Duesseldorf, December 9, 2019 – Virtual fishers who are already looking forward to head to the Barents Sea on their PlayStation®4 and Xbox One need a little bit more patience: Because of short-term technical issues astragon and Misc Games postponed the release of the Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition on these two platforms to December 13, 2019. The game for Nintendo Switch™ will still be released tomorrow.

The Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition includes the commercial fishing and ship simulation Fishing: Barents Sea which takes players to the area around the Norwegian town Hammerfest. Here they can make their dream of becoming the most successful fisherman around come true by using different ships and mastering various fishing techniques. Two DLCs which add further line and net fishing ships and the opportunity to go king crab fishing to the game as well as all content updates ever published are also part of the new edition. The Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition is the first version ever of the game which is available on consoles.

12/9/2019 – Merchants of Ofir introduces over 70 cards themed around Ofir — a mysterious and exotic land within the world of The Witcher, whose inhabitants players had the chance to interact with in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Hearts of Stone. New additions include both Neutral cards for use across all GWENT armies, as well as faction-specific ones, along with Stratagems. This new card type, when included in a deck, determines the unique bonus a player gains when going first in a match. The expansion also brings Scenarios to the battlefield — an Artifact card subtype which evolves based on player actions.

In celebration of the expansion’s launch, everyone who logs into GWENT before December 16th, 11:59 AM CET will receive a free keg, granting 5 Merchants of Ofir cards. December 9, 2019 – The Wait is Over, Witches! Sabrina Spellman is back for more Chilling Adventures January 24, announced today during a panel at Argentina Comic Con.

Part Three finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two. Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch. Sabrina can’t live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan’s watchful eye. So with an assist from her mortal friends, “The Fright Club” (consisting of Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo), Sabrina makes it her mission to free him from eternal damnation and bring him back into her arms. However, the Dark Lord’s unseating has sent shockwaves through the realms—and, with no one on the throne, Sabrina must assume the title of “Queen” to defend it against a challenger, the handsome Prince of Hell Caliban. Meanwhile, in Greendale, a mysterious carnival rolls into town, bringing with it a threat to the Spellmans and the coven: A tribe of pagans looking to resurrect an ancient evil…

December 9, 2019 – THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES 2, Coming to Netflix Holiday 2020. Santa and Mrs. Claus are back and comin’ to town! Netflix confirms that Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn will reprise their roles in The Christmas Chronicles 2 with Chris Columbus at the helm.

In the sequel to 2018’s THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES, Kate Pierce — now a cynical teenager — is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel threatens to destroy Christmas forever.

Also returning are Darby Camp as Kate, Kimberly Williams Paisley as Claire and Judah Lewis as Teddy. New additions to the cast include Julian Dennison as Belsnickel, and Jahzir Bruno as Jack. Chris Columbus will direct and produce, alongside Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan. The script is written by Matt Lieberman and Chris Columbus.

The film is set for a Holiday 2020 release.

Novaquark Unveils Updated Dual Universe Roadmap

Montreal, Canada – December 5, 2019 — Novaquark, developers of the upcoming sci-fi MMO ‘Dual Universe’, have released an updated roadmap to the public that highlights the next phases of their development cycle. Also released was an accompanying podcast in which the company’s CEO Jean-Christophe Baillie and staff sit down to discuss the future of the game in more detail.

Starting with the upcoming Alpha 3 update, which is slated for a January 2020 release date, the roadmap highlights some of the new and updated features coming to Dual Universe in 2020 and 2021, as well as the key milestones in the game’s development.

The fundamental gameplay tenets of Dual Universe can be broken down into six main pillars: exploration, building, economy, RPG, PvP combat, and social. With the upcoming Alpha 3 update, Novaquark will have added the latter two, thus completing the foundations for the core gameplay of Dual Universe. With Alpha 3 in player hands, Novaquark plans to focus the bulk of their attention on stabilization and polishing the user experience. “As we’re heading toward Beta, 2020 will be a critical year for us. We have to focus our priorities on making sure the gamer’s experience is as smooth as possible,” said Baillie. Among the new changes coming in January’s highly-anticipated Alpha 3 release, dubbed ‘Shattered Alliances’, are Construct-vs.-Construct PvP and introduction of player organizations, along with a host of other additional features such as surface ore gathering. While Avatar-vs.-Avatar PvP is set to be released in a later update, the team decided to focus on construct combat due to its innovation in regard to real-time voxel damage and crew-based emergent gameplay.

In a recent video, Baillie spoke candidly about the changes to the roadmap, as well as about the progress Novaquark has made so far. In 2019 alone, they released Alpha 2, a major update for Dual Universe, conducted an unprecedented 30,000 simulated player test, raised $11.2 million in additional funding, and opened up a brand new studio in Montreal. In order to continue that trend into 2020, the company felt it was imperative to update their roadmap. “We keep trying to set ourselves apart by how transparent we’ve been, and continue to be, with our core audience of players,” Baillie said.

As of right now, Dual Universe is in Alpha 2, with Alpha 3 coming in January 2020 and the first Beta expected to be released in Summer 2020. HTC Unveils VivePort Streaming and Oculus Quest Compatibility

Dec. 5, 2019 – As standalone virtual reality (VR) devices have risen in popularity over the last year, one significant challenge that remains for the industry is the ability to offer easy access to the rich library of high-quality PC VR content without being tied down by a physical wire. Today, HTC VIVE released the Beta of VIVEPORT Streaming, allowing VIVE Focus Plus or Wave Platform device owners to enjoy PC VR content on their standalone VR devices. In addition to more than 300 pieces of native Vive Wave content on Viveport today, VIVE Focus Plus owners now have access to thousands of titles on Viveport, all from within a native mobile UI.

Viveport Streaming is available for free to Viveport Infinity members with a Vive Focus Plus, and will soon support other full six-degree-of-freedom (6DoF) standalone VR devices built on the Vive Wave platform. As long as the VR device and the target VR-ready PC[1] are on the same 5GHz Wi-Fi network, the Viveport software will detect and link them automatically with a single click.
