astragon Entertainment and astragon Development today release a brand new trailer for Seafarer: The Ship Sim, revealing the diverse fleet of ships that will be available at the launch of Early Access in this year. The trailer will be part of the “Games Forged in Germany” showcase, which is an event on Steam with exclusive premieres, announcements, updates and new gameplay trailers of games developed in Germany. Seafarer: The Ship Sim will be released in Early Access for $24.99 / ₤20.99 / 24,99€ (SRP) via Steam and Epic Games Store for PC this year.

The launch fleet consists of the following ships:

  • Tugboat Bernhard
  • Cargo Ferry Herbert
  • Police Boat Rigid
  • Police Ship Density
  • Fire Boat Archer
  • Fire Ship Lancer

Each ship in Seafarer: The Ship Sim is fully walkable, equipped with a variety of interactive systems and offers unique gameplay experiences for a range of maritime professions. And this is just the beginning, as more ships will gradually join the fleet during the Early Access phase.

Seafarer: The Ship Sim puts players at the helm of their own career. Different factions offer unique missions, challenges and rewards. Whether transporting goods between harbors, fighting fires on the high seas or exploring a vast world – there are no limits to the design of your own personal adventure. From the humble tugboat to the mighty cargo ship, the game offers a multitude of detailed ships. On the high seas, every moment holds new surprises – emergency signals require immediate action and lost cargo needs to be recovered. You can also move around freely on your own ship, managing repairs, carry out maintenance work or control water cannons to fight fires.

In the Story Mode of Seafarer: The Ship Sim, an exciting storyline over several missions awaits players, in which all factions are involved. In contrast, you can set sail independently in Quick Play Mode. The character editor also makes it possible to personalize the appearance of your own captain and thus your journey.

Utilizing the physics and graphics systems of Unreal Engine 5Seafarer: The Ship Sim offers a beautiful, open game world that invites exploration. Whether the detailed ship models, busy harbors or mighty oil rigs – there is always something to discover on the sea routes. And thanks to the interactive wave simulation of NVIDIA WaveWorks 2.0, voyages in Seafarer: The Ship Sim feel more realistic than ever before.
