Square Enix Collective® and FuturLab are thrilled to let POWERWASH SIMULATOR players loose in one of Final Fantasy’s most iconic locations, as the Midgar Special Pack is out now! The free* expansion – which was created in collaboration with the team behind the legendary Final Fantasy VII – is available on all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, PlayStation®4 (PS4™), PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Nintendo Switch™, and Steam®.

Players will take up their tools and tackle five new levels for PowerWash Simulator, featuring iconic locations, such as the charming Seventh Heaven bar and the breath-taking Mako Energy Exhibit, as well as vehicles and mechs both famed and feared, including the Hardy Daytona and Shinra Hauler, the Scorpion Sentinel and the Airbuster. Become the ultimate dirt-activist with a militant approach to muck, whilst discovering new dirt-types such as bio-residue. Whilst you share in Avalanche’s mission to clean up Midgar, you’re in no position to turn down commissions, whether they come from Barret’s crew or Shinra’s big shots. Whilst the fate of the City may be muddy, perhaps you can help clear a path for a few plucky heroes…Midgar awaits.

“We designed Midgar, the city of Mako in 1997. Who would have thought that we would be returning to these iron buildings in 2023 to wash off all the oil and dirt with a power washer? Now let’s get to work, over 25 years of filth isn’t going away without a fight,” said Yoshinori Kitase, FINAL FANTASY VII Director, and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Project Producer.

Tetsuya Nomura, FINAL FANTASY VII Character Designer and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Project Creative Director added, “When I heard about the proposal for a collab, I was quite busy with various other collabs and reviews, but I was especially excited about this one. I had just been playing PowerWash Simulator and was daydreaming about cleaning things from my titles. My immediate response was “let’s wash the entire Shinra building,” Unfortunately, that seemed to be a bit difficult, but the final line-up is exciting, nonetheless. This is something I have been looking forward to a lot and hope everyone has a great time!”

“It’s been an incredible privilege for the PowerWash Simulator team to recreate vehicles, locations and bosses from one of gaming’s most iconic titles,” said Dan Chequer, Lead Designer at FuturLab. “We’re all huge fans of the Final Fantasy franchise and hope our players enjoy cleaning the jobs down as much as we’ve enjoyed covering them in every type of dirt from bio to mako.”

“We’re so excited to be working with one of the most iconic franchises in gaming history for the Midgar Special Pack,” said Tímea Edvi, Director of Indie Publishing at Square Enix. “We knew that we wanted to do something really big to say thank you to the amazing PowerWash Simulator community for all their support – we can’t wait to see people playing it!”

* To access the free DLC players must have purchased or have access to the full POWERWASH SIMULATOR game.
