In the 18 days since NC (formerly NCSOFT) launched the global version of its open-world MMORPG AION 2, gamers have logged more than 108.2 million hours in its fantasy world Atreia, more than 6,000 years of combined playtime. Those statistics and more were published in NC’s new infographic today illustrating nearly three weeks of player behavior.

Starting with Early Access on September 30 and the public launch on October 5 on Steam and PURPLE (NC’s proprietary platform), AION 2 has reached more than 400,000 concurrent players, making waves as one of 2026’s biggest surprises.

Twitch viewers paid attention, too. AION 2 has garnered more than 35.6 million hours watched on Twitch since Early Access began, with Steam Charts ranking it the fourth most-watched game on Twitch from October 5 to 12.

Blazing equally hot is the war between the game’s two factions, the Elyosians and Asmodians. Players have recorded more than 26.4 million PvP kills and cleared 53.2 million instances while completing 21.1 million party dungeon runs. Urugugu Canyon is the most-cleared instance at nearly four million clears on Normal difficulty. Players have been very busy, creating more than 6.3 million characters, led by the Gladiator, the most-played class, followed by the Chanter and the Sorcerer.
