Today, Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games revealed that Knockout, the second expansion for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, will launch November 17th on Xbox and Steam, with mobile, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch ports to follow! The paid DLC introduces a brand-new heavy-handed dwarf Brawler, armed with powerful metal fists designed to help miners meet Deep Rock Galactic’s ever-increasing productivity quotas.
Management’s demands are growing sky-high. To remedy underwhelming profit margins, R&D is deploying the Brawler, a particularly brutal mining specialist. Featuring solid metal fists, rock-punching skills, and (most importantly) an epic mohawk, the Brawler further expands the game with new ways to mine rock and kill bugs.
Meet the Brawler
When the job calls for brute force and reckless efficiency, the Brawler answers. At the heart of the Brawler’s kit are his metal fists, a powerful melee weapon for unlucky enemies and cave walls alike. Hoxxes IV has never looked so fragile as the new class smashes its way towards valuable minerals.
A New World
The Knockout Expansion also introduces the dry, dangerous, and inhospitable Sandblasted Corridors biome, where the Brawler excels in its battles. Miners can expect swirling sand-filled tornadoes alongside a host of new dangers…
Face The Brood
In addition, Management is introducing the high-risk Brood Harvest mission. Miners will face off with the Dreadnought Empress boss, an insectoid matriarch spawning sacrificial offspring to build a biological shield between her and the elite dwarven crew. Workers, be warned – get to the Dreadnought Empress before her Brood gets to them.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor has already proven a hit since its launch, selling over two million copies since its release into Early Access, and bringing its intense survival gameplay to mobile, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The Knockout expansion marks the second major DLC following the game’s 1.0 launch, bringing new strategies, fresh chaos, and plenty of opportunities for miners to prove their mettle.
