Abyssus, the brinepunk roguelike co-op FPS from publisher The Arcade Crew and developer DoubleMoose Games, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 25 – and it’s launching with full crossplay across all platforms! The announcement was revealed in an all-new gameplay trailer brimming with the high energy action central to Abyssus’ plunge into a lost world, along with a first look at what’s in store for the game’s biggest free update yet.
PlayStation 5 players will also be able to pre-order the full Brine Edition (including the base game and four cosmetic DLCs) in a physical version.
For the first time, console players will descend into the depths alongside PC players, with seamless cross-platform multiplayer support at launch. Whether you’re on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Steam, you’ll be able to squad up in 1–4 player online co-op and take on the corrupted forces lurking within a long-forgotten underwater civilization.
Launching alongside the console release is the free 1.3 content update, expanding Abyssus with a brand-new God, new blessings, a new area filled with fresh enemies and challenges, additional room objectives and gameplay improvements, including matchmaking enhancements.
A new premium cosmetic DLC, the Brinerot Pack, will also be available at launch for players who want to descend in style.
Set in a unique brinepunk universe, Abyssus blends intense first-person shooter combat with roguelike progression systems, powerful weapon upgrades and synergistic blessings that make every run different. Designed for cooperative play, the game emphasizes team synergy, build experimentation and high-risk, high-reward combat encounters beneath the ocean’s surface.
