Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the leading naval multiplayer game World of Warships, is bringing October updates to both World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends. In World of Warships, players can dive into the strategic “Pacific Front” event brimming with rewards, including a Tier VI Premium destroyer. The Armory also introduces a new Tier IX cruiser, as well as a special “Uncharted Seas” event that offers two Tier VIII destroyers.
Meanwhile, World of Warships: Legends’ October update features a fresh campaign with a Tier VIII Premium cruiser up for grabs, the start of the “Road to New Year” event which offers players the chance to receive a rare ship, and a new Bureau Project.
World of Warships welcomes the “Pacific Front” event
Leading World of Warships’ October update is the strategic “Pacific Front” event. Players will now engage in Operations, a grouped series of battles, that build toward a final showdown with a Primary Target. Emerging victorious from this final showdown yields Progress Tokens, which unlock plenty of prizes on a reward track that culminates in the receipt of U.S. Tier VI Premium destroyer Monaghan.
In the Armory, an “Uncharted Seas” event is available from 15 October, bringing two Tier VIII destroyers to the game, Pan-Asian Datong and Dutch Philips van Almonde. During the event, players can collect Seafarer Tokens, using them to unlock rewards including a permanent camouflage, enemy destruction effect, and rare bonuses. Also in the Armory from this update is Italian Tier IX cruiser La Spezia, available via Research Points.
Finally, from 8 October, in preparation for All Hallow’s Eve, players can also work their way through a Halloween event pass, packed with shriek-worthy rewards such as the battleship Warspite and cosmetics.

World of Warships: Legends launches the “Road to New Year” Event
In World of Warships: Legends, October’s update is headlined by a new four-week campaign, “The Foghorn’s Bride”. After completing 80 milestones with Admiralty Backing, players will receive British Tier VIII Premium cruiser Aberdeen, which sports four twin 152mm turrets that fire off Armour-Piercing shells, alongside fast-reloading guns, to deal rapid damage to opponents.
Leading into the final months of the year, this update also kicks off the “Road to New Year” event, starting from October 5. This event brings players a unique chance to receive a rare ship for free – including U.S. Legendary Tier Premium battleship Ohio, Soviet Tier VII Premium battleship Lenin, or French Tier VII Premium battleship Jean Bart. To do so, players can earn Giftlets by participating in in-game activities across consecutive updates, which can later be redeemed for rewards.
Closing out the update is the addition of a new Halloween battle mode, just in time for spooky season, which comes packed with thematic rewards. Plus, from October 5, Pan-American Legendary Tier destroyer La Pampa comes to the Store, available for Steel, and British Legendary Tier battleship St. Vincent arrives as a Bureau Project.
