Ubisoft unveils a Behind-the-Scenes video spotlighting the creation of the new Kitipo map in Just Dance 2026 Edition. This unique collaboration with dancer Angelina Bruno emphasizes the universal language of movement.
Following a first collaboration with Just Dance 2021 Edition, Ubisoft Paris Studio is proud to renew its partnership with Angelina Bruno, a Belgian hip-hop dancer and sophrologist who has become a symbol of strength and artistic expression. Through her art, she embraces her disability and transforms it into a source of creative expression. Recently, Angelina captivated audiences worldwide as a performer in both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Paralympic Games: her performance became a powerful symbol of resilience.
The Kitipo map, performed by Dixson Waz, La Tukiti and Amenazandel, artists from the Dominican Republic, draws inspiration from a vibrant Caribbean cultural icon — a van equipped with a massive sound system, often at the heart of local street parties. This musical genre, still underrepresented in Just Dance, brings fresh energy and cultural diversity to the game’s lineup.
The Behind-the-Scenes video offers an intimate look at Angelina’s journey, featuring exclusive footage from the shoot and her reflections on resilience, confidence, and self-expression. Through her story, she wants to share how dance can empower individuals to embrace their identity and inspire others, especially by bringing representation in the video game industry. “Someone who looks like me could say: it’s not impossible for me to dance.’” says Angelina. “It gives people who are like us, symbols and representation.”
“The map we created with Angelina Bruno for Just Dance 2026 Edition embodies the spirit of Just Dance, where every dancer’s individuality shines,” says Hélène Jeannin, Content Director at Ubisoft Paris Studio. “Angelina brings her incredible energy and talent to the screen. Her presence in the Kitipo map celebrates unity and self-expression.”
Just Dance 2026 Edition invites everyone to connect through the joy of movement. This edition features a wide range of coaches representing different bodies, styles, and worlds. It also includes alternative choreographies like Feather (Parachute Version), designed to be performed seated, making the map accessible to more players.
Just Dance® 2026 Edition is available on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles and playable on Nintendo Switch™ 2 through backwards compatibility.
