Art the Clown Comes to Halloween Horror Nights

Welcome to the Funhouse. The twisted world of Art the Clown comes to life in this year’s all-new “Terrifier” haunted house inspired by the slasher film franchise that has consistently terrorized filmgoers since 2008.The torment kicks off at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 29 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4.

Spewing from creator, writer, director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone along with Dark Age Cinema Productions, Terrifier introduced a new slasher film series to the cinematic world, featuring Art the Clown, a supernatural entity who terrorizes the fictional town of Miles County, New York, on Halloween and tortures victims in creatively cruel and sickeningly sinister ways. The Terrifier film franchise has evolved to become three chilling and gory movies with a fourth film in development and a Halloween Horror Nights haunted house on the way.

During Halloween Horror Nights, guests will experience an unfathomable level of gore as they try to escape becoming Art the Clown’s next victim. “Terrifier” is a grisly haunted house oozing with a new sense of terror that takes guests into Art the Clown’s gruesome Funhouse, which first appeared in Terrifier 2. Guests will be overwhelmed by the sights, sounds, smells and dread of Art’s grotesque kills, gleefully displayed for all to see. As fans make their way through the claustrophobic corridors, they will encounter familiar faces, including Vicky and the Little Pale Girl, and witness iconic kills from the franchise. Chaos reigns at the Clown Café, terror festers in a revolting bathroom and holiday cheer turns deadly in a Christmas nightmare. Guests must escape Art’s twisted world—or become his next gruesome display.

The Long Walk to Take Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con and Character Posters Available Now

Lionsgate will bring The Long Walk, the highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King’s novel directed by Francis Lawrence (Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Parts 1 & 2, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, I Am Legend) to Comic-Con® on Friday, July 25th from 3 to 4 PM. The Hall H panel, moderated by Eric Vespe and Anthony Breznican, hosts of the Stephen King podcast, The Kingcast, will include film stars David Jonsson, Tut Nyuot, Garrett Wareing, Charlie Plummer, and Mark Hamill, along with producer Roy Lee and screenwriter JT Mollner.

Today, in support of the upcoming panel, Lionsgate is debuting the film’s character posters.

Raymond Garraty, #47 (Cooper Hoffman): Underneath Ray’s easygoing manner is a passionate natural leader who’s deeply empathetic. His closeness to his mother makes participation in The Long Walk a tough choice. Ray and Peter emerge as natural allies and, over time, develop a true friendship.

Peter McVries, #23 (David Jonsson): Exuding confidence, gregarious Peter McVries is an aspirational figure. With a deep well of empathy and grit, he’s the spiritual core of the group, even as he grapples with the ghosts of his past that brought him to this moment. The brotherly bond he forms with Ray is a catalyst that challenges Ray’s value system as the gruesomeness of the walk intensifies around them.

Stebbins, #38 (Garrett Wareing): Called a “fitness nut” and “Superman” before the walk begins, blond-haired, jelly sandwich-eating Stebbins seems like the one to beat to his fellow walkers. He’s strong and tall with a tough exterior and also claims he hasn’t been sick in over 10 years. Full of facts and statistics, Stebbins seems to be the poster child for The Long Walk.

Arthur Baker, #6 (Tut Nyuot): Having grown up dirt-poor, Arthur is more than ready to undergo the punishing demands of The Long Walk for a lifetime of riches and the fulfillment of his wish: to travel to the moon in a space rocket. Arthur’s drive to win is grounded by his gentle manner and religious conviction.

Gary Barkovitch, #5 (Charlie Plummer): The self-appointed agitator of the group, Gary Barkovitch has a strategy to mercilessly taunt his co-competitors, while using his own camera to capture The Long Walk experience from the inside. But cracks start to appear in Barkovitch’s aggressive front after he’s targeted with his contempt and ridicule.

Hank Olson, #46 (Ben Wang): Street-smart, superstitious, and always ready to share an unsolicited and unfiltered opinion, Hank bonds with Ray, Peter, and Arthur to form a group they call “The Four Musketeers.” He has a deep knowledge of The Long Walk’s history and winning strategies, but will it be enough to sustain him when his body begins to fail?

Curly, #7 (Roman Griffin Davis): Curly is the pack’s youngest member. He lied about his age to make it to The Long Walk and is plagued by leg pain in the opening stretch. Ray forms a bond with Curly as he struggles to keep up with the older, more worldly walkers.

