The Nocturne Theatre’s production of Dracula: The Musical runs for a limited engagement, transforming the historic theatre-in-the-round into an immersive gothic world where no audience member is more than a few feet from the action. With a live rock orchestra, soaring operatic vocals, aerial vampires flying overhead, cinematic special effects, and Frank Wildhorn’s haunting score performed live, this is less a traditional musical than an all-encompassing theatrical event.
Based on Bram Stoker’s immortal novel, Dracula: The Musical follows Count Dracula’s obsessive pursuit of Mina Murray, a woman he believes to be the reincarnation of his lost love. As desire turns to terror and immortality collides with faith, Mina, Jonathan Harker, and Professor Van Helsing must confront one of literature’s greatest monsters before darkness consumes them all.
