SpaceCraft, the multiplayer interstellar space sim and automation adventure from renowned developer Shiro Games (Northgard, Dune: Spice Wars, Wartales), launches its first Community Update on its early journey today, introducing massive improvements across the game.

Shaped by player feedback, SpaceCraft’s Community Update 1 reduces friction, clarifies progression, and frees players up to explore while their bases continue working autonomously. Production is now faster, and manual crafting has been rebalanced to give both systems clear and distinct roles.

The update also adds a new Advanced Workshop with expanded storage, additional drone routes with direct Workshop connections to streamline delivery, and custom resource limits. At the same time, Warehouse and Factory footprints have been reduced, making them easier to fit into an efficient base layout.

Key features of Community Update 1 include:

  • Workshops and Smelters continue production after players leave, supported by a new crafting queue
  • Faster automated production and rebalanced manual crafting give each system a clearer purpose
  • Technology XP is now earned through production milestones, encouraging players to diversify their manufacturing
  • Shared Personal Storage can be accessed from any station
  • Corporation Recruitment Boards allow players to promote, browse and compare Corporations
  • New private messages and improved member visibility make recruitment and communication easier
  • Solo Corporations receive a dedicated interface and separate rankings
  • Contracts, laser patches and other systems have been rebalanced, alongside additional quality-of-life improvements

Community Update 1 strengthens SpaceCraft’s foundations as a persistent online sandbox for exploration and industry with improvements that streamline production and automation, freeing players up to spend more time exploring the universe, while at the same time offering more variation in progression systems and Corporations easier to navigate.

“This Early Access period has been hugely instructive for us and our plans for the future of SpaceCraft,” said Nicolas Carnasse, CEO of Shiro Games. “Our players have shown us – and told us – how they want to play, and this update means they will be waiting at Workstations less, getting more out of their bases, and having more freedom to explore the galaxy and expand their businesses, whether that’s alone or alongside other players.”

SpaceCraft is available on PC via Steam for $29.99 with English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese language support. For more information, head to the Steam page and follow SpaceCraft and Shiro Games on X/Twitter.
