Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing released a brand new update, Patch 1.2, for Homeworld 3, introducing two new maps, a number of gameplay updates, multiplayer adjustments and performance optimizations. In addition to the patch, players who purchased the Year One Pass now have access to the newest playable faction, the Kalan Raiders.

  • Kalan Raiders Fleet DLC – The Kalan Raiders Fleet Pack for War Games is now available for individual purchase or for those who purchased the Year One Pass. This new faction lets players wield unique fleet compositions to explore powerful new strategic options. For example, the Capture Fleet focuses on using ships and mechanics to capture enemy units to bolster the fleet. Meanwhile, the Raider Fleet can produce a mix of Hiigaran and Kalan ships. Players will also receive new artifacts and challenges as well as a new faction emblem.

  • Patch 1.2 – Now available to all Homeworld 3 players, introducing two new maps, gameplay updates, multiplayer adjustments and performance optimizations. Notable changes include:

    • Two New Maps

      • Tears in Rain

      • Arran Perimeter

    • General Updates

      • Hyperspace button has been repositioned and resized

      • Retiring and scuttling has been added to the control panel

      • Splat damage texture has been corrected

      • Added a rebindable hotkey to select all undamaged ships

    • Gameplay Updates

      • Erratic frigate movements have been corrected

      • Hiigaran destroyer targeting has been corrected

      • Increased the damage of the frigates’ Barrage ability

    • Multiplayer Updates

      • Stability changes

      • Improvements to the Incarnate AI

    • Tech and Performance Optimizations

      • Framerate optimizations

      • Steam Deck optimizations

      • Improvements to Dynamic Splat Damage system
