Today, Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios celebrate the physical launch of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, with the black-and-white first-person shooter available to purchase now from retailers across the world.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire sees a physical release across two editions, a Standard Edition and a Deluxe MOUSE: P.I. For Hire – Mouseburg Edition, both available starting today.

  • The physical Standard Edition is available globally for PlayStation 5 (physical disc) at USD $29.99, and Nintendo Switch 2 (physical game-on cartridge) at USD $39.99.
  • The physical Deluxe “Mouseburg Edition” is available for PC (Steam code in a box), PlayStation 5 (physical disc) and Xbox Series X (physical disc) at USD $49.99, and Nintendo Switch 2 (physical game-on cartridge) at USD $59.99, though stock is extremely limited and region restrictions apply.

Pre-orders should also begin shipping soon, so players are encouraged to check with their local retailer for updates.

The physical Deluxe MOUSE: P.I. For Hire – Mouseburg Edition includes:

  • The base MOUSE: P.I. For Hire game
  • A 7″ Vinyl Record with four tracks from the Official Game Soundtrack, featuring all-original tunes from composer Patryk Scelina, in addition to a brand-new track created for the game by Parisian high-voltage jazz powerhouses, Caravan Palace
  • A double-sided poster (340mm x 340mm) featuring a map of Mouseburg on the front and a schematic of Jack Pepper’s trusty “Micer” pistol on the back
  • A printed MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Comic Book, including 2 sticker sheets
  • 33 Mouseburg Baseball Trading Cards, inspired by the in-game minigame
  • 3 Premium Mouseburg Postcards

The Standard Edition of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire can of course still be purchased digitally across PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 for USD $29.99. The Xbox release features Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing players to access the game across the Xbox ecosystem on PC and Xbox Series X|S at no additional cost. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available on Steam for USD $39.99 and includes the following:

  • The base MOUSE: P.I. For Hire game
  • Access to the first DLC expansion for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire (to release at a later date)

With Metacritic and OpenCritic scores of 80 and 81 respectively, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been burning up the review charts as one of the highest-rated titles this year. The game has also been a hit with players, with player ratings of 94% “Very Positive” on Steam, 8.2 out of 10 on Metacritic, 4.8 out of 5 stars on PlayStation, and 4.8 out of 5 stars on Xbox. The teams at Fumi Games and PlaySide have not slowed down with updates either, releasing a string of patches and hotfixes with quality of life improvements and bug fixes, including a major recent update that introduced the highly requested “Level Revisit” feature. Players can now replay previously completed levels, allowing them to grab any collectibles and finish side quests they may have missed on their first playthrough.
