Today, independent developer Torn Banner Studios and Green Man Gaming announced Camp Blood (1.2), the latest update for No More Room In Hell 2. Featuring the first new map since the title’s 1.0 launch in August, plus end-game perks for dedicated Responders, this update brings fresh content just in time for Halloween, with plans to add more maps and gameplay systems as the title continues its post-release journey.

1.2 FEATURES & UPDATES:

  • Hell Rains Down on Ruby Lake: No More Room In Hell 2’s latest Survival map ‘Ruby Lake’ is set deep in the forests of New Jersey and inspired by cult-classic slasher films of the 1980s. Responders help the National Guard extract all remaining citizens while avoiding the deadly grip of the zombies hiding in abandoned facilities.
  • Rewards for Esteemed Responders: Those who have served their time in the Civil Recovery Corps can now retire with ‘Distinguished Service’ status, passing their expertise to the newer Responders. End-game players can retire Responders at Level 100 or higher to unlock bonus XP, with each level gained past 100 increasing the next Responder’s starting level by one, up to a maximum of Level 30. It also includes a new rewards track, which offers:
    • Perks: Small statistic increases to stamina, shove stamina, and healing.
    • Passive items: Various benefits including Shambler infection cloud resistance, weapon switch speed increases, and speed and health restoration boosts.
    • Cosmetics: Some of the rarest cosmetic items in the game, including the gold compass and flashlight.
  • Subtitles Added in Experimental Phase: By popular demand, subtitles will be added to No More Room In Hell 2 after careful testing. Text size and opacity can be changed in settings, and all Responder dialogue will be subtitled. As the function is in the experimental phase, player feedback is encouraged.
  • Fixes Shaped by Community: Alongside a horde of bug fixes since Resupply (1.1), No More Room In Hell 2 now enables controller players to adjust left and right dead zones separately and has a fixed reporting function for bad actors.

Torn Banner Studios is also set to release three cosmetic bundles, celebrating classic horror tropes and a legendary character from the original No More Room In Hell mod that fans will be sure to recognise. Bundles will include a full-body Cosmetic Set, a unique flashlight, compass, and icon – with the Killer Cat bundle also featuring the winners of the Community Cat Contest.

Camp Blood (1.2) arrives following Torn Banner Studios’ celebration of 1 million players and units sold, with No More Room In Hell 2 officially becoming the developer’s largest launch to date. The game has established itself as one of the top-performing survival horror launches in recent years, reaching a peak of nearly 16,000 concurrent players on Steam.

Steve Piggott, CEO & Creative Director at Torn Banner Studios, said: “Launching our 1.2 update is an important milestone for us as the first major wave of new content to No More Room in Hell 2 since our 1.0 release. We’re thrilled by how warmly the game has been received, and so grateful to expand this world for our community. We couldn’t be more grateful to our players, and we are beyond excited for Responders to dive in and experience what we’ve built.”

Torn Banner Studios and Green Man Gaming are also offering players 25% off on Steam and Epic Games stores throughout the rest of October, with a 20% discount on PlayStation and XBOX Stores until 4th and 5th November respectively.

No More Room In Hell 2 delivers an intense 8-player co-op experience where high-stakes permadeath ensures every encounter with the undead is a fight for survival, and every victory is another step back from the brink of apocalypse. Alongside full cross-play for PC and console, 1.0 drastically expanded the sequel with new maps, game modes, and gameplay refinements to deliver an unrelenting tactical horror experience.

No More Room in Hell 2 is available now on PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
