 spin-off expansion, Arma 3 Contact – which is scheduled for arrival on Steam on July 25, 2019.

Narrated by Game Designer Scott Alsworth, the new trailer goes beyond Arma 3 Contact’s extraterrestrial components – such as its military science fiction singleplayer campaign – to present a showcase of all the other sandbox assets that the Contact expansion will deliver to the wider Arma 3 platform, including a massive terrain, new factions, weapons, vehicles, and more.

The largest addition is a 163 square kilometer Eastern European terrain, which covers the partly abandoned Nadbór region within the larger Polish-speaking country of Livonia. This temperate summer environment is characterized by its many coniferous forests, open wheat fields, towns, railroads, the Biela river, and many interesting landmarks such as an old munitions factory, an abandoned radar station, and dozens of old bunkers from World War II.

To support the new locale, Arma 3 Contact will introduce two small-yet-capable new factions to the game. These are the local Livonian Defense Force and the Russian Spetsnaz. Each of these will be equipped with their own gear and have access to a customized arsenal, and will be complemented by new character faces, as well as Polish or Russian radio protocols. Moreover, the expansion will add 5 new weapons and an unlikely pair of new vehicles in the form of the Mini UGV and Tractor.

In response to first contact, there will also be various new game assets that are more closely connected to the theme of Arma 3 Conta ct ’s singleplayer campaign. These might have scripted gameplay functionality within the campaign, but will still be available as cosmetic-only items to players and content creators for use in the Arma 3 sandbox (e.g. multiplayer and scenario editor). Perhaps the most striking of these additions is the gear related to CBRN defense, consisting of over-garments, face masks, and breathing apparatus backpacks.

Lastly, Arma 3 Contact will bring along a variety of free bonus content for everyone who owns Arma 3. Specifically, NATO forces will be able to make use of a new woodland camouflage option providing better concealment in the Livonia terrain. Meanwhile, the local civilian population will see its wardrobe expanded with new outfits for farmers, looters, and scientists. To reinforce content creation, all Arma 3 players will receive more than 100 new terrain assets and decorative objects to use in their projects.

Not shown in this sandbox trailer is the headline act of the spin-off expansion: the story-driven “First Contact” singleplayer campaign. Here, the player will take on the role of NATO drone operator, Aiden Rudwell. When a massive alien vessel suddenly enters the Earth’s atmosphere, Specialist Rudwell joins an improvised taskforce and is sent out to investigate the extraterrestrial presence. However, amid the tension and chaos, armed conflict inevitably unfolds.

Arma 3 Contact is expected to land on July 25 and will be made available as DLC for Arma 3 on Steam. People can already pre-order the expansion on Steam and the Bohemia Store for 24.99 EUR / 27.99 USD / 21.99 GBP (plus a temporary 10% discount until one week after release). This will also grant them immediate Sneak Preview Access to the new Livonia terrain, weapons, and more.

Those who are new to Arma 3 might want to get the Arma 3 Contact Edition or the recently introduced Arma 3 Ultimate Edition, which bundle the Arma 3 base game with Arma 3 DLC at a heavily discounted price. Dead or Alive 6 World Championship Announced

Burlingame, Calif. – March 27, 2019 – KOEI TECMO America and Team NINJA are excited to announce the DEAD OR ALIVE 6 World Championship, a global esports competition with qualifiers to be held across the United States, Europe, and Asia. The competition will then conclude with the top players from each region duking it out live at the finals in Japan for the equivalent of 10 million yen (JPY) in total cash and prizes.

The global series of tournaments kicks off April 20, 2019 in Lyon, France at THE MIXUP. The series continues throughout the year as players compete to earn one of 16 total spots to the DEAD OR ALIVE 6 World Championship Finals; and for their shot to be crowned the DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Grand Champion.

By competing in the DOA6WC, players will earn ranking points based on their tournament performance, allowing them to be ranked on the official DOA6WC leaderboard. The more ranking points a player accumulates, the higher on the leaderboard they will climb. At the end of the tournament circuit, 16 fighters will advance to the finals. There will be 11 placements from the three regional leaderboards; with the top five from the U.S., top three from Asia, and top three from Europe advancing to the finals. Of the five remaining qualifying spots, three will be granted to the winners of offline Fatal Match events, while the final two spots will be up for grabs at the DOA6WC Last Chance Qualifier – hosted at the DEAD OR ALIVE Festival 2019.

Universal Studios Adds Second Day to Universal 5K Minion Run

Universal City, CA, March 13, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood adds a second day to its popular Running Universal 5K Minion Run due to registration sell out on Saturday, May 11, offering fitness buffs, runners and walkers alike another chance to partake in the fun on Sunday, May 12.

The inaugural Minion Run, featuring Illumination’s mischievous Minions from the popular “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” ride cheering from the side lines, invites participants ages five and older (of all experience levels) to wind their way around Universal Studios Hollywood and through parts of Universal Studios’ historic backlot, made famous in more than 8,000 movies and television shows. The Minion Run will give participants an unprecedented insider’s view of the world renowned movie and television production lot.

Starting at Universal Studios Hollywood’s iconic front gates, participants will pass through some of the theme park’s immersive areas and attractions before winding their way along the historic backlot and into the magical world of movie-making as they head toward the finish line at CityWalk’s 5 Towers outdoor concert stage. Highlights along the way include the Psycho House, the eerie War of the Worlds set and the colorful Who-ville backdrop from Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Along the 3.1 mile course, participants will be entertained by some of their favorite Universal Studios Hollywood characters, including the Minions.

World of Warships Getting British Carriers

February 27, 2019 – Following up on recent relaunch of the aircraft carrier line of naval ships in World of Warships, Wargaming is pleased to announce that British aircraft carriers will be added to the game, expanding upon the currently available US and Japanese Carrier lines!

Starting February 27 with the launch of Update 0.8.1, three Royal navy aircraft carriers enter the fray through early access. Mighty tier IV Hermes, tier VI Furious, and tier VIII Implacable will be made available upon completing new missions and Directives of the “Fly! Strike! Win!” in-game event. A full release of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier branch will follow in the next month’s patch update.

British planes come with generous HP, which allows more daring attacks against ships with strong AA defenses. And while these aircrafts are somewhat slower than the American and Japanese naval planes, they pack more of a wallop, thanks to extra rockets and high-level bombs, that makes them unique in this class.

Additionally, from February 28 to March 14, players who log in each day will receive free Air Supply containers in World of Warships. These containers include — Naval Aviation collection, camos, signal flags, resources, and combat missions that can help players earn additional ships.

Trials Rising Launch Trailer

G.I. Joe Shoe Line Announced by HASBRO and ASICS

(PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Feb. 22, 2019) – Global play and entertainment group Hasbro Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) today announced a collaboration with footwear brand ASICS to create all-new colorways inspired by two fan-favorite G.I. Joe characters: Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. The special edition GEL-LYTE III® shoes and coordinating apparel and accessories from New Era and Hex will be available exclusively at Foot Locker (NYSE: FL) stores worldwide February 22, 2019.

The line is inspired by an epic chapter in the G.I. Joe lore: the rivalry between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. Once brothers in arms as part of the Arashikage Clan, they find themselves on opposing sides of the struggle between G.I. Joe and Cobra. Now Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes each adorn their own GEL-LYTE® III shoe designed by world renowned pop artist Anderson Bluu.
