Pathfinder: Kingmaker Release Date Announced

Larkspur, Calif. – July 20, 2018 – Owlcat Games and Deep Silver today proudly announce the highly anticipated Pathfinder: Kingmaker, the first single-player classically-influenced role playing video game based on the best-selling Pathfinder tabletop series, will be released for PC digitally on Sept. 25, 2018.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker will take players on a tour through the infamous Stolen Lands, the dangerous and turbulent territories well known within Pathfinder fandom. The game will revisit familiar characters as well as well-known locations within the series’ lore and treat players to brand new adventures, deadly foes and unforeseen twists and turns. Fans of the fantasy pen-and-paper RPG will experience its epic, heroic universe in new ways while RPG gamers will discover their favorite genre in a more contemporary light brought to life by stunning 3D graphics.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker will challenge players as both adventurers and rulers as they will be able to claim explored lands and carve their own kingdom from the wilderness. Kingdom founding will go beyond simple stronghold-building to become a true reflection of the hero’s character and choices made throughout the game. Each kingdom will be a living thing shaped by alignment, choices, allies and the hero’s ability to lead their people.

July 21, 2018 – At the Doctor Who panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego today, BBC AMERICA revealed the first teaser footage for the brand new season, featuring Jodie Whittaker along with co-stars Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole.

Offering a taste of what’s in store for viewers this fall, the trailer sees the Doctor and her new friends, Ryan Sinclair (Cole), Yasmin Khan (Gill) and Graham O’Brien (Walsh), traveling through space and time.

July 21, 2018 – National Geographic’s MARS Season 2 brought The Red Planet to San Diego Comic Con with the panel “When Earthlings Become Martians: National Geographic’s Mars, Season 2.”

The packed crowd in Room 7AB got an exclusive first look at a brand-new trailer for season two, which premieres Nov. 12, 2018.

Panelist and former NASA astronaut and author Leland Melvin captured a selfie from the stage with fellow panelists Dr. Stephen Petranek, award-winning author of How We’ll Live on Mars; Andy Weir, bestselling author of The Martian; Susan Wise Bauer, historian and author of the History of the World series; cast members JiHae (Mortal Engines) and Jeff Hephner (Chicago Med, Code Black), and series showrunner and executive producer Dee Johnson. Blizzard Announces Nerf Rival Overwatch Reaper Wight Edition

SAN DIEGO – July 20, 2018 – Blizzard Entertainment arrived at Comic-Con International: San Diego with a surprise reveal for fans of Overwatch^®: a sneak preview of the NERF RIVAL OVERWATCH REAPER WIGHT EDITION blaster. Designed in the style of Reaper’s signature accessory in Overwatch, the blaster is not only true to the game, but also a fully functional NERF toy.

The Wight Reaper Blaster is the first in the series developed in a collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and the NERF Rival brand to bring the iconic Overwatch accessories to life. Fans of the team-based action game will enjoy custom NERF RIVAL rounds with the Overwatch logo that are specifically colored for each blaster. The blaster will hold eight NERF RIVAL rounds, which it can propel at up to 90 feet per second. It will be equipped with a spring-action mechanism, a ready indicator, and a safety lock.

The NERF RIVAL OVERWATCH REAPER WIGHT EDITON blaster will launch in 2019.

With a player base of 40 million, Overwatch’s wide appeal continues to drive a robust merchandising program with brands like NERF. Blizzard Entertainment first teased this collaboration on Twitter on May 16; further details were unveiled during a panel discussion at Comic-Con International: San Diego by members of the Overwatch development team.

Star Trek Discovery Season 2 First-Look Trailer

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – July 20, 2018 – Today at Comic-Con International, “Star Trek” fans were provided a sneak peek at the highly anticipated season two premiere episode of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY during the series’ Hall H panel with cast and executive producers. The second season is slated to return to CBS All Access in early 2019.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY co-creator and executive producer Alex Kurtzman, who directed the season two premiere, also announced at today’s panel the plan for STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS. The four SHORT TREKS episodes will roll out monthly beginning this fall, and will be stand-alone stories, each running approximately 10-15 minutes. Each short will be an opportunity for deeper storytelling and exploration of key characters and themes which fit into STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and the expanding “Star Trek” universe.

