Publisher MicroProse is excited to announce that Dagger Directive, a tactical first-person shooter that blends modern mechanics with a nostalgic visual flair, will launch into Early Access on Steam on June 3, 2025.
In Dagger Directive, players step into the boots of an international special forces operator in Task Force Dagger, facing off against terrorist factions, criminal syndicates, and rogue nationalists across a globe-spanning campaign. Missions are nonlinear, equipment is highly customizable, and each decision—from time of day to approach vector—shapes the outcome.
“With Dagger Directive, we wanted to create a shooter where planning and precision matter just as much as reflexes,” said Daniel Fowler, lead developer at Arcane Alpacas LLC “Every mission offers tactical freedom. You can go loud, go silent, or go somewhere in between. That flexibility, paired with grounded simulation and co-op multiplayer, sets the tone for what’s to come.”
