July 12, 2019 – Crunchyroll, the world’s most popular anime brand, is heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year with Crunchyroll HQ, the brand’s first-ever San Diego offsite location, along with the Crunchyroll booth on the show floor, an industry panel over the weekend and a series of nightlife experiences with XLEVELENT (@xlevelent).
The Crunchyroll Booth is back this year. Fans are invited to stop by and say hello for a free, random enamel pin. All fans who show off their pin to staff at Crunchyroll HQ will be given a free Crunchyroll Hime collectible coin, as supplies last.
Crunchyroll will also hold its annual industry panel on Saturday evening to give fans a closer look at the latest and greatest news coming from the platform, including events, gaming, programming, and more!
Crunchyroll HQ will be open to the public and will include a series of interactive activations:
- Crunchyroll Games – Attendees are invited to demo a variety of upcoming Crunchyroll Games before their launch, including “Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle”
- The Bananya Pool – The fan-favorite pool of “Bananya” plush is making its San Diego debut. Fans are invited to jump in and snap a pic using #Bananya
- Black Clover Photo Opp – Fans are invited to pose with Asta’s anti-magic sword, wearing a Black Bulls robe
Finally, for fans interested in SDCC nightlife, there are two XLEVELENT events available:
- Ready Party One powered by Crunchyroll – Wednesday, 7/17 from 8 PM – 2 PM
- Awesome Mixer Vol 2 powered by Crunchyroll featuring special guests Rock N Roll Hall of Fame member Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Dan Fogler (“Harry Potter: Fantastic Beasts,” “The Walking Dead”) – Friday, 7/19 from 8 PM – 2 PM