Rainn Wilson will return to play Harry Mudd in a short he will also direct, and Aldis Hodge will star in another as Craft, a man who finds himself the only human on board a deserted ship. Additional episodes include a deep dive into Saru’s (Doug Jones) backstory as the first Kelpien to join Starfleet, and Tilly’s (Mary Wiseman) journey aboard the U.S.S. Discovery and her friendship with an unlikely partner.

“There is no shortage of compelling stories to tell in the ‘Star Trek’ universe that inspire, entertain, and either challenge our preconceived ideas or affirm long held beliefs, and we are excited to broaden the universe already with SHORT TREKS,” said Kurtzman. “Each episode will deliver closed-ended stories while revealing clues about what’s to come on in future STAR TREK: DISCOVERY episodes. They’ll also introduce audiences to new characters who may inhabit the larger world of ‘Star Trek.’”

The STAR TREK: DISCOVERY panel, moderated by season two guest star Tig Notaro (Chief Engineer Reno), featured a conversation with cast members, including Sonequa Martin-Green (Commander Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Commander Saru), Shazad Latif (Lt. Ash Tyler), Mary Wiseman (Ensign Sylvia Tilly), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Commander Paul Stamets), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), Mary Chieffo (L’Rell) and Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike). They were joined by executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – July 19 – Today at Comic-Con International: San Diego, Nexon, and Marvel Entertainment debuted the first gameplay trailer for MARVEL Battle Lines, a new strategic card battle game featuring hundreds of iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains. MARVEL Battle Lines will be released in 2018 as a free-to-download experience on the App Store® for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices.

A player’s deck in MARVEL Battle Lines is made up of 12 cards from a roster of hundreds of iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains as well as powerful abilities that can be used in a match. The goal of a match is to strategically place cards in consecutive order on the 3×4 grid that makes up the field of play to create powerful battle lines and combinations that will damage their opponent’s health meter. Players will begin each turn with four cards in their hand and have the ability to swap their cards, play an action card or end their turn by either placing a character card in the field of play or moving a card already deployed to an adjacent tile to attack an opponent’s card. The first player to bring their opponent’s health meter to zero using combinations of battle lines with their deck of characters – three across, three adjacent, four down, an L-shape, etc. – will win the match.

In MARVEL Battle Lines, players collect and build the ultimate deck of Super Heroes and Super Villains to take into battle across an expansive single-player campaign with an original story written by Marvel writer Alex Irvine and a real-time turn-based competitive player vs. player (PvP) mode. MARVEL Battle Lines’ intuitive gameplay allows players to battle in single player and be competitive in PvP from the beginning. Collecting cards from each battle in the single player or PvP modes, players can build diverse decks of powerful Super Heroes and Super Villains, mastering their strategies to take on greater challenges and compete with the best in PvP. In addition to a campaign with an original story from Marvel writer Alex Irvine, an array of single-player activities will revisit beloved Marvel storylines and events and continue to challenge and reward players.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., July 18th, 2018 — Leading publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment today launched the second trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, providing a new glimpse of the upcoming season premiere. July 19, 2018 – From Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television comes the highly anticipated YouTube Original series ORIGIN, an all new intergalactic space thriller starring Tom Felton [Harry Potter film franchise, Rise of the Planet of the Apes] and Natalia Tena [Harry Potter film franchise, Game of Thrones]. The teaser trailer was revealed today at a panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego attended by series creators and stars and moderated by BuzzFeed’s Marcus Jones.

The 10-episode series, from director Paul W.S. Anderson and the producers of The Crown and Outlander, follows a group of outsiders who find themselves abandoned on a ship bound for a distant land. Now they must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is far from who they claim to be.

The cast features an international roster of talent including Sen Mitsuji, Nora Arnezeder, Fraser James, Philipp Christopher, Nina Wadia, Madalyn Horcher, Siobahn Cullen, Adelayo Adedayo and Wil Coban.
