Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) today announced an update to the Steam® version of Darwin’s Paradox! The Community Patch update adds quality-of-life improvements and major bug fixes based on player feedback, providing further post-launch support.

“We’ve been blown away by your support and kind messages for Darwin’s Paradox! We’ve also been listening closely to your feedback – and today we’re happy to roll out our Community Patch, focused on delivering a smoother, fairer, and more readable experience,” said the ZDT Studio development team in a statement.

The Community Patch will also be added to the PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store versions of the game at a later date.

Community Patch main fixes:

  • Better visibility for certain lethal hazards
  • Adjusted enemy behaviours and patrol patterns
  • Reworked camera angles to help you anticipate what’s ahead
  • Improved lighting in several areas
  • Improved handling of the robot suit in “Suiting Up!” chapters
  • Fixed sections that could lead to soft-lock situations
  • Fine-tuned checkpoint placement
  • Shorter respawn times to improve pacing
  • Refined puzzles with clearer hints
  • Reduced frequency of Help System prompts
  • Performance optimizations

Bugs fixes

Plus, the Community Patch brings new visual customization options for players to optimize their gameplay experience.

New cinematic effects settings:

  • Motion Blur
  • Sharpen
  • Grain
  • Vignetting
  • Chromatic Aberration

Additionally, the ZDT Studio development team released an update for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of Darwin’s Paradox! that introduces Simplified and Traditional Chinese language support. The team also released a hotfix for the PlayStation®5 version of Darwin’s Paradox on May 5 that addressed system crashes and DLC bonus skin delays.

Darwin’s Paradox! is a new, action-adventure platformer available now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo® Switch 2, Steam®, the Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store.
