On October 4, 5 & 7, AMC Global Media’s HIDIVE and Iconic Events Releasing will present the three-day North American limited theatrical release of the new 4K adaptation of NINJA SCROLL, writer and director Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s critically acclaimed 1993 samurai drama film set in the Edo period of feudal Japan. Tickets are on sale now for the three-day limited release, the first-ever and perhaps only chance for anime fans and movie buffs alike to see the newly remastered 4K version of Ninja Scroll in North American theaters.

This highly-anticipated 4K limited release of Ninja Scroll will be available in approximately 600 theaters across the U.S. and Canada and offered in both English sub and dub during its October 4, 5 & 7 run.

Supervised by Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri and produced by AMC Global Media’s Sentai, the Ninja Scroll 4K digital adaptation is the result of a painstaking restoration and remastering of the movie, a meticulous process commencing with a 4K scan (3840 × 2160 pixels) of the original 35mm negative, followed by a frame-by-frame repair of any damage and lastly color correction — creating the archival-quality digital master of the film that moviegoers throughout the U.S. and Canada will soon get to experience in less than four weeks.
