Publisher Megabit and Norwegian studio Red Thread Games today unveiled a new trailer for Hello Sunshine, the survival mystery set in the sun-scorched ruins of a corporate empire, as part of the PC Gaming Show: Tokyo Direct.
The new footage offers a deeper look at the wasteland left behind by Sunshine, following the player as she scavenges crumbling settlements, salvage parts from downed war machines, and leans on her towering robot companion for shade, protection, and survival against the relentless heat.
This trailer also shows how the relationship between human and machine begins to develop. New scenes tease the robot growing more attentive to his human charge, culminating in a moment where he interacts with the player for the first time, lifting her into his mechanical palm in a spectacular set-piece against the night sky.
In Hello Sunshine, players walk in the shadow of their giant robot companion across a scorched world, whether playing alone or with a friend in co-op. There is one simple rule: stay out of the sun. Step outside the robot’s shade during the day and players will find that the punishing heat will eventually kill them; remain close, and they might last until nightfall.
