The good people over at The Wrap have announced that J.J. Abrams is going to be the director of the next Star Wars film. According to the piece, this information was leaked to them from an “individual with knowledge of the production”. Until we get official confirmation, we are listing this as rumor, but the website seems fairly certain of their source. This individual also claims that Argo director Ben Affleck was also in the running for the directorship, but Abrams eventually won out in the decision.