Richard Harkness, #49 (Jordan Gonzalez): Eager, bookish Harkness is an aspiring journalist who carries a notepad around with him during the walk to chronicle the journey for posterity. But Ray and Peter remind Harkness that to do that he’ll have to survive every last mile and — in the end — stand alone.

Collie Parker, #48 (Joshua Odjick): Parker, an Indigenous participant in the walk, exudes a tough exterior with those around him but deep down he’s homesick and scared. As the miles pass and the tensions grow, he develops an increasingly antagonistic relationship with Gary Barkovitch.

The Major (Mark Hamill): Known simply as “The Major,” there is not much known about this authoritarian true believer, aside from serving as the figurehead and originator of the grueling televised competition known as The Long Walk. Menacing behind his dark sunglasses, The Major barks slogans meant to both motivate and intimidate contestants, a ruthless enforcer whose mysterious connection to several walkers is gradually revealed.

Shiro Games Reveals Gamescom 2025 Lineup

Shiro Games, the award-winning developer of Northgard, Wartales, and Dune: Spice Wars, is visiting this year’s gamescom.

Shiro Games will showcase three upcoming titles at gamescom: SpaceCraft, the multiplayer interstellar space sim and automation adventure; Farever, the online cooperative action RPG set in a high-fantasy open world; and Frostrail, the first-person, crafting survival game from Barotrauma developer FakeFish.

Gamescom attendees will have the opportunity to be among the first to see the titles in action by visiting the Shiro Games booth, located in Hall 03.2 at Stand B050g – C051g (B2B only).

In SpaceCraft, traverse among solar systems, planets, and space stations to collect resources, establish planetary bases, and expand an interstellar empire. Customize and outfit ships with mining lasers and weaponry, navigating to planets full of untapped resources while attempting to establish trade networks and carve a future for humanity among the stars. SpaceCraft will launch on PC via Steam.

Farever presents adventurers with an expansive high-fantasy world to explore, complete with challenging enemies and dungeons. Select a character class specializing in tanking, DPS, and support roles. Choose from more than 100 weapons, each with its own skills, and tinker for nearly unlimited build variety. Explore an untamed world alone or with friends, tackling scalable content and securing new loot to grow ever stronger. Farever will receive a beta planned for late 2025.

Frostrail invites survivors into a post-apocalyptic world covered in snow and ice. Climb aboard a powerful locomotive alongside allies and fight undead creatures while staving off deadly conditions and frigid temperatures. Disembark from the train to scavenge vaults and abandoned settlements before returning to the train with looted items to craft new gear, vehicle upgrades, and more. Frostrail will launch on PC via Steam in 2026.

“We are thrilled to attend gamescom with three exciting upcoming titles,” said Shiro Games CEO Nicolas Cannasse. “At Shiro Games, we strive to push boundaries with compelling experiences, and we can’t wait to show SpaceCraft, Farever, and Frostrail in action.”

NEON, the award-winning studio and leader in the independent horror space, will host the “Next Wave of Horror” panel on Friday, July 25th at this year’s Comic-Con International. It will feature exclusive sneak footage and a discussion with cinematic horror powerhouse Osgood Perkins (Longlegs, The Monkey) and Tatiana Maslany for Keeper, Together’s writer/director Michael Shanks, stars/producers Dave Franco and Alison Brie, and Shelby Oaks’ debut feature filmmaker, Chris Stuckmann.

After revolutionizing the independent horror landscape with LONGLEGS which grossed over $100 million globally, NEON has proven to be an incredibly versatile independent distributor. With TOGETHER, SHELBY OAKS, and KEEPER, the studio will usher in a thrilling, fresh wave of horror that delivers something for every kind of scare lover.

Michael Shanks body horror love story TOGETHER had audiences raving and squirming in their seats at Sundance and SXSW. Featuring knockout performances from Dave Franco and Alison Brie like you’ve never seen them before. TOGETHER is one of the most anticipated horror films of the year with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The story follows Tim and Millie (Franco and Brie) years into their relationship, finding themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh. TOGETHER is in theaters nationwide on July 30th.

Youtube film critic Chris Stuckmann steps into the director role with his long-awaited found footage horror film, SHELBY OAKS. After garnering an overwhelming amount of online support through a kickstarter campaign, SHELBY OAKS has gained an unprecedented following with critics calling it “one of the best horror debuts” and “creepy as all hell”. Stuckmann co-wrote the script about a woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister. She falls into obsession upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real. Stuckmann’s directorial debut will be in theaters October 3rd.

Scare aficionado Osgood Perkins’ collaboration with NEON continues, descending deeper into darkness with his eerie new trip, KEEPER.
