NACON and developer ACE Team are thrilled to announce the release of their new co-op horror game, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation™5, and Xbox Series X|S with full crossplay and Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Assemble a squad of explorers during the Conquistador era and venture into an uncharted continent. Search for a legendary city rumored to hold unimaginable riches, but beware: unnamable, hostile creatures and unexplained phenomena await. The game plunges players into an online co-op adventure for up to four explorers, loosely inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s short story The Mound.

An Immersive Journey into Unspeakable Horror

In The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, players form an expedition of up to four members to brave the depths of a hostile jungle in search of priceless treasures. Before setting out, the team gathers to select a contract, defining their expedition’s objectives. They then venture out to gather wealth and resources to bring back. In theory, it sounds simple—but the jungle holds terrifying surprises that can derail any expedition…

When Reality Shatters…

While the jungle is crawling with hostile creatures, the true enemy isn’t always the one you can see. In The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, adventurers must fight their own minds. Sanity deteriorates with every expedition, warping players’ perception of reality. Teams will face visual and auditory hallucinations that directly impact gameplay and coordination. Every expedition can quickly turn into a living nightmare. In this jungle, death is not the end: fallen adventurers can become corrupted, turning against their own brothers-in-arms.

Co-op at the Heart of the Horror

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu emphasizes communication through its proximity voice chat system. To face the jungle’s dangers, staying close, remaining stealthy, and conserving resources are key to completing contracts and making it back alive.
