Wargaming (USA), Inc., the U.S. arm of Wargaming Group, the publisher, and developer of the leading multiplayer vehicular combat games World of Warships and World of Tanks, today announced a $100,000 donation to the Maui Strong Fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) currently supporting communities impacted by the devastating fires that engulfed the heart of Maui this past August.

“In times of adversity, communities come together, and we believe in the strength and resilience of the Maui community,” said Stan Watt, Director of Wargaming (USA), Inc. “Our donation to the Maui Strong Fund reflects our commitment to stand by the people of Maui during their time of need. Together, we can help rebuild and empower this vibrant community.”

In the spirit of unity and support, Wargaming invites their players to join a special Maui Strong Fund Charity Stream with the U.S. teams of World of Warships and World of Tanks + World of Tanks: Modern Armor on Tuesday, September 28, beginning at 12:00 p.m. EST. This interactive event will be hosted on the individual Twitch channels of those games and promises an afternoon of entertainment, community engagement, and opportunities to win exciting random prizes.

“Mahalo to Wargaming for their generous donation to the Maui Strong Fund,” said Micah Kāne, CEO and president of Hawai‘i Community Foundation. “The complex, multi-layered needs of this disaster requires all of us to come together to support Maui now and in the journey ahead.”
